Spencer Hodge, 89

Spencer Hodge, 89, of Bell Avenue in Campbellsville, died on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004.

Son of the late Ira and Hattie Caudill Hodge, he was a retired electrician from Fruit of the Loom.

Survivors include three daughters, Gail Pierce of Greensburg, Ky., Marquitta Oswald of Crab Orchard, Ky., and Dorothy Daley of Georgetown, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service was Saturday, Jan. 1 at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church in Campbellsville. The Rev. Gary Ervin officiated.

Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lemuel Harry Lobb, 87

Lemuel Harry Lobb, 87, of Green County, Ky., died on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Son of the late Leslie Harry Lobb and Maude Jones Lobb, he was born in Green County on Sept. 1, 1977. He was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church and was a carpenter and farmer.

He married Velma "Punch" Wright on Dec. 22, 1936. She preceded him in death on Nov. 4, 2002.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dean and Clayton Garrison of Exie, Ky., and Sharon and Daryl Berry of Bardstown, Ky.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Twyman and Polly Lobb of Greensburg, Ky., Dennis and Regina Lobb of Junction City, Ky., and Jimmie and Paulette Lobb of Edmonton, Ky.; four sisters, Ila Judd, Maxine Judd and Lorene Jewell, all of Greensburg, and Anna Lou Addington of California; one brother, Ralph Lobb of Magnolia, Ky.; nine grandchildren, DeWayne Garrison, Shelia Post, Tammy Hickerson, Darlene Wright, Anita Lobb, Jaclyn Sluder, Jonathon Lobb, Sharyl Burns and Stacey Berry; and 10 great-grandchildren, Anthony Garrison, Zachary Hickerson, Ezra Hickerson, Laura Wright, Jason Wright, Mercedese Moran, Rion Alley, Kamryn Russell, Adrien Lobb and DeAnna Burns.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Elwood Lobb in 1963; and six brothers and sisters, Robert R. Lobb, Ping Lobb, Elsie Jane Sickles, Nellie Milby, Pelmon Edwards and Boyce Edwards.

Funeral was Thursday, Dec. 30 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery.

Pallbearers were Danny Judd, Bill Lobb, Darrell Parnell, Mann Jones, The Rev. Leslie Jewell, Gerald Vincent and Wayne Edwards.

Arlene Bale Perry Neal, 77

Arlene Bale Perry Neal, 77, of Lexington, Ky., died on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington.

Daughter of the late Raymond L. Bale and Audrey Scott Bale, she was born near Magnolia, Ky. on April 4, 1927. She owned several businesses during her life, including a beauty salon and a trucking company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Lioness Club and a Barker Fellow of University of Kentucky.

She married Thomas Perry on April 8, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1985. She married Milton Neal on March 12, 2001. He survives.

Survivors also include two sons, John Perry of Nashville, Tenn., and Scott Perry of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Charles Thomas Perry, Keenan Smith Perry, Meredith Scott Perry and Olivia Alexandra Perry; one aunt, Ruby Bale of Magnolia; and one sister-in-law, Juanita Wells of Campbellsville.

Funeral was Friday, Jan. 7 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Rev. Robert Baker officiated. Burial was in Greensburg cemetery.

Pallbearers were Milton Neal, Keenan Perry, John Perry, Charles Perry, Scott Perry and Larry Wells.

Mary Josaleen 'Jo' Osborne, 72

Mary Josaleen "Jo" Osborne, 72, of Shady Lane in Campbellsville died at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Hubert Adams and Nancy Hardwick Cox, she was born in Casey County, Ky., on Sept. 19, 1932. She was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church, the Edwards O'Banion Post 82 Auxiliary and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

She was married to Kenneth Osborne on April 14, 1954. He preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2002.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James Barry and Malicia Lynn Osborne of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Misty Roller of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Roller and Kendall Roller, both of Campbellsville; four sisters, Hallie Ratcliff and Geraldine Parrish, both of Campbellsville, Goldie Smith of Mannsville and Thelma Boren of Finley, Ohio; two brothers, Wendall Cox of Campbellsville and Keith Cox of Casey Creek; four special neighbors, Andrea Smith, Mina Phillips, Karen Smith and Diane Evans.

