Ruth Elizabeth Jones Litzinger, of Augusta, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. She was a homemaker. Daughters Kathy Mack and Sue Barrons preceded her in death.

Marguerite Meyer, 85, of Augusta, died Monday at Extenda Care in Augusta. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Christian Church, Foster. Her husband, Albert L. Meyer, died in 1975.

Keevil Clark Monson, 62, of Southgate, died Saturday at his home. He was a retired truck driver with Corral Construction Co., Wilder, and a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 100, Cincinnati.

Charles Riddell, 93, of Southgate, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired steel worker with Newport Roller Mill and a former deacon with Highland Avenue Baptist Tabernacle, Fort Thomas. A son, Charles Riddell II, died in 1997.

Rebecca L. Tranter, 51, of Edgewood, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at her home. She was a medical benefits manager with General Cable, Highland Heights, and a former human resources manager with St. Charles Care Center in Fort Wright.
She was a eucharistic minister with Blessed Sacrament Church in Fort Mitchell and Holy Spirit Church in Jamestown, where she also worked in the parish thrift store. Mrs. Tranter was a regular donor at the Hoxworth Blood Center.
Survivors include her husband, Robert T. Tranter; daughters, Debra L. Sroufe Perraut of Florence and Alice C. Albrinck of Burlington; her father and stepmother, Elbern and Shirley Freeman of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Judy Walsh of Cincinnati; and one grandson.

Robert Schletker, riverboat pilot, devoted to family, lure of Ohio
Robert Lee Schletker spent most of his life as a riverboat pilot in Northern Kentucky.
Although he retired in 1986, he never gave up his love for the Ohio River and would take occasional jobs supervising loading and unloading of barges.
But it was his work as a pilot that gave Mr. Schletker the most satisfaction.
'Once you get started on the river, it's hard to quit,' Mr. Schletker said in a 1988 Post interview. 'It's never monotonous. There's always something new every time you come around another bend.'
Mr. Schletker, 78, of Covington, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington.
Mr. Schletker began his career during World War II, when he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was stationed on the Greenbriar, a buoy tender on the Ohio River. Mr. Schletker piloted the landing-ship tanks that were used to ferry tanks and troops during the war.
After the war, Mr. Schletker became a pilot for several barge companies that pushed coal, grain and steel along the Ohio River.
In 1970, Mr. Schletker took a job for Valley Line Co. in Cincinnati as a supervisor in charge of repairs and maintenance. He retired after the company shut down its maintenance terminal in Cincinnati.
Mr. Schletker's father, Arthur Schletker, also was a riverboat pilot, known as 'Captain Red.'
Mr. Schletker's own work inspired two of his children - sons Robert L. Schletker Jr. of Richwood, a former port engineer in Cincinnati, and Steven Schletker of Villa Hills, an attorney who specializes in maritime law - to earn their livings in part from the mighty Ohio.
'He was the best man in the whole wide world,' said a daughter, Terri Neltner of Villa Hills.
'He loved his 12 grandchildren and he never met an enemy. He was endeared to every person that he met and he was soft-spoken. I don't think I ever heard him raise his voice or his hand to anybody.'
Mr. Schletker was a member of St. Augustine Church in Covington, Ludlow Veterans and the Cincinnati Propeller Club.
In addition to his daughter and sons, survivors include his wife, Roseanna Costa Schletker; daughters, Toni Bravo of Crescent Springs and Angel Keene, of Villa Hills; and 12 grandchildren.

Charles G. Fulks, 57, of Crittenden, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired gas serviceman with Cincinnati Gas & Electric, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Cincinnati. He was a member of Mid-South C. T. & Dressage Association, and a former member of United Steel Workers Local No. 12049, Cincinnati, and the Kentucky Dressage Association.
