Wagner, Laura Gambrel

PINEVILLE - Laura Wagner passed away Friday, March 9, 2007, at Britthaven of Pineville.

Born April 22, 1928, in Knox County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Henee Gambrel and Margaret Gambrel. She was a member of Green Camp Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Wagner; two daughters, two grandchildren, brothers and sisters; and a stepson, Dan Jr.

Survivors include eight sons, stepson Jack Wagner, Alabama, Darrell (Wilma) Wagner, Harrogate, Tenn., Earl (Arvedene) Wagner, Harrogate, Curtis (Mary) Wagner, Pineville, Roy (Carolyn) Wagner, Pineville, J.D. (Lynn) Wagner, Pineville, Jerry (Lana) Wagner, Pineville, and Michael (Marlene) Wagner, Arjay; step-daughter Phyllis Jones, London, Ky.; daughters, Doris (Fred) Moore, Rella, Miss., Joyce (George) Bushelman, Winchester, Ohio, and Dana Wagner, Pineville; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home with the Revs. Gary Wagner, Melvin Beverly and Van Johnson presiding.

Interment will be in Greenhills Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Steve Morgan. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, which is in charge of arrangements.

Warren, Dora Bailey

PINEVILLE - After several months battling cancer, Dora Warren went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.

Born Nov. 14, 1928, to late Pete and Ada Mills Bailey, she was a lifelong resident of Bell County.

She had accepted Jesus as her savior.

A loving wife, mother, homemaker, and friend, she will be sadly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Warren; baby son, Walter Warren; sister and brother-in law, Creasie and Taylor Mills; brothers Raymond Bailey; Walter Bailey, John Bailey and wife Elsie.

She is survived by six sons, David (Jeannie) Warren, Calvin, Larry (Dinah) Warren, Barbourville, Ky., Doug (Teresa) Warren, Middlesboro, Steve (Emmy) Warren, Las Vegas, NV, Mike (Connie) Warren, Kingsport, Tenn., Scott (Shannon) Warren, Middlesboro, two daughters, Betty Sue (Jerry) Edds, Kingsport, Tenn., and Elizabeth (Joseph, Sr.) Denny, Harrogate, Tenn.; ex-daughter in-law, Tina Wyker; grandchildren, Christy Taylor, Kevin "Bubby" (Jennifer) Warren, Joseph Denny Jr., Ethan (Nikki) Denny, Beau (Heather) Denny, Valerie Warren, Josh Warren, Dustin Warren, Brandon Warren, Chris Warren, Hannah Warren and Garrison Warren; step-granddaughter, Amber Brown; great-grandchildren, Logan Taylor, Ryan Warren, Alexandria Warren, Rachel Warren, Madison Denny, Ky.; brothers. Bill (Tamera) Bailey, Pineville, Ray (Virgie) Bailey, Arjay, Elbert (Janice) Bailey, Pineville; sisters-in-law, Bertie Bailey and Nina Bailey, Pineville; and her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews were all very dear to her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Creech Funeral Home with Ministers Dale Turner and J.J. Sherrill officiating. Music will be provided by her great niece, Erica Bailey.

Burial will follow in Green Hills cemetery, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Don Mills, Dan Bailey, John Bailey, Billy Terrell Bailey, Wade Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, Charles Bailey, Chester Bailey, Rodney Bailey, Matthew Bailey, Mitch Bailey, Darrell Bailey, Steve Bailey, and Terry Bailey.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.

Warren, John Henry

80, of Arjay, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Pineville Community Hospital.

He was born on April 17, 1926 the son of the late Osco Warren and Lula Taylor Warren Lawson.

He believed in the Holiness faith and had been a coal miner at Eastover Mining.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Danny Saylor, step-father, Doc Lawson, sister, Mollie Leger and brothers, Gordon, Lannie, Curtis, William Henry Lawson and George Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hazel Mae Smith Warren, children, Orville Warren, Wilma and Gene Saylor and Jewell and Matthew Cox; grandchildren, Brian Saylor, Georgia Kay Saylor, Jamie Saylor, Jody Saylor, Brittany Saylor and Melissa Cox; great-grandchildren, Angela Saylor, Alison Saylor, Jody Saylor, Jacob Saylor, Austin Cox and Madison Cox; brother, Warden Lawson of Florida and sisters, Helen Maise of Dayton, OH and Amanda Lynch of Lexington; special cousin, Gathel Kelly and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner, Mr.

