Funeral services will be Sunday 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial in the Salyer cemetery, Rt. 689, Flat Gap. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Satursday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.

Thelma Jewell Delong, 82, of Richmond, Ky, formerly of Johnson County, died Friday. She is a retired Johnson County Elementary Teacher. She is survived by 1 son, P.R. Delong; 1 daugther, Nancy Lamb; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home, with burial in the Ted Delong cemetery, Hager Hill, Ky. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Saturday 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund by contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home at 606-789-5125.

She is survived by 4 sons, Gary and Keith Johnson, Jerry and James McKenzie; 2 daughters, Lorita Sublett and Susan Fairchild; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jesse and Cozy Salyer; and 2 sisters, Lula Gay Saylers and Moncie Vickers. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial in the Highland Memorial cemetery, Staffordsville. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Wednesday 12 noon to 9 p.m., and Thursday 9 a.m until time of service

She is survived by 2 daughters, 1 son, 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters. A memorial service will be held at the Southside Freewill Baptist Church Friday at 11:30 a.m. with visitation prior to the service at 10 a.m.