Funeral was Friday, Dec. 31 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Jim Durham officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Gary Cox, Robbie Gray, Steve Gray, Joey Green, Clifford Krider and Darrell Leclear.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Edwards O'Banion Post 82 Auxiliary.

Beulah Quinn, 72

Beulah Quinn, 72, of Jackson Tower in Campbellsville, died at 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Newt Bennett and Rhoda Hunt Bennett, she was born in Taylor County on May 8, 1932. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was employed at Fruit of the Loom for 21 years.

She was married to Ivan Quinn on Nov. 8, 1952. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1993.

Survivors include two sisters, Opal Wright of Campbellsville and Shelby Moore of Greensburg, Ky.; one half-sister, Mae Bell of Campbellsville; 10 nieces and nephews, Connie Stiles, Tommy Knopp, Sammie Knopp, Jeff Wright, Kathy Janes, Terry Knopp, Cindy Gabehart, Pam Compton, Troy Moore and Sue Ann Wheatley; and one special cousin, Lawrence Hunt of Campbellsville.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Knopp on March 6, 1990.

Funeral was Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Wayne Brooks and Ron Ferree officiated. Burial was in Brookside cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tony Gabehart, Sammie Knopp, Terry Knopp, Troy Moore, Barry Wheatley and Jeff Wright.

Honorary pallbearers were residents of Jackson Tower and the ladies of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Nancy Carol Underwood, 62

Nancy Carol Underwood, 62, of Green County, Ky., died on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

Daughter of Dee Mildred Pierce Weible of Greensburg and the late Robert Homer Druin, she was born in Green County on Jan. 29, 1942. She was a member of Sand Lick Separate Baptist Church and was a certified nursing assistant - working at Green Hill Manor from April 14, 1976 to Nov. 20, 2004.

Survivors also include one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Michelle Underwood of London, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Cody Underwood and Stephanie Cox, both of London.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ray "Buster" Druin.

Funeral was Friday, Dec. 31 at Sand Lick Separate Baptist Church. Bro. Kenny Kimbler officiated. Burial was in Hodges Chapel cemetery.

Pallbearers were Larry Handy, Mike Darnell, Terry Bishop, Kenny Darnell, Bud Price and Keith Whitlow.

Lloyd Clifton 'Buck' Carter, 65

Lloyd Clifton "Buck" Carter, 65, of Hickory Grove Road in Campbellsville died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at his home after a tractor accident.

Son of the late Glenn and Maurine Carter, he was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Jamestown, Ky., and was a farmer.

He was married to Dean Carter, who survives.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clifton and Kim Carter of Campbellsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary York of Campbellsville; six grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Carter of Campbellsville, Garnett Carter and Weldon Carter, both of Louisville, Ky.; and two sisters, Linda Cundiff and Christine DeWeese, both of Campbellsville.

Funeral was Friday, April 7 at Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Al Hardy and Odell Beauchamp officiated. Burial was in Wilson cemetery in Green County, Ky.

Pallbearers were Juston Hash, Aaron Stillwell, C.J. Hedgespeth, Chris Durham, John Brockman, Alan Jeffries, Jason Smith, Dustin Carter, Dusty Long and Jonathan Fulks.

Earl Fawcett, 86

Earl Fawcett, 86, of Jan Street in Campbellsville died at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, in Glasgow, Ky.

Son of the late Robert Earl Fawcett and Rosa Wilson Fawcett, he was born in Taylor County on Dec. 15, 1919. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church, a farmer and carpenter and worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Theater Ribbon with five bronze stars and the Good Conduct Ribbon.

He was married to Hazel Jeffries on Feb. 21, 1947. She survives.

Survivors also include a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Karen Fawcett of Campbellsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Ray Norris of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Lori Morel, Debbie White and Chad Fawcett, all of Glasgow, Connie AlRodan of Kuwait and Lynde Fawcett of Campbellsville; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Fawcett and Charles Fawcett, both of Campbellsville; and three sisters, Barbara Jean Bault of Campbellsville, Hazel Cusma of Akron, Ohio and Faye Syler of Elizabethtown, Ky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Hunt and Melba Blakeman.

