William G. "Bill" Bailey
William G. "Bill" Bailey, 88, formerly of Paintsville, died November 24, 2010 in Lexington, Ky. He was born July 28, 1922, at Salyersville, Ky. to the late Warrick and Suda Dixon Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Walker Clay Bailey April 3, 2008. He is survived by his Son: Clay "Joyce" Bailey, Tampa, FL; Daughter: Nancye Thompson, Lexington, Ky.: Granddaughters: 3; Great-Grandsons: 2. He was a WWII Navy Pilot. He retired from Citizens National Bank as an Executive Vice-President. Funeral Service at First United Methodist Church, Main Street, Paintsville on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 1 :00 P.M.. Kenneth Williams
Kenneth Williams, 92, of Paintsville died December 5, 2010. He was born May 24, 1918, at Oil Springs, Ky. to the late C.J. and Lula Colvin Williams. He was preceded in death Oct. 11, 2005, by his wife, Mary Pauline Williams. He is survived by his 2 Sons: Gary Williams, San Francisco, CA & Kenneth and Peggy Williams, Jr., Ashland, Ky.; Daughter: Paula Williams, Bowling Green, Ky.; Grandchildren: 3; Great-Grandchildren: 6. Ken was a veteran of WWII having served his country in the US Navy. He was Johnson County Circuit Court clerk for 30 years prior to retirement and was a former President of the Kentucky Clerks Association. He was active in politics and was selected as a Kentucky Delegate to the 1968 Republican National Convention. He was an original member of the Kentucky Apple Festive of Johnson County and a life-long member of Kiwanis and was the recipient of the Citizen of the Century Award from the Paintsville Service clubs.