Roy Wagner and Rev. Luther Collett.

Music will be by Julie Wagner, Rosemary Jones and Marlene Wagner.

Burial will be in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with grandsons and members of the church serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jai, Jay Steele, Grover Brock and Terrell Gibson.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 9 PM Sunday and all day Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.

Whitehead, Elmer

76, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Friday, November, 28, 2003 at his daughter's home.

He was born in High Splint, KY on January 5, 1927, son of the late Taylor and Catherine Caldwell Whitehead.

He had worked at Ritter Lumber Company and had owned and operated Whitehead Saw Mill at Stoney Fork.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Bonnie Lou Whitehead.

Survivors include his children, Wilma Whitehead and Leon Ogan of Arjay, Alice Caldwell of Pineville, Bernice Harris of Irvine, TX, Fred Whitehead of Stoney Fork, Janice and Wayne Whalen of Richmond, KY, Betty Whitehead Elrod of Hodgenville, KY, Taylor Whitehead of Grapevine, Texas and Ronnie Whitehead of Ingram, KY, former wife, Virgie Whitehead; twelve grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Fred Whitehead of Harrogate, Hurley Whitehead of Speedwell, Taylor Whitehead, Jr., of LaPorte, IN, Emmel Whitehead, John Whitehead, Rubin Whitehead, Oma Taylor, and Mary Ann Whitehead all of Stoney Fork and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Duncan and Rev. George Neal.

Burial was in the Whitehead cemetery at Bledsoe.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Whitehead Family.

Widener, Irene Marie

JENSON — Irene Marie Widener, 94, of Jenson, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Pineville Community Hospital.

She was born in Cannelburg, Ind., on September 3, 1913, the daughter of the late Rena Wilson and Frank Webber and she was raised by Gillis and Catherine Wilson.

She was a member of the Middlesboro Church of Christ and had been a clerk at Scott’s Store and Laundry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sanders and a great-grandson, Scott Widener.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Harold Widener, Sr. and Mary Gilbert Widener of Cincinnati, Howard Widener of Corbin, Billy E. and Iris Widener of Corbin, Louise and Hargis Jones of Frankfort, Charles and Vickie Widener of Monrovia, IN, Bobby and Linda Widener of Harrogate and John C. and Julie Widener of Frankfort; son-in-law, J.B. Sanders of Jenson; grandchildren, Harold Ray, Jr. and Kathie Widener, Kenneth Frank and Vicky Widener, Peggy and Doug Greer, Elizabeth and Jeff Maguet, Teresa and John Parton, Sherrie Sanders, Billy Widener, Jr., Lisa and Randy Jackson, Steve and Jenny Jones, Tina and Ryan Bryant, Donald Jones, Judy and Jan Astrouski, Tammy and Danny Lee, Mike and Terri Widener, Bill Roman, Shannon and Darrin Marley, Charles F., II and Kelly Widener, Danita and Chad Biliter, Robin and Shane Cox, John C. Widener, Jr., Christy Widener, Heather Powell and Bobby S. Widener; forty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Brother Dale Turner.

Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial cemetery, Pineville.

Pallbearers will be Harold Ray Widener, Jr., Kenneth Frank Widener, Billy Widener, Jr., Steve Jones, Donald Jones, Mike Widener, Charles F. Widener, Jr., John C. Widener, Jr. and Bobby S. Widener. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Steve Fugate, Sheriff Bruce Bennett, Harold McGeorge and Charles "Shorty" Widener.The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville. Wilder, Stephanie Michelle

DORTON BRANCH — Stephanie Michelle Wilder, 18, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, in Bell County.

Born June 9, 1989, in Bell County, she was the daughter of Carl and Terri Gray Wilder of Dorton Branch. She attended Bell County High School.

