Betty Jo Elkin Moore, 87 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at her residence.
The Warren County native was a daughter of the late Joseph H. Elkin and Elizabeth Clark Elkin Pruett, wife of the late J. B. Moore and preceded in death by one grandchild and two brothers and her step father James L. Pruett. She was co-owner of Moore’s IGA, an employee of Wal-mart and attended Unity General Baptist Church.
Her survivors include two sons, Dennis Moore (Pat) and Joel Moore (Tina); one daughter, Donna Gaddis (Clyde); six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Fairview cemetery #2. Visitation 4-8 Thursday at the funeral home.

Edith Dearing Baldock, 97 of Smiths Grove died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at her residence. Edith was known by many as BB.
The Barren County native was a daughter of the late Claud and Mattie Robison Dearing and wife of the late Clifton Baldock. Edith was a housewife, a seamstress for many people and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her daughter, Paulette Madison and husband Ronald; two grandchildren, Jeremy Madison and Jaren Madison and wife Angela; two great grandchildren, Chloe and Clay Madison; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove chapel with burial in Shiloh cemetery. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lynne Stevens Wade, 67 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at the Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Andrew Stevens and Jessie Glenn Stevens Lowe and wife of the late Jerry Wade.
She was a housewife.
Her survivors include her son, Chris Wade (Lee); two grandchildren, Allison and Shawn Wade; two sisters, Kathy Simmons Fackler (Brent), Michelle Hayes (Rick); three brothers, Bobby Stevens (Judith), Nick Stevens (Nancy) and Billy Lowe; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Wade and Dianna Wade.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with cremation to follow. Visitation 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mary Alice Brindle Smith, 98, of Smiths Grove, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 14, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. The Hardin County, Iowa native was born to the late Charles and Vesta Brindle on January 20, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bronvil M. Smith, son, Charles C. Smith, Sister, Margaret Brindle, and brothers, George and Chester Brindle.
Mary Alice spent most of her life on the farm as a homemaker. She and her late husband owned and operated Smitty’s Café in Smiths Grove for a few years. She later worked as a caregiver for several families in Warren County until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a member of Martinsville Baptist Church.
She is survived by five children who include three sons, John Wayne Smith (LaDonna), Jimmy K. (Linda Wells) Smith and David B. Smith, all of Smiths Grove. Her two daughters are Betty S. Minton (Robert) of Bowling Green and Barbara “ Ossie” Brewer of Smyrna, Georgia. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Other survivors include a brother-in-law, Rev. Henry Smith (Dean) of Franklin, TN, and three sisters-in-law, Helen Thomas of Smiths Grove, Carol Smith of Oakland, and Imogene Norris (Bruce) of Portland, TN. A very special caregiver, Venus Bunch, also survives.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 am until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be in Smiths Grove cemetery.

Jane Morris Yokley, 75 of Smiths Grove died Sunday, Aug 7, 2016 at T J Samson Community Hospital with family at her side.
The Warren County native was a daughter of the late Walter W. Morris and Nell Carter Morris who survives. She is preceded by her first husband Robert Harlan and her son Casey Harlan. She was a housekeeper for Sky Rehab and a member of Lawrence Chapel Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her husband Ottis Yokley; her mother, Nell Morris; daughter, Mindy Shockley; stepson, Mike Yokley; six grandchildren, Cody Harlan, Seth Shockley, Harley Shockley, Tyler Cline, Todd Yokley, Erin Yokley; two great grandchildren; one sister, Dot Keown; several niece and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Fairview cemetery #1. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Thomas "Tommy" Coleman, 56 of Bowling Green died Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 at the Medical Center.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Carles Coleman and Bessie Mann Bledsoe who survives. He was a contractor.
His survivors include his son, Travis Coleman (Chelsea); a grandson, Colton Coleman; three brothers, Harold Coleman (Brenda), Charles Coleman, Charles Jr. Bledsoe (Andra); sister, Sandra Mann; Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Stallard Springs cemetery. Visitation 4-8 Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mary Meador Sarver, 86 of Smiths Grove died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 at Bowling Green Nursing & Rehab.
The Warren County native was a daughter of the late John and Leona Grant Cantrell and is preceded in death by a son Tommy Meador.
She was a homemaker.
Her survivors include 8 sons, Chester Meador, Teddy Meador, Chares Meador, Danny Joe Meador, Ernest Meador, David Meador, Wayne Meador, Jimmy Meador; four daughters, Sharon, Shelia, Janie and Pamela; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Whites Chapel cemetery. Visitation 5-8 Sunday at the funeral home.

Paula Lindsey Bates, 63 of Bowling Green died at her residence on Sept. 18, 2016.
The Harlan Co. Ky native was a daughter of the late Wilbur Lindsey and Lucille Warnell Lindsey who survives and is preceded by her husband Jack Bates. She was a CNA at the Medical Center and a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her mother Lucille Lindsey; two sister, Dona Lindsey and Gerri L. Carnes; two nephews, Scott W. Hocker and Jeremiah Johnson; several great nieces, nephews and cousins, one aunt, Anna Lawson.
Memorial service 5 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, visitation from 3-5 p.m. Tues. Burial at a later date at Brownsville City cemetery.

William R. Wolfe, 39 of Bowling Green died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 at his residence.
The Warren County native was a member of Dedicated Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucille Hazel and his uncle Roger Herald.
His survivors include his mother Nancy Herald Hall; two brothers David & Anthony Wolfe; his grandfather, Bobby Hazel, two nephews, Brandon & Logan Wolfe; one niece, Hope Wolfe; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hardy & Son Funeral Home for the funeral expense.

John R. Schmitz, 72 of Smiths Grove died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 at his residence.
The St. Louis, Missouri native was a son of the late Charles and Margaret Abernathy Schmitz and is preceded in death by a sister Judith Magourik. He was a General Motors employee, a member of the American Legion, UAW and an Army Veteran.
His survivors include his wife Carolyn Schmitz; three children, Brendon Schmitz (Angela), Jamie Collier (Brad), Jason “Jake” Schmitz (Elizabeth); five grandchildren Johnathon Lars Schmitz, Mercy Schmitz, Ashleigh White, Bryce Cazee, Benjamin Collier; one great granddaughter, Emma Schmitz; two brothers, Charles Schmitz (Rena) and Robert Schmitz; three sisters, Margaret Schmitz, Irene Payne, Joann Hyde (Larry); many nieces and nephews
Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove cemetery. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Saturday and 11-2 Sunday at the funeral home.

JoAnn Penders, 61 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 at the Medical Center.
The Warren County native was a homemaker and attended Northside Freewill Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her son, Cody Penders (Amanda); two grandchildren, Kenlee Penders (Michelle) and Connor Ray Penders; three sisters, Virginia Brown (David), Dianna Johnson (Robert), Kathy Gutherie, one brother, Vernon Elvis Hayes (Chiquita) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1 p.m. Friday at Northside Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Fairview cemetery #2. Visitation 11-1 Friday at the church. Arrangements by Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hardy & Son Funeral Home for funeral expense.

Donald Raymond “Don” Alexander, 61 of Elizabethtown died Wednesday August 24, 2016 at Baptist Health Louisville.
Don was born in Heidelburg, Germany to the late Donald Raymond and Elizabeth Dykehouse Alexander.
He was of the Baptist faith, a factory worker and a self- employed paralegal.
Don is survived by his wife Danette Dodson Alexander, a son Donald Raymond Alexander and his wife Melissa,
two grandchildren Donald Raymond Alexander and Samantha Alexander, and a brother Steven Alexander.
Services were private. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice in Don’s memory.
Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
