Philip N. Carlyle

Philip Noland Carlyle, 53, of Bowling Green died at 6:09 p.m. Jan. 8, 2001, at The Medical Center.

The Bowling Green native was a supervisor for Minit Mart Foods and attended Faith United Methodist Church.

He was a son of the late Gerald “Jeff” Carlyle and Eleanor Noland Carlyle of Bowling Green, who survives.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral home.

Other survivors include his wife, Donna Coleman Carlyle; a son, Jeffrey Carlyle of Bowling Green; a daughter, Alison Carlyle of Bowling Green; three sisters, Pam Schell and Sherry Basil, both of Bowling Green, and Cinda Carlyle of Atlanta; a brother, Tommie Carlyle of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.

Jennie S. Ewald

RUSSELLVILLE — Jennie Stonecipher Ewald, 46, of Russellville died Jan. 4, 2001, at her home.

The Oneida, Tenn., native was a graduate of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn., and University of Cincinnati; a school psychologist in Ohio and Kentucky, including Russellville schools; past president of Kentucky Association of Psychologists in the Schools; and a past winner of the Kentucky Association of Psychologist in the Schools’ Best Practices Award.

She was a daughter of the late Harry Sheldon Stonecipher and Jennie Mae Settles Stonecipher of Oneida, who survives.

Funeral will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Temple, where she was a member, with graveside service at 3:30 p.m. EST Sunday in Carson Memorial Park in Oneida.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church and at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Oneida.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to United Methodist Temple in Russellville or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas 75265.

Other survivors include her husband, Rich Ewald; a sister, Jan Waterman of Pensacola, Fla.; three brothers, Harry Curtis Stonecipher of Seattle, Ron Stonecipher of Kingsport, Tenn., and Joe Stonecipher of Jacksonville, Fla; and several nieces and nephews.

Gordon E. Garner

Gordon Earl Garner, 79, of Bowling Green died at 2 p.m. Jan. 5, 2001, at his home.

Funeral arrangements, which are incomplete, are under the direction of J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel.

Randall Ashlock

ELIZABETHTOWN — Funeral for Randall Ashlock, 71, of Elizabethtown, who died Jan. 4, 2001, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. EST Sunday at Brown Funeral Home with burial in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and after noon Sunday at the Funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Lung Association or to American Heart Association.

Survivors include a daughter, Gay Pannell of Bowling Green.

Rose B. Beckham

Rose Beverly Beckham, 72, of Smiths Grove died at 5:25 p.m. Feb. 7, 2002, at a Bowling Green nursing home.

Funeral arrangements, which are incomplete, are under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel.

William Adamson

BROWNSVILLE — William Adamson, 79, of Dahlonega, Ga., died Oct. 11, 1999, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga.

The Warren County native was a World War II Army veteran and a retired roofing contractor.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Antioch General Baptist Church Cemetery in Peonia. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at Patton Funeral Home.

Survivors include three sons, Eldon Adamson of Canton, N.C., Steven Adamson of Dahlonega, and Jerry Elmore of Dunnellen, Fla.; two daughters, Joyce Cline of Tipton, Ind., and Darlene Hewgley of Louisville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

David P. Caudill

FRANKLIN — David Paul Caudill, 83, of Franklin died Nov. 2, 1999, at Franklin-Simpson Memorial Hospital.

The Simpson County native was a retired farmer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Franklin Church of Christ.

He was a son of the late James Marvin Caudill and Lillie Warvin Caudill.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Crafton Funeral Home with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at the Funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Grace Caudill; two sons, Roger David Caudill of Franklin and Dennis Ross Caudill of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Evelyn Vaughn of Franklin; two brothers, Bennett Caudill of Auburn and George Caudill of Franklin; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Louie J. Cooksey

SCOTTSVILLE — Louie J. Cooksey, 84, of Hartville, Ohio, died Nov. 1, 1999, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.

The Bowling Green native was a truck mechanic and woodworker.

He was a son of the late Grover Cleveland Cooksey and Florence Heffinghton Cooksey.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Mount Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Beller Cooksey; a daughter, Darlena Weaver of Scottsville; two sons, Dennis Cooksey and Darrell Cooksey, both of Hartville; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Doyle infants

BROWNSVILLE — Kyle Bradford Doyle and Kaleb Ray Doyle, twin infant sons of Kendall and Janel Doyle of Bowling Green, died Oct. 31, 1999, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Graveside service was Tuesday at Lambert Cemetery in Cedar Spring. Patton Funeral Home was in charge or arrangements.

Other survivors include grandparents and stepgrandparents, J.B. and Wanda Doyle of Park City, C.D. and Debbie Leonard of Bowling Green, and Larry and Teresa Douglas of Bowling Green; and great-grandparents, Ray and Alice Bratcher of Bowling Green.

Jimmy R. Rippy

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. — Jimmy Ray Rippy, 62, of Springfield, formerly of Scottsville, Kentucky, died Nov. 2, 1999, at North Crest Medical Center.

He was the longtime companion of Vera Whiting of Springfield, who survives.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home, Oakhurst chapel.

Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the Funeral home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Julie Lynn Rippy of Hendersonville; and three sisters, Shirley Devers and Barbara Petty, both of Scottsville, and Dorothy Hardcastle of Rockford, Ill.

Ray S. Russ

Ray S. Russ, 83, of Bowling Green died at 3:25 a.m. Nov. 3, 1999, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

The Warren County native was a World War II veteran, a retired Kentucky Highway Department employee and a Baptist.

He was a son of the late Edgar Russ and Mattie Sharer Russ.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Snell Russ; a son, Donald R. Russ of Bowling Green; a sister, Roxie Lee Johnson of Covington, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn R. Moore

FRANKLIN — Marilyn Rachel Moore, 49, of Franklin died at 5:35 p.m. Nov. 9, 1999, at The Medical Center.

The Simpson County native attended Trinity Baptist Church.

She was a daughter of the late Henry “Cap” Byrum and Rebecca Jones Byrum.

Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Sulphur Spring Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the Funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Matthews of Bowling Green; three brothers, Wayne Byrum and Lawrence Byrum, both of Franklin, and Russell Byrum of Mitchellville, Tenn.; a sister, Barbara Johnson of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren.
