PRINCETON, Ky. — Flossie Cook, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at National Healthcare Nursing Home in Dawson Springs.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Cox of Princeton and Brenda Maloney of Caldwell County; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Her husband, R.B., died in 1984.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Cross Roads Church cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Charles Stevens

MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Charles E. Stevens, 82, of Hopkinsville formerly of Madisonville, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at the Covington Convalescent Center.

He had been a coal miner with the Island Creek Coal Co. Fies Mine and member of the United Mine Workers District 23.

He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the European Theater.

He was a member of the Madisonville First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Frances (Cartwright); a brother, Henry of Hopkinsville; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellow cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Randa McCully

SEBREE, Ky. — Randa Jones McCully, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home.

She had worked for 12 years at the Sebree Deposit Bank.

She was a member of the Sebree United Methodist Church, Webster County Homemakers and past president of the Professional Women’s Club in Dixon.

Surviving are a son, Steve of Louisville; a brother, John R. of Slaughters; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Pascal, died in 1992.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tompkins Funeral Home Sebree-Poole Chapel, with burial in Slaughters cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Marion Orendoff

MARION, Ky. — Marion Orendoff, 55, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at his home. Crittenden County is investigating the death.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Orendoff of Houston and Norma Jean Harris of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Michael Orendoff and Thomas Lee Easley, both of Marion, and Thomas John Orendoff of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Bonnie Turner of Marion, Annetta Guess of Paducah and Madaline Blythe and Linda Carlton, both of Evansville; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Boyd Funeral Chapel in Salem, with burial in White’s Chapel cemetery near Tolu.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 pm. today at the funeral home.

Judy Holt

STURGIS, Ky. — Judy A. Holt, 56, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, of pancreatitis at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

Surviving are her husband, Larry; a daughter, Beth Lacy of Providence; a stepdaughter, Allison Thweatt of Sturgis; a son, Greg Moore of Sturgis; a stepson, Larry E. Holt of Sturgis; her parents, George C. and Evelyn Henshaw of Sturgis; four sisters, Mary Lou Duncan, Ida Jo Dayberry and Rebecca Greenwell, all of Morganfield, and Kate Winders of Morganfield; two brothers, Bill Henshaw of Venice, Fla., and David Henshaw of Sturgis; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Union County, with burial in Pythian Ridge cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at St. Francis Borgia Parish Hall in Sturgis and from 8:30 a.m. to service time at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Trudy Boling

HAWESVILLE, Ky. — Trudy Young Boling, 88, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.

She retired from the Hancock County School System, after teaching for 38 years at the Hawesville Elementary and Hancock County Middle Schools.

She attended Western Kentucky Teachers College and graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College.

She was an active member of the Hawesville Baptist Church and Senior Citizens. She was a past member of Eastern Star 480.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Shelton of Owensboro; a son, John M. of Elizabethtown; and three grandchildren.

Her husband, John M. Sr., died in 1978 and a daughter, Jane Boling-Hamilton, in 1994.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hawesville Baptist Church, with burial in Cloverport cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.

Marvin Bell

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Marvin “Marion” Bell, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.

He was a coal miner and construction worker.

He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving on the USS Tennessee. He was a member of the Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Shannon Davis of Dawson Springs; two sons, Marvin of Fort Wayne and Gail of Grand Rivers; and a grandchild.

His wife, Anna Pauline, died in 1989.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Rosedale cemetery.

Donald Williams

MOUNT PLEASANT, Ind. — Donald Lee Williams, 70, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, from complications after heart surgery at Owensboro Mercy Health System.

He was a Perry County farmer.

He was an Army veteran, serving from 1953 to 1955.

He was a 1948 graduate of Oil Township High School and was a member of the Modern Woodman of America.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Anna (Hemingway); a daughter, Gail Williams of Palmyra; a son, Marty of Mount Pleasant; a brother, Nolan of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren, Jason, Wes and Devin Williams; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Huber Funeral Home Cannelton Chapel, with burial in St. Mary’s cemetery in Tell City.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way or Perry County Memorial Hospital Home Health.

James Kress

JASPER, Ind. — James E. Kress, 65, of Indianapolis, formerly of Jasper, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

He retired as a manager for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis.

Surviving are a daughter, Jamie Regan of Carmel; a brother, Father Robert Kress of Louisville; and two grandchildren, Hugh and Tricia Regan.

His wife, Patricia (Uebelhor), died in 1991.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine’s of Indianapolis or the Humane Society.

Lorraine Stinnett

BICKNELL, Ind. — Lorraine Stinnett, 74, of Sumner, formerly of Bicknell, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are two sons, Larry of Vincennes and Gregory of Saudi Arabia; a brother, Paul Barnes of Bicknell; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A son, Steve, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McClure Funeral Home, with burial in Bicknell Memorial cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

G. Winton Palmer

BICKNELL, Ind. — G. Winton Palmer 83, of Wheatland, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

He had been a farmer and had worked for the Farm Bureau.

He was a member of Wheatland Christian Church, Scottish Rite of Evansville, Knox County Farm Bureau and Soil Conservationist, District Livestock Producers and was a 50-year member of Monroe City Masonic Lodge.

He was a 1936 graduate of Wheatland High School.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Fern; a daughter, Alice Held of Freelandville; a son, Larry of rural Wheatland; a sister, Maxine Overbay of rural Wheatland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McClure Funeral Home, with burial in Bethel cemetery in Freelandville.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
