Loretta Philpot Stewart, 74, of Dollie Miller Road, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born December 4, 1926, in Pendleton County, Kentucky, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in East Bernstadt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mae (Bowling) Philpot and William Philpot.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Stewart of East Bernstadt, Ky.; four daughters, Sally Fields, Kim Fields and Terri Jones, all of East Bernstadt, Ky., and Patti Lynn Nau of Berea, Ky.; two sons, Bill Stewart and Roger Stewart, both of London, Ky.; a sister, Ada Shell of Hamilton, Ohio; two brothers, Bert Philpot of East Bernstadt, Ky., and Virgil Philpot of Connersville, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Paul Edwin Stewart, Chad Stewart, Kristi Jones, Michael Jones, Travis Fields, Brad Fields, Chase Fields and Shaye Fields; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Stewart and Tyler Jones.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 8, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Jones, Terry Martin and Danny Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery.

Hobert Tincher
Teacher/tool and die maker
Hobert Tincher, 92, of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, died Wednesday morning, July 4, 2001, at the Woodland Village Nursing Center in Diamond Head, Mississippi.
He was born on March 10, 1909, in London, Kentucky, the son of the late James L. and Susan (Garland) Tincher.
On November 15, 1931, in London, Kentucky, he was united in marriage to Verna Owens. She preceded him in death on August 29, 1992.
He attended college and taught grade school in Langnau, Kentucky, for 14 years and then moved to Skokie, Illinois, and worked as a tool and die maker for AT&T in Chicago for 33 years, retiring in 1976. In 1977 he then moved to Twin Lakes. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Skokie, Illinois, the Union Park Masonic Lodge #610 in Chicago, the Moose Lodge, and he enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Tincher is survived by three daughters, Jessie Hubbard and husband Marshal of Twin Lakes, Wisc., Margarette Monestero and husband Philip of Park Ridge, Ill., and Carol Hindahl and husband Ronald of Pekin, Ill.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Tincher of London, Ky., and Hubert Tincher and wife Barbara of Bensenville, Ill.; and three sisters, Mattie Fiechter and husband John of London, Ky., Retta McKnight of Jacksboro, Tenn., and Gladys Lush of Clarkston, Ky.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald; two brothers, Roy and Calvin; and two sisters, Hazel Collier and Effie McKnight.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 6, at the Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, with Pastor James Kennedy and the Wilmont Masonic Lodge #214 officiating.
Interment was in the Memory gardens in Arlington Heights, Illinois, on Saturday morning, July 7.

Bertie McWhorter McDaniel Miller
Retired school teacher
Bertie McWhorter McDaniel Miller, 85, of Old Whitley Road, London, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
Born January 1, 1916, in London, Kentucky, she was a retired school teacher and member of the First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rhoda Elizabeth Moore and Henry McWhorter; and two husbands, Curtis McDaniel and William Everett Miller.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy McNulty of London, Ky.; two sons, Alan McDaniel of London, Ky., and Bruce McDaniel of Bowling Green, Ky.; a brother, Raymond McWhorter of East Bernstadt, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with Denvis Rush, Roy Virgil McWhorter and Jim Wheeler officiating. Burial followed in the McDaniel Cemetery at East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers were Mark McDaniel, Michael McNulty, John McNulty, Scott Wright, David Powell and Edward McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers were Gordon Ray McDaniel, James McDaniel, Doug McWhorter, Tyson Barnes, Virgil Onkst, John Eversole, Ted Eversole, David Kelley, George McNulty, and former students of Mrs. Miller.

Ada Marie Money

Ada Marie Money, 69, of Money Road, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London. She was the daughter of the late Bessie (Callahan) and George Osborne, and is survived by her husband, James Money, of East Bernstadt.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Money Cemetery at East Bernstadt.

Robert D. Lindy

Robert D. Lindy, 61, of Lake View Drive, Williamstown, Kentucky, formerly of Laurel County, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown. He was the son of the late Margaret (Yates) and Robert G. Lindy, and is survived by his wife, Donna (Reid) Lindy of Williamstown.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Ward Cemetery at London.

Hobert Simpson

Hobert Simpson, 79, of Pittsburg, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Martha and Boone Simpson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily, Kentucky.

Belinda Gail Brady
Belinda Gail Brady, 37, of Pleasure View Road, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London. She was the daughter of Margie Schell of London, Ky., and Jerry Hammons of Manchester, Ky., and the step-daughter of John Schell of London, Ky.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Old Salem Cemetery.

Homer Proffitt

Homer Proffitt, 79, of Sasser School Road, London, Kentucky, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at his residence. He was the son of the late Maudie (Bundy) and Verlin Proffitt, and is survived by his wife, Jewell (Overbey) Proffitt of London.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Rough Creek Cemetery.

Mildred Jane Onkst Fields

Mildred Jane Onkst Fields, 66, of DAV Lane, London, Kentucky, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at her residence.
Born May 12, 1935, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a retired beautician and retail merchant and a believer in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice Onkst and Maggie (Hammons) Onkst, and by her husband, Eugene Fields. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, William Roger Onkst and Bernard Elmond Onkst; and a sister, Ruth Onkst Justice.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Bell and Terry Benge and wife Doris, all of London, Ky.; one sister, Marceline Onkst Green of London, Ky.; four brothers, Jesse Onkst, Virgil Onkst and wife Dorothy, Vernon Onkst and wife Joyce, all of London, Ky., and Larry Onkst and wife Sheila of Lexington, Ky.; three grandchildren, Rhonda, Regina and Kevin; three great-grandchildren, Brody, Ashley and Haley; fiancee Charlie Turner of London, Ky.; and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 1, 2001, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with brother Bobby Helton officiating. Burial followed in the Fields Family Cemetery on Cassidy Road.
Pallbearers were Jesse Onkst, Virgil Onkst, Vernon Onkst, Larry Onkst, Gary Green and Kevin Gray. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Justice, Bert Fields, J.L. Fields, Manuel Fields, Mark Fields and Paul Fields.
