Eileen K. Kramer, 85, of Latonia, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday at Rosedale Manor Nursing Home in Latonia.

She was a retired secretary with Beechnut Packing Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia. Her husband, Raymond Kramer, died in 1972.

Survivors include a sister, Marynell Lowe of Taylor Mill.

Services will be at noon Thursday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Stella Mcintosh, 77, of California, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Roy McIntosh, died in 1993. Two daughters, America Sebastian and Anna Price, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Delbert McIntosh of Falmouth, Granville McIntosh of Amarillo, Texas, and Darrell McIntosh, Mitchell McIntosh and Moses McIntosh, all of Alexandria; daughters, Sharon Sanders of California and Helen Turner of Covington; and brother, Mitchell Herald of Alexandria.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Grants Lick.

Mary Margaret Niebuer Meyer, 59, of Bellevue, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.

She was a payroll specialist with Executive Jet Management Co. at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Meyer of Bellevue; and sons, Dan Meyer of Cincinnati, Joe Meyer of Woodlawn and Tom Meyer of Bellevue; and five grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.

Lillian Louise Chowning Nieberding, 88, of Florence, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.

She was a homemaker and a member of Erlanger Christian Church, where she played the organ. She also played piano at Colonial Heights Nursing Home in Florence for services. Her husband, Vincent George Nieberding, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Vincent Nieberding of Carrollton; a daughter, Deborah Kay Wasson of Bloomington, Ill.; a sister, "Billie" Bluemlein of Erlanger; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Erlanger Christian Church. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Emma Lee Power Padgett, 81, of Harrison County, died Sunday at Grand Haven Nursing Home, Cynthiana. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Black Jack, Texas. Her husband, Nathan J. W. Padgett, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Wells of Harrison County; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Services will also be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at noon Saturday at the church.

Thomas Ray Parnell, 57, of Crittenden, died Monday at his home. He was a farmer, a member of Crittenden Masonic Lodge No. 694 and an Army veteran of the Vietname War.

Survivors include a wife, Patricia Parnell; sons, Jody Parnell and Matthew Parnell, both of Crittenden; daughters, Becky Epperson of Williamstown and Mandy Parnell of Crittenden; brothers, Kirby Parnell of Cleveland, Donald Parnell of Willingboro, N.J., and Jim Herald of Crittenden; a sister, Jalia Helscher of Harrison, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Francis Earl "Bud" Piper, 80, of Taylor Mill, died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday at St. Charles Care Center, Covington.

He was a retired electrician with Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati, a member of St. Anthony Church in Taylor Mill, Disabled American Veterans and Moose Lodge No. 1469 in Taylor Mill. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Boots Bessler Piper; sons, Dennis Piper of Villa Hills and Patrick Piper of Florida; daughters, Debbie Patane of Tiburon, Calif., Linda Klare and Kathy Mitchell, both of Edgewood; a sister, Dorothy Schumacher of Lebanon, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Church, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Prayers will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

She was a homemaker and a member of Lawrenceville Baptist Church, Grant County. Her husband, Ernest Robinson, died in 1967.

Survivors include a son, Michael Ray Robinson of Williamstown; a brother, Raymond Wilson of Alabama; and four grandchildren.

Urban F. Rust, 76, of Cold Spring, died at 8:38 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired part owner of Simon Fischer Olds, Newport, and a member of St. Joseph Church Holy Name Society, Resurrection Cho, St. Joe's Seniors and St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Fischer Rust; daughters, Christine Galbaugh, Debby Luebbers and Carolyn Schumacher, all of Cold Spring; a son, Michael Rust of Mason, Ohio; sisters, Florence Wagner of Fort Thomas and Ruth Daunt of Cold Spring; brothers, Albert Rust, Edward Rust and Art Rust, all of Cold Spring; and 11 grandchildren.

Wayne K. Warren Sr., 60, of California, KY died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas. He was an Army veteran and a manufacturing technician at Ford Motor Company's Sharonville, Ohio plant.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Warren of California; daughter, Jennifer Warren McCormick of Butler; son, Wayne Warren Jr. of Butler; sisters, Phyllis Blanton of Bellevue, Martha Davis of Sparta and Dorothy Brandt of Corbin; brothers, James Warren of Williamstown; Jan Warren of Independence, Luke Warren of Union and Paul Warren of Jerseyville, Illinois.

Rose Moore Welzel, 95, of Fort Wright, died Sunday at her home. She was a homemaker, attended Highland Avenue Wesleyan Church in Covington and was a member of New Corinth Church of Christ.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Thomas Hill, loved playing practical jokes

Thomas H. Hill loved life and made sure everyone around him did, too.

He loved being around people and was a prankster - even in his later years, said his son, Rick Hill, of Fort Wright.

In one prank while he was living at Rosedale Manor nursing home, Mr. Hill pretended to be asleep when a brand new employee came in to check on him. When the young woman came near to try to wake Mr. Hill, he raised up from his pillow and kissed the woman on the mouth.

"She didn't know what to do," the son said, chuckling.

But, he said, his dad was constantly kidding someone and was simply fun to be around.

Mr. Hill, 92, of Latonia, died at 4:25 a.m. Wednesday at Rosedale Manor in Latonia.

He was a retired mail handler with the U.S. Postal Service, Cincinnati, a member Latonia Christian Church and Golden Rule Lodge No. 345 F&AM and American Legion Post No. 203, Latonia.

He was a member of the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame for baseball and bowling, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He played semi-pro baseball in Covington in the late 1930s or early 1940s.

He loved to hunt and fish, play golf and bowl.

He was always there for his children and grandchildren and was always willing to help a friend, said his son.

His wife, Eva M. Hill, died in 1990.

In addition to his son, survivors include daughters, Bonnie Hill of Latonia and Janet Gerhardt of Raleigh, N.C.; sons, Charles F. Hill of Anchorage, Alaska, and Thomas R. Hill of Latonia; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Funeral home.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Memorials are suggested to Children's Hospital, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45229 or to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Kentucky 41014.

Loretta Bernens, 95, of died Wednesday at the Florence Park Care Center, Florence.

Ida M. Boyd, 89, of Englewood, Fla., died Jan. 5 in Englewood.

She was a homemaker.

William Darrell Byrge, 49, of Covington, died Dec. 30 at his home.

He was a disabled security guard.

He was an employee of Nutone, Cincinnati.

Ellis Jr. of Elsmere; daughters, Sandra Allen and Jacqueline Perdy, both of St. Augustine, Fla.; stepsons, James Downey of Taylor Mill and Robert Downey of Crescent Springs; a stepdaughter, Evelyn "Mae" Beach of Covington; brothers, Robert Ellis of Hebron and John Ellis of Milford, Ohio; one grandchild, six step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Friday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
