John Baker, 88, of Covington, died Thursday at Veterans Administration Nursing Home, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired laborer for Interlake Steel Co., Newport, and an Army veteran.

Survivors include a brother, Claude Baker of Erlanger, and a sister, Elaine Washington of Cincinnati.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Jones and Simpson Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright.

Mildred M. Beneking, 85, of Erlanger, died at 7:35 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a film inspector for M.G.M. Exchange, Cincinnati. She was a member of St. Henry Church, Elsmere, and was a member of the church's Altar Society.

Survivors include a brother, Ottie C. Beneking of Erlanger; and three nieces.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Henry Church, Elsmere. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are suggested in the form of Masses.

Walter Burke, 33, of Warsaw, died Friday at his home. He was a millworker for Gallatin Steel, Warsaw. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 41, Carrollton.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Mosgrove Burke; a daughter, Caitlyn Burke, at home; his mother, Ella Edwards of Vevay, Ind.; his stepfather, Jesse Edwards of Vevay, Ind; his stepmother, Patricia Jones of Patriot, Ind.; and sisters, Shirley McLamore of Tacoma, Wash., Mary Burke of Vevay, Ind., and Kay Hess of Rising Sun, Ind.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Carrollton IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton. Jean Katherine Beckwith Collins, 89, of Newport, died Wednesday at Clermont Nursing Home, Milford, Ohio. She was a retired assembler for Multi Color Printing Agency.

Survivors include a son, Earl Wood of Cincinnati; a brother, Frank Beckwith of Palmetto, Fla.; four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Stephen Cemetery chapel, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at the chapel. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

Josephine McCauley Colvin, 98, of Falmouth, died Friday at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home, Cynthiana.

Brenda C. Cropper, 48, of Mays Lick, died at 6 a.m. Friday at her home after an extended illness. She was a former bookkeeper at WFTM Radio in Maysville. She was a member of Shannon United Methodist Church. A daughter, Kristi Kay Cropper, died in infancy, and a son, Charles David Cropper, died in 1988.

Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Cropper.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shannon United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home, Mays Lick. Burial will be in Shannon Cemetery, Mason County. Memorials are suggested to Shannon Cemetery, c/o Dick Clary, 4065 Ky. 596, Mays Lick, 41055.

Martha Dalrymple, 100, of Villa Rica, Ga., formerly of Ft. Thomas, died at 8:31 p.m. Thursday at her home. She was a retired buyer for the shoe department at Pogue's department store. She was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Ft. Thomas, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher and department director. Her husband, James H. Dalrymple, died in 1952.

Survivors include sons, James Dalrymple of Villa Rica, Ga., and Wallace Dalrymple of St. Louis; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

James Howard Gibbons, 78, of Dayton, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Highlands of Ft. Thomas nursing home. He was a retired inspector of jet engines for General Electric Co., Evendale, Ohio.

Survivors include nieces, Linda Gibbons of West Chester, Ohio, Diana Gibbons of Cincinnati and Paula Goetz of Florence.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Church, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.

Camillus H. "Babe" Jansen, 87, of Covington, died Monday at the Cleveland Clinic. He was a retired assessor for the city of Covington and was manager/director of Covington City Employers Credit Union. He was a member of St. Augustine Church, Covington; Holy Name Society; South Hills Civic Club; Knights of Columbus Bishop Carroll Council No. 702; and Knights of Columbus Bishop Flaget Council No. 702. His wife, Marian Winkler Jansen, died in 1986.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lee Hartman of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; a son, David Joseph Jansen of Covington; sisters, Anna Ware and Pauline Eilers, both of Covington; brothers, Thomas Jansen of Butler and Billy Joe Jansen of Florence; and four grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Ethel Keeton, 78, of Crittenden, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Luchion C. Keeton, died in 1984.

Chris Kellar, 20, of Falmouth, died Thursday in a fire at his home. He was a welder for Cincinnati Ventilating Co. His daughters, Danielle Irene Kellar and Courtney Lee Kellar, also died in the fire.