Funeral was Wednesday, April 12 at Palestine Baptist Church in Campbellsville. The Revs. Danny Pace and Ray Woodie officiated. Burial was in Palestine Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Honor Guard.

Pallbearers were Kim Bailey, Jimmy Bault, Conrad Claycomb, Howard Martin, Daniel Morel, Ray Norris and Greg Tungate.

Honorary pallbearers were the Men's Sunday school class of Palestine Baptist Church and Rhodem Skaggs.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of the arrangements.

Kathleen Gladys Henderson, 80

Kathleen Gladys Henderson, 80, of Green County, Ky., died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at her daughter's home in Springfield, Ky.

Daughter of the late Ellis Davenport and Lillie Price Davenport, she was born in Green County on Dec. 13, 1925. She was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church and attended Living Word Faith Center. She was a retired nurse's aid at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital and a member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as a past secretary.

She was married to Orvil Lester Henderson on April 29, 1950. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1981.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Thomas Curry of Greensburg, Ky., Twyla and Brian Hoppes of Springfield and Angela and Bernie Gribbins of Campbellsville; a brother, Eugene Davenport of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a grandson, Rodney Henderson of Lexington, Ky.; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Henderson on July 8, 1981.

Funeral was Tuesday, April 11 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bro. Jerry Judd and the Rev. Carlos Compton officiated. Burial was in Davenport cemetery.

Pallbearers were Thomas Curry, Berry Gribbins, Brian Hoppes, Brian Burriss, Bernie Gribbins and Mike Judd.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Living Word Faith Center.

Minnie Price, 84

Minnie Price, 84, of Price Hill Road in Campbellsville died at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Greensburg, Ky.

Daughter of the late Robert Woodson Price and Caroline Shofner Price, she was born in LaRue County, Ky., on Aug. 22, 1921. She was a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church.

Survivors include several cousins who oversaw her care, Terry and Sheila Price, Brenda and Joe Marcum and Judy and Ken Leibee, all of Campbellsville, and Dorothy Hester of Louisville, Ky.

Funeral was Tuesday, April 11 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Jimmy York officiated. Burial was in Zion Separate Baptist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gary Brewer, Daniel Hester, Ken Leibee, Joe Marcum, Terry Price and Elbert Shofner.

Olive Bell Akin Bratcher, 90

Olive Hazel Bell Akin Bratcher, 90, of Louisville, Ky., died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville.

Daughter of the late Willie Creed "Bud" Bell and Lucy Hazel Bell, she was born in Green County, Ky., on Dec. 7, 1915. She was a retired aide at Norton Hospital in Louisville and was a homemaker.

She was married to Cecil Thomas Akin on July 7, 1935. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1950. She married Harry Raw in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1960. She later married Almer Bratcher on Dec. 9, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1982.

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Annabelle and William Earl Henderson of Summersville, Ky., Judith Marie Ferriell of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Jan Akin of Louisville; a brother, Herman Bell of Versailles, Ky.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Carley Ann Henderson.

Funeral was Saturday, April 15 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Shane Brown and Joel Crawford officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Earl Young Henderson, William Thomas Henderson, Jack Henderson, Larry Britton, John Henderson and Chuck Wise.

Delcie Humphrey, 67

Delcie Humphrey, 67, of Marrowbone, Ky., died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her home.

Daughter of the late D.S. and Beulah Ballard White, she was born in Cumberland County, Ky., on Nov. 11, 1938.

Survivors include four daughters, Teresa Humphrey and Joann Humphrey, both of Marrowbone, and Lisa Humphrey and Tammy Flowers, both of Burkesville, Ky.; a son, Michael Humphrey of Marrowbone; two brothers, Clavin White of Marrowbone and Ferry White of Burkesville; four sisters, Bertie Skaggs of Campbellsville, Grace Arms of Waterview, Ky., Ollie Huff of Glasgow, Ky., and Mildred Fletcher of Burkesville; 11 grandchildren, Crystal, Katharine, Tessia, Joseph, Dustin, Jason, Jeffrey, Casey, J.R., Christy and Justin; two great-grandchildren, Haley and Damian; and a special family friend, Joe Humphrey.

Funeral was Tuesday, April 18 at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville. The Rev. Carlos H. Coop officiated. Burial was in Marrowbone cemetery.
