Florence F. Sturgil, 81, of Erlanger, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday at Franciscan Hospital Mt. Airy Campus, Cincinnati. She was a homemaker and a member of Erlanger Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Sturgil of Florence; daughters, Brenda Montague of Bethesda, Md., and Judith Sturgil of Grand Marais, Minn.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

"Visionary' Harry A. Berge, former mayor, 4-H advisor
Harry A. Berge, businessman, civic leader and agriculturalist who helped shape the Carrollton community, died Wednesday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital. He was 90.
Mr. Berge was an agent for the University of Kentucky Extension Service in the 1930s and 1940s. He was chairman of the Carroll County Fair for 10 years in the 1950s and 1960s and president of the Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows in 1958.
He retired in the 1970s after 25 years as manager of the Southern States Co-Op, and launched his retirement by being elected mayor of Carrollton, serving from 1974 through 1977.
"My father was a visionary," said his son, Fred Berge of Kansas City, Mo. "He could see what the needs would be and worked to make sure everything was in place to meet those needs."
In 1969, he was instrumental in having Carrollton selected as a potential site for a com munity college in the state. In the 1980s, his groundwork paid off when Jefferson Community College opened in Carrollton.
Mr. Berge helped organize and was first president of the Gallatin County Game and Fish Protective Association. He co-founded the Carrollton Little League program.
"He came from hard working people and he knew how to achieve consensus and establish goals," his son said.
During the 1937 flood, Mr. Berge worked around the clock helping with evacuation and flood relief. For years he worked with children in 4-H programs. Several years ago one of his "boys" - now in his 70s - ran into Mr. Berge at the gas station. "Dad still remembered him," Fred Berge said.
Fred Berge recalled his father teaching him how to pitch baseballs in the back yard and how to show prize cattle at the fair. But the greatest lessons Mr. Berge taught had to do with character.
"His word was his bond," Fred Berge said. "There was a fellow who farmed with him. They worked together for 45 yeas and never had any signed agreements. He operated off a handshake."
He was a past president of Carrollton Rotary, and the Port William Historical Society. He was a member of Carrollton United Methodist Church and Penn State Alumni Association and was past master of the Tadmor Lodge 108 Free and Accepted Masons in Warsaw.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Jo Elliston Berge; sons, Fred Berge of Kansas City and Jim Crutcher of Edgewater, Fla.; a daughter, Joan C. Tomlinson of Edgewater, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery.

James Ronald "Troubadour" Anglin, 65, of Walton, died at 2:20 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North Hospice, Covington.
He was a retired truck driver for PIE/Roadway (Local 100 Teamsters) and former owner of Ron's American Station, Richwood. He was a member of Beaver Lick Baptist Church, Union, Gold Rule Lodge No. 345, and a board member of the Walton Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Anglin of Walton; daughters, Peggy Anglin Brandenburg of Waco, Judy Anglin Taylor of Park Hills and Ronda Anglin Hendren of Florence; sons, David Anglin and Jimmy Anglin, both of Walton; a brother, Paul D. Anglin of Walton; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, with visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Richwood Presbyterian Cemetery.

Martha C. Carr, 53, of Covington, died at 2:04 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and the treasurer for the Holmes High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Carr; a son, Arthur Stroh; and daughters, Robin Stroh of Mt. Vernon and Melissa Carr of Latonia.

Trula Marie Egnew, 76, of Florence, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a retired waitress for Town and Country Restaurant, the former Lookout House restaurant and the Ft. Mitchell Country Club.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Egnew of Cincinnati; a daughter, Vicki Elkin of Erlanger; brothers, James Kenneth Jones of Erlanger and Grover Jones of Ft. Mitchell; a sister, Wanda Johnson of Covington; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mary Alice Heier, 97, of Warsaw, died Thursday at Gallatin County Health Care Center, Warsaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Warsaw United Methodist Church. Her first husband, Alva Dickerson, died in 1916, and her second husband, John Heier, died in 1962.
Survivors include sons, Harold Dickerson of Warsaw and Robert Dickerson of Sanders; daughters, Betty Samuel of Sparta and Elaine Lewis of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Winey Lee Henry, 61, of Carrollton, died Thursday at Vencor Hospital, Louisville. He was a retired area leader for Kawneer Company, Carrollton, and an Army veteran. Survivors include brothers, J. W. Henry, John Henry, Ralph Henry and Bobby Henry, all of Carrollton.

Mary Emaline Kramer, 64, of Southgate, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the home of her son, David Kramer, in Crestview Hills. She was a retired deputy county clerk for Campbell County, a member of St. Phillip Church in Melbourne, St. Therese Church in Southgate, the St. Therese Church choir and ECHO and was an associate member of the Sisters of Divine Providence.
Her husband, Frank Kramer, died in 1988, and a son, Paul Kramer, died in 1971. In addition to her son David, survivors include a daughter, Sister Kay Kramer, CDP, of Albuquerque, N.M.; sons, Frank Kramer of Latonia, Thomas Kramer of Independence and James Kramer of Southgate; her father, Howard Presser of Uniontown; brothers, Harold Presser of Golconda, Ill., Lawrence Presser of Cold Spring, Ronald Presser of Owensboro and David Presser of Morganfield; four grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.

Martha Malone, 74, of Erlanger, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her hus band, James Malone of Erlanger; daughters, Kathy Juergens of Cincinnati and Donna Houp of Erlanger; sons, James R. Malone of Florence, Kim Malone and Robert K. Helen Elizabeth Scheifers Martin, 76, of Villa Hills, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grandmothers Club.
Her husband, Robert Martin, died in 1994, and a daughter, Jeanne Ann Arnold, died earlier this year.
Survivors include sons, W. Edward Martin of Lakeside Park, John M. Martin of Covington, James Phillip Martin and Jeffrey L.
