William G. Lockett, a retired cook, died March 2 at Chalmette Medical Center of congestive heart failure. He was 73. Mr. Lockett was born in White Castle and lived in New Orleans for the past 50 years. Survivors include a sister, Velma Williams of White Castle. A private service was held. Littlejohn's Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Florence Favaloro Kippers Cohen, a homemaker, died Tuesday at Chateau Living Center. She was 93. Mrs. Cohen was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 60 years. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 125 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, John E. Kippers Jr.; three stepsons, Harry, Perry and Gilbert Cohen; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said Thursday at 11 a.m. at L.A. Muhleisen & Son, 2607 Williams Blvd. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

James Brown Sr., a retired fire watcher for J.E. Merritt Co., died Monday of congestive heart failure at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was 60. Mr. Brown was born in New Orleans and lived in Marrero. He graduated from Lincoln High School. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Janice Carey Brown; four sons, Arnold, Aaron, Kevin and James Brown Jr.; a daughter, Faith Brown Kitchen; his mother, Bertha Alfred Harang; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 West Bank Expressway, Harvey. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Bright Star cemetery.

Adele Ann Barabino Martin, a homemaker, died Friday of kidney failure at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital. She was 69. Mrs. Martin was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include three sons, Leonard Louis Martin Jr., Darryl Joseph Martin Sr. and Gregory Peter Martin; three daughters, Debra Ann and Cynthia Ann Martin and Linda Maria Hawkins; a brother, Walter Barabino of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Antonia Jackson; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, 4712 Ray Ave. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Majestic Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Betty M. Kazmierczak, a day- care owner, died Saturday of cancer at her home. She was 60. Mrs. Kazmierczak was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for 16 years. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Kazmierczak Sr.; two daughters, Tammy Grimaldi Diaz and Samantha Grimaldi Harris; a brother, William Miller III; two sisters, Dianna Miller Hartenstein and Milda Miller France; and four grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. in Chalmette. Visitation will be at noon.

Jill Terri Harrigan, a nursing student at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, died Saturday of undetermined causes at Wesley Hospital. She was 21. Miss Harrigan was born in Metairie and lived in Hattiesburg. She was a parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune, Miss. Survivors include her mother, Christine Schuth Harrigan Stogner of Picayune; her father, Ronnie Stogner of Picayune; three brothers, Jeremy B., Cody A. and Jordan C. Stogner, all of Picayune; her grandfathers, Henry Schuth, Merlin W. Harrigan and Advell Stogner; and her grandmothers, Bernice Harrigan of Slidell, Delma Stogner of Picayune and Elsie Schuth. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune. Visitation will be today from 6 to 11 p.m., with a rosary said at 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home in Picayune. Burial will be in Saint Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette.

Charles Conrad Schott, vice president of Schott and Co. for 39 years, died Saturday of cancer at his home. He was 75. Mr. Schott was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Tulane University. He was an employee at Radiofone for 12 years. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Louis King of France where he was a commentator and Eucharistic minister. He received the St. Louis Medal. He was a 30-year member of Archbishop Community Appeal, former president of the Louisiana State University Livestock Show, Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader and member of Knights of Columbus. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Carol Artigue Schott; four sons, Andrew, Donald, Peter and Edward Schott; three daughters, Brenda Rodehoist, Paula Culpepper and Laurie Stauder; four brothers, Leo, Frederick, Vincent and the Rev. James Schott; two sisters, Jane Becker and JoAnn Scholes; and six grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at noon at St. Louis King of France, 1609 Carrollton Ave., Metairie. Visitation will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul No. 2.

Marilyn Bruns Lacy, a homemaker, died Friday of cancer at Memorial Medical Center. She was 54. Mrs. Lacy was born in Baton Rouge and lived in Covington for the past 10 years. She received a bachelor's degree in home economics from Louisiana State University. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Survivors include her husband, David L. Lacy; a daughter, Jennifer Ostendorf; her mother, Marie Aaron Bruns; a brother, Hank Bruns; and two sisters, Pam Kirby and Susan Quinn. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Louisiana 1085, Covington. Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be in Theodore Dendinger cemetery. E.J. Erica Michelle Grass, died Thursday of Reye's Syndrome at Chalmette Medical Center. She was 21. Miss Grass was born in Fort Knox, Ky., and lived in St. Bernard Parish for 21 years. Survivors include her father, Fredrick L. Grass; her mother, Joanna Tardo Grass; her grandfathers, Ernest L. Grass Sr. and Ronald S. Tardo; her grandmothers, Carolin Grass and Evelyn C. Tardo; and a sister, Lindsey Grass. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 815 Badger Drive in Arabi. Elizabeth V. Ford, a retired substitute teacher, died Tuesday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. She was 77. Mrs. Ford was born in Colleton County, S.C., and lived in New Orleans for the past 56 years. She attended Morris College and Southern University. Survivors include two sons, Oliver Ford Jr. and Joseph R. Ford; a daughter, Patsy F. Amos; three sisters, Alma Toumer of Philadelphia, Carrie Blanding of Sumter, S.C., and Ruth Lymas of St. George, S.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dolese was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 10 years. She was a custodian at Nicholls High School for 34 years. Survivors include two daughters, Charlene E. Conrad and Susan C. Fardella; two brothers, Donald Anthony and Larry Francis; a sister, Audrey Mary Hogue; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 1 p.m. at Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
