Sadie Oldham
DIXON - Sadie D. Oldham, 73, of Robertsville, Mo., formerly of Dixon, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at the home of her granddaughter, Londa Kreien-kamp, in Bloomfield, Ind., of cancer.
She retired as a quality control technician from Absorbent Cotton Co.
She was a graduate of Dixon High School.
She was a Baptist and member of the Ladies Lions Club of Pacific, Mo.
Also surviving are her husband, H.G.; a daughter, Brenda Barnett of Evansville; a brother, Thomas Nall of Clay; a grandson, Butch Clark; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Townsend Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery in Dixon.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Bloomington (Ind.) Hospital.
James Lamb
CLAY - James "Red" Lamb, 80, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Chris Marlene Lamb of Clay; a stepdaughter, Madee Wilton of St. Paul, Minn.; two sons, Carlos R. of Nortonville and John Mark of Providence; four stepsons, Robert Raley of Pittsburgh, Michael Raley of Irvine, Calif., and Patrick and Christopher Raley, both of Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Funeral Home in Providence, with burial in Dunn cemetery in Dawson Springs.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Dorrel Bodenhamer
PRINCETON - Dorrel Bodenhamer, 88, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Princeton Health Care Manor.
He had been a self-employed electrician.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Louise (Lane); a sister, Margaret Newcomb of Princeton; a brother, Jim of Durham, S.C.; and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rowland cemetery in Caldwell County.

Magline Hughes
STURGIS — Magline Hughes, 78, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at her home of cancer.
Surviving are six daughters, Gloria Linda King of Morganfield, Kathryn Diane Mills of Prospect, Conn., Winnie Lewis and Darlene “Penny” Johnson, both of Evansville, Sandra Weir of Providence and Cindy Smith of Waverly; three sons, Fred Jr. and Jerry, both of Sturgis and Dale of Morganfield; two sisters, Betty Garnett and Margaret Burks of Sturgis; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-granddhildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Fred, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Sturgis Baptist cemetery.

Norris Coffman
PROVIDENCE — Norris J. “Big Daddy” Coffman, 71, died Thursday, May 11, at Methodist Hospital in Morganfield.
He was the owner of Big Daddy’s IGA.
He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and honorary member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5484.
Surviving are a daughter, Dawn Farley of Providence; two sons, Phillip and Brett, both of Providence; a brother, C. Morris of Madisonville; and a grandson, Adam Coffman.
His wife, Dorothy, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Funeral Home, with burial in Lisman cemetery.

Annie Payton
NEBO — Annie Morrow Payton, 99, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, in Columbia, S.C.
She was a member of Rose Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nebo.
Surviving are a daughter, Ogreta Arnold of Bradenton, Fla.; a son, James W. of Columbia; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, James Quinton, died in 1984.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Union cemetery. There will be no visitation at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home.
Patsy Boyd
HENDERSON — Patsy A. Boyd, 65, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Haynes; two daughters, Anna Sue Moore of Evansville and Donna Marie Sibling of Henderson; five sons, Jerry, Danny and Tony Carter, all of Evansville, and Derrick and Chad Haynes, both of Henderson; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
W.J. Waggener
MORGANFIELD — W.J. Waggener, 80, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
He was a 30-year Navy veteran, serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife, Evelene; four daughters, Mary Wilson of Irving, Texas, Teri Bartlet and Diane Stephens, both of Paducah, and Kelly Purgeason of Henderson; seven sons, Jerry Waggener of Morganfield, William J. Waggener III of Kissimmee, Fla., Thomas Waggener of Henderson, Scott Waggener of Corydon, Greg Brindley of Virginia Beach, Va., Tim Brindley of Santee, Calif., and Mark Brindley of Slidell, La.; a brother, James Robert Waller of Morganfield; 22 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Whitsell Funeral Home Morganfield Chapel, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Charles Gatton Sr.
BREMEN — Charles W. Gatton Sr., 83, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
He taught vocational agriculture for five years and also provided veteran’s training. He was a farmer, working on the family farm in Bremen which has been in the Gatton family for more than 100 years, and was awarded the Progressive Farmer Award for his work on the farm.
He was the founder of Fathers’ Country Hams of Bremen and won several champion awards for his country hams.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the fund-raising committee for the new activity center.
He was a member of the Muhlenberg County School Board for 22 years, where he helped in consolidating seven high schools into Muhlenberg North and South high schools, and had served as the chairman of the school board for several years. He was also chairman of the board of Sacramento Deposit Bank, a member of the Scoville Society, a life member of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Alumni Association, a member of the Bremen Lions Club and a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Lorene (Carr); two daughters, Suzanne Gatton of Owensboro and Charlotte Gatton Cobun of Morgantown, W.Va.; a son, Charles Jr. of Bremen; a sister, Marie Gatton Luysterburg of Sarasota, Fla.; a stepsister, Mary Ellen Hunter of South Carrollton; a brother, C.M. “Bill” of Kingsport, Tenn.; a stepbrother, Jo Mac Ferguson of Louisville; and three grandchildren, Christen and Brent Gatton and Cord Cobun.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bremen, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Gatton Scholarship Fund at Muhlenberg North High School through Sacramento Deposit Bank.
Olene Mackey
CALHOUN — Olene Walker Mackey, 93, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Owensboro Mercy Health System in Owensboro.
She was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church and enjoyed farming.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Leroy Joseph, died in 1992.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel, with burial in Boston cemetery in McLean County.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