Preceding her in death were her cousins, Rachel Wilder, Stephen Hollingsworth, Jeffery "Holly" Hollingsworth, Hana Joy Webb, and Toby Muse.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Samantha Wilder and Tagora Wilder of Dorton Branch; grandparents, Ella Mae Wilder, Pineville, Charles Madon, Pineville, Sandra Gray, Georgia, and Larry Gray of New Mexico; special great-grandparents, Marie Wilder, Pineville, Levita McDoniell, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Terry Carnes, Mt. Vernon, Van Carnes, Ohio, Stacy Owens, Pineville, Cameron Gwynn, Georgia, Joy Montgomery, Pineville, and Linda and Marcus Lambert, Georgia; cousins, Jessica, Stacy, Tyler Carnes, Star Miranda, Joshua Carnes, Chris, Josh, Heather, Destiny Gwyann, Ashley, Jermie Brandon, Brittany Hollingsworth, Charlie, Aaron and Alcia Hollingsworth, William Fuson; great-cousins, Makayla Mackenzie Caldwell; special aunt, Valarie Muse; special friends, Fred Thomas, Shawna McCurray, Dustin Napier, Kevin Caldwell.

Burial will be in Hickory Flat cemetery at Dorton Branch.

Lillian Kathleen Williams

Lillian Kathleen Williams, 79, of London formerly of Bell County, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2003 in London.

She was born on October 25, 1923, daughter of the late George and Mary Simpson.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Bernstadt and had been a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers and sisters, Geraldine, Ed, Virgil, Larry, Harry and George Simpson.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Williams, son, Ronald G and Janice Gross, grandchildren, Kellie Eads, Jessica White, March White, great- grandchild, Damon White, brother, Harold and Opal Simpson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were Wednesday at the Bowling Funeral Home, London with Rev. Kenneth Felty and Rev. Jim Simpson.

Burial was in the Liberty cemetery at London. This obituary is a courtesy to the family by the Arnette & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.

Wilson, Flora Lefevers

ARJAY -- Flora Lefevers Wilson, 85, passed away Sunday, April 18, 1993, at Pineville Community Hospital.

She was born March 3, 1908, at Cary, a daughter of the late Wilce and Mary Goodman Lefevers. She believed in the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Jackson.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Whitaker, Arjay, Clyde D. Jackson, Kissimmee, Fla., and Ray Jackson; three daughters, Pauline Burns, Newport, Ky., Janitya Baker, Mason, Ohio, and Joyce Jones, Middlesboro; one sister, Edith Southern, Middlesboro; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Durham Funeral home with the Rev. William Body Bingham presiding. Burial will be in Pineville cemetery.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Durham Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

York, Alexis Amanda

MIDDLESBORO - Alexis Amanda York, Infant, passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Survivors include her parents, Chris and Jill York; brother, Christian York; grandmother, Von York; grandfather, Albert York; uncle, Brian York; aunt, Amber York; cousin, Tiffany York; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Johnson presiding. Interment will be in Martin cemetery, Middlesboro.

The family will receive friends from 12- p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.

York, Rose Lee

Columbus, Ga. - Baby Rose Lee York, 79, passed away Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at her home.

Born Feb. 22, 1927 in Middlesboro, she was the daughter of the late Albert Lee and Thedoshia Marsee Lee.

She was a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ted York; daughter, Rosetta Lee York; sister, Helen Jenkins; and brothers, Willard Lee and Harry Lee.

Survivors include her daughter, Georgie (Butch) Wheeler, Columbus, Ga.; sons, Johnny York, Albert York and Noble York, all of Middlesboro, and Sam (Connie) York of London, Ky.; grandchildren, Sam Sumpter Jr., Bryan York Jimmy York, Kristie Sumpter Niette, Dana Shaye York, John York III, Chris York, Jamie Wheeler, Misty Michelle York, and Brittany York; a host of great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Evans, Middlesboro; and two bothers, Albert Lee and Noble Lee, both of Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Boyd Bingham III presiding.

Music will be by Jimmy Jackson and Dickie Siler.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Middlesboro cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny, Albert, Noble and Sam York, Sam Sumpter Jr., and John York III.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan York, Chris York, Jamie Wheeler, and Jimmy York.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
