TOPEKA -- Kathryn Ruth "Kay" Bozarth Sells, 83, Topeka, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Liberal with the Rev. Phil Shull presiding.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
Miller Mortuary in Liberal is in charge of arrangements.
BRADFORD D. NEEL
MEADE -- Bradford D. "Buzz" Neel, 70, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at his residence in Meade.
He was born May 17, 1931, to Charles and Leda (Klotz) Neel in Ulysses.
He was a lifetime resident of Meade.
He married Nelda Mae Edmondson April 3, 1954, in Albuquerque, N.M. She died Sept. 18, 1997.
He was an air condition and duct work contractor for Eads Plumbing and Smith and Edwards.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Meade.
He was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church in Meade.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Leda and Bill Golobay, Meade; three sons, Kenneth Neel, Denver, Colo., William J. Neel, Meade, and Bradford D. Neel Jr., Pueblo, Colo.; two daughters, Wanda Sue Furry, Meade, and Tammy Kay Sheldon, Lakin; one brother, Lloyd Neel, Pampa, Texas; one sister, Donna Lee Holmes, Andrews, Texas; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Meade, with the Rev. Lynn E. Spencer presiding.
Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery
in Meade.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

RICHARD MANGELS
HUGOTON -- Richard "Keith" Mangels, 68, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, in Wichita.
He was born March 13, 1933, to Eli and Bertha Katherine (Nusser) Mangels in Rolla.
He was a lifetime resident of the area.
He married Patsy Ruth Cox Oct. 4, 1963, in Guymon, Okla. She survives.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was an instrument technician for the Bureau of Mines for the United States Government.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Elkhart.
His hobbies included reading, spending time with family and repairing things.
Other survivors include three sons, Tim Mangels and wife, Amanda, and Trevor Mangels and wife, Amber, all of Hugoton, and Tracy Mangels and wife, Laura, Holcomb; one daughter, Teresa Hull and husband, Terry, Richfield; one brother, Robert Mangels, Rolla; two sisters, Helen Mangels, Rolla, and Loeta Thomas and husband, Robert, Dodge City; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Esther Harford and Pauline Brown.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Rolla Cemetery
in Rolla, with the Rev. Gary Stafford presiding.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.
A memorial has been established for Victory In The Valley, Wichita, in care of Paul's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
FRANK J. SEVERIN
HUTCHINSON -- Frank J. Severin, 88, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at the Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinson.
He was born Oct. 2, 1913, to Frank James and Mary Ann (Hynek) Severin in Goltry, Okla.
He had been a resident of Hutchinson since 1947.
He married D. Orlean Norris Nov. 3, 1935, in Liberal. She died June 5, 1998.
He was employed as a warehouseman at Dillons for 25 years. He retired in 1978.
He was a member of the Christian Church in Hutchinson. He was a member of the Younger Longer Group.
He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. He had served as a volunteer at the Hutchinson Hospital for 14 years.
Survivors include one son, Francis W. "Sonny" Severin, Hutchinson; one daughter, Kathy Bearden, Hutchinson; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sheryl Severin; three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Elliott Mortuary Chapel in Hutchinson, with Dr. Lewis A. McPherren presiding.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery
in Hutchinson.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary.

MARLYSE K. MILBURN
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Marlyse Kay Milburn, 54, San Bernardino, formerly of Rolla, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at St. Bernadine Medical Center in San Bernardino.
She was born Nov. 12, 1946, to Vernon Milton and Zella Fay (Cox) Milburn in Liberal.
She grew up in Rolla and graduated from Rolla High School in 1964.
She attended Kansas State University and Panhandle State University, and she received a bachelor's of science degree from KSU in home economics and business administration.
She taught school in Rolla for one year before returning to KSU, where she received a master's degree.
In 1971, she moved to San Bernardino. She worked for Campus Crusade for Christ as an alumni and awards director for 30 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and attended the Community Bible Church.
She was also a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 11-11 for the past three years and the Lado Del Rio Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals for the past 19 years.
Survivors include her father, of Hooker, Okla.; one brother, Gene Milburn and wife, Joan, Derby; one sister, Susan Franklin and husband, Les, Liberal; five nieces and nephews, Shannon Milburn, Justin Milburn, Gena Milburn, Holly Williams and Ryan Franklin; and one great-niece, Haley Williams.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rolla United Methodist Church in Rolla with the Rev. Andrew Perry presiding.
Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.

KATHY DYER
Kathy Lynn Dyer, 49, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Dec. 12, 1951.
She lived in Liberal most of her adult life, moving here from Norton in 1988.
She is survived by her father, William Dyer, Wichita.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Restlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ron Suiter presiding.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary.
JACK E. NIX
Jack E. Nix, 73, Liberal, died Sunday, Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal.
He was born Aug. 8, 1922, to Roy E. and Faye (Lloyd) Nix in Liberal.
He grew up in the Liberal community and graduated from Liberal High School in 1948.
He earned degrees in English and geology from Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Okla., in 1948.
He was the movie projectionist for the Tucker and Plaza Theatres and the drive-in theatre for 22 years. He later worked at the Ford Book Store and Village Plaza Book Store for 13 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the 20th Century Sunday School Class.
He was a member of Fargo Lodge No. 300. He was Past Master Order of Eastern Star No. 104, and past Worthy Patron.
Survivors include one cousin, Rosemary (Lloyd) Smith, Oklahoma City; and special friend, Madelene Ford, Liberal.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Miller Chapel with the Rev. Phil Shull presiding.
Burial with Masonic Rites will be at the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call prior to service time at Miller Mortuary.
