Floyd Powell, 88, of Falmouth, died Saturday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Oakland Christian Church, where he was an elder and deacon. He was also a member of the Falmouth Council of Junior Order of United American Mechanics Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Mae Wagner; daughters, Dorothy Louise Herron and JoyceAnn Mains, both of Falmouth, died Carolyn Simpson of Cynthiana; sons, Ernest Donald Powell of Goose Creek, S.C., and Edwin Lee Powell of Springfield, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Lillian Margaret Robinson, 90, of Florence, died at 6:26 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.

She was a homemaker and an assembly line worker with Kenner Toy Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Taylor Mill Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her husband, Oscar Robinson, died in 1963.

Survivors include sons, Everett Robinson of Dunnellon, Fla., James Robinson of Erlanger, William Robinson of Georgetown, Blaine Robinson of Verona and Vincent Robinson of Patriot, Ind.; daughters, Viola Donovan of Ludlow, Roseina Sasher of Erlanger, Mary Betty Myers of Florence, Jo Ann Cheesman of Ryland Heights, Wilma LaBare of Erlanger and Grace Abner of Williamstown; a sister, Lucreta Whitacre of Morrow, Ohio; 66 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Dutch Rolfsen, 86, of Ludlow, died Friday at his home.

He was a retired serviceman with Kenton County Water Works and chief of the Ludlow Auxiliary Police. He was a member of White Oak Club in Ludlow and Crusaders of St. Elizabeth Medical Center, and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Rolfsen; sons, Douglas Rolfsen of Clayborn County, Tenn., and Gary Rolfsen of Ludlow; a daughter, Carol Beutel of Erlanger; eight grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the Funeral home. Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell.

Rufus B. West, 92, of Latonia, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday at Rosedale Manor in Latonia.

He was a retired installer with Western Electric Co., and a member of Swanpond Baptist Church, Barbourville, and Telephone Pioneers of America. His wife, Nancy Marguerite West, died in 1989.

Survivors include sons, Larry C. West of Lakeside Park and Robert B. West of Crestview Hills; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling arrangements.

Edward T. Williams, 94, of Fort Thomas, died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.

He was a retired employee with the U.S. Post Office in downtown Cincinnati.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Gehrich Williams; a son, Donald J. Williams of Bloomington, Ind.; a sister, Edna Williams of Cincinnati; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Cincinnati.

Loray Williamson, 87, of Edgewood, died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.

She was a retired teacher in Kenton County and a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Lakeside Park.

Survivors include her husband, Grover V. Williamson; a son, Joel V. Williamson of Chicago; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashland.

Robert Burg, friend to all

Robert W. Burg Sr. was an easy-going person who would do anything for a friend.

"He was just there. If you asked him something, he would do it," said his daughter, Vickie Sensel of Bridgetown, Ohio.

"He would do anything for anybody and not expect anything for it," said his son, Robert W. Burg Jr. of Fort Mitchell.

That was especially true if someone needed transportation. He often took friends to doctors.

Mr. Burg, 67, of Covington, died at 11:01 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington.

He was a forklift operator with Square D Electric Manufacturing Co., where he worked for 30 years. He was also a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.

When he was younger, he enjoyed bowling, boxing and baseball. In his later years, he and his son went on vacations together.

He was young at heart, full of pep and fun to be around, said his daughter.

"He always wanted to be involved . . . and he was always telling jokes. He just made you laugh a lot," she said.

Last Christmas, he had his loved ones in stitches dancing to "Johnny B. Goode," his favorite song, Ms. Sensel said.

He was devoted to his children and grandchildren, Ms. Sensel said.

His granddaughter, Jenny, played basketball, soccer and volleyball, and Mr. Burg went to most of her games.

"She was special to him," Ms. Sensel said.

Other survivors include a sister, Shirley Taylor of Cincinnati; and two other grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

Julian Claypoole, 79, of Mount Olivet, died Friday at his home. He was a retired construction worker with N.U. State Paving, Hardrive Paving and Lemons Brothers Trucking companies, and was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.
