Cynthia " Cindy" Louise Bailey

Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Bailey was born in Festus, Missouri on April 17, 1963 and passed from this life on July 19, 2018 in Lake Charles, Louisiana after battling health issues.

Cindy attended Rosepine High School where she graduated in 1981. She married straight out of high school and became the Mother of 4 adoring children. Cindy was a friend to all and a stranger to none. Her kindness and selflessness in death were a testament to her life as proven by the number of people that gathered by her bedside during her passing.

Cindy was survived by her three daughters, Crystal Richmond (husband Scott Richmond) and Amanda Bailey, both of DeRidder, LA and Breanna Bailey of Crestview, FL; one son, Rodney Don Bailey Jr. of DeRidder, La; one sister, Karen Missey of Rosepine, LA; two brothers, Larry Miner of Rosepine, LA and William Meadows (Mindy Meadows) of Crystal City MO; special friend Georgia Bailey of Rosepine, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, grandchildren and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her mother, Norma Jean Bailey and step father, Tiny Bailey; grandparents, Earl and Nellie Meadows; and one grandson, Davin Rutherford.

Visitation and service will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.

Ira Lee Stewart

Surrounded by his family, Ira Lee Stewart, Jr., 49, of Pickering, LA, went to be with his Lord after succumbing to a chronic illness on July 19, 2018 in Shreveport, LA.

Ira Lee Stewart was born to parents Ira Lee Stewart, Sr., and Martha Sue Wilburn Tyndall on May 6, 1969 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He held a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. His talents and hard work were given to many areas of the Federal Government, his local community and to places he lived and visited.

Ira is survived by his daughter; father, Ira Lee Stewart, Sr. and Step-Dad, Henderson “Junior” Tyndall; sisters, Deborah [John] Singletary and Rebecca [Danny] Barrett; brother, Kenneth Stewart; nieces Sarah [Angelo] Marquez, Marley Singletary, and Santanna Kessler; nephews, Charlie Stewart and Jebediah Barrett; great-nieces, Triniti Lewis and Ayrenne Burkland; great-nephews, Owen Wisnoski and Roman Marquez; and an abundance of many more loving family members and loyal friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Martha Tyndall, and brothers, Louis Heitz, Marel and Daryl Stewart.

Ira enjoyed a full life surrounded by his family, an abundance of friends, faithful dogs, fishing, hunting, farming, gardening and reading. He was a number 1 and loyal fan of the University of South Carolina’s Gamecocks. Wherever Ira traveled, his light shone around him with love towards his fellowman never meeting a stranger and making lasting, loving relationships. He was confident in his knowledge of Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

In celebration of his life, there will be a memorial service held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on September 15, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Memorial donations/in lieu of flowers may be made to the organization/charity of your choice. Pastor Jerry Key will officiate.

You are sorely missed, dear brother. We will always carry your memory in our hearts and may we shine as brightly as you for knowing you.

Howard James "Mac" McDougal

Howard James “Mac” McDougal, 83, of Lexington, SC, passed from this life on, Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Mr. McDougal passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was born in Cleo Springs, OK on March 7, 1935 to the late William Charles McDougal and Motee Anderson McDougal. He proudly served his country and retired from the Army of the United States of America and was a Medic during the Korean and Vietnam conflict. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him and leaves behind a treasured legacy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Rhonda Isbell and Delbert of Merryville, LA and Malinda Sikes and Bob of Ruston, LA; step-son, David Fallaw and Gina of Red Bank, SC; three grandchildren, Allen and Daniel Isbell and Brian Long; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Isbell, Preston Isbell, Tyler Isbell, Haylee Isbell and Alyssa Isbell, Sierra Long and Savannah Long; three-step grandchildren, Dalton and Austin Fallaw and Brianna Bryers; and a special and dear friend, Ann Doyle of Lexington, SC.

He is preceded in death by his grandchild, Sabrina Long; parents, William Charles and Motte Anderson McDougal.

Graveside service and burial will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Cooper cemetery in Merryville, LA. Brother Delbert Isbell and Brother Wayne Squyres will officiate the service.

Voncile Looney Emanis

Voncile Looney Emanis, 79, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Doug Looney and wife Brenda of Camden, AR; daughter, Susan Slover and husband Carl of DeRidder, LA; and granddaughter, Alicia Slover-Miller and husband Brian of Little Rock, AR; and extended family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00-6:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, AR. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 23, 2018 also at Proctor Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park in Camden, AR.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home or First United Methodist Church.

She is under the care of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA and services are under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, AR.

Grace Marie Cooley

Grace Marie Cooley, 73, of Dry Creek, LA passed from this life on Monday, July, 16, 2018.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Greg Rumby of Huntington, TX, Donald Rumby, Sr. of DeRidder, LA, Fredrick Slaydon of Harlingen, TX, John Slaydon and Jodi of Jasper, TX, and Bubba Slaydon and Tracie of Dry Creek, LA; daughters, Skielar Bailey of Dayton, TX and Sherrie Delvin and Patrick of Bronson, TX; brother, James LaGrone of Eugene, OR; sisters, Trellis Havens, Barbara Cooley and Rachel Miers all of DeRidder, LA; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Ms. Cooley was preceded in death by her parents, Mendoza and Evelyn Cooley; sons, Jeffery, Sr. “Gator” and Billy “Bull” Slaydon; three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 20, 2018 also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Hardy Estes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Donald Rumby, Jr., Dustin Rumby, Coby Slaydon, Tyler Slaydon, Dalton Slaydon, Austin Slaydon, J.B. Slaydon and Patrick Delvin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffery Slaydon, Jr., Josh Owens, and Corby Williams.

Libby Trabue

Libby Trabue, 55, of Mittie, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, July 15, 2018.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 37 years, Edwin Trabue of Mittie, LA; sons, Bryan Trabue of Mittie, LA, Robert Trabue and Rosanna of Mittie, LA and Kevin Trabue of Mittie, LA; daughters, Patricia Pierce of DeQuincy, LA, Amber Sargent and Sarah Trabue of Mittie, LA; brothers, Robert Giles, Sr. and Toni of DeRidder, LA and Anthony Giles and Janet of Merryville, LA; sister, Carla Slaydon & Wayne of DeQuincy, LA; sixteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Robert Louis & Patsy Ruth Giles and sister, Lisa Wilson.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newlin cemetery in Singer, LA.

Jo Ann Williams

Jo Williams, 65, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, July 13, 2018.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Helen Craig of Newport News, VA and Carolyn Sue Delafort of Opelousas, LA; Friend and caretaker, Ms Lee Samuel of DeRidder, LA.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 4:00 PM, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.

Marlene Meadows Loftin Archer

Marlene Meadows Loftin Archer, 85 of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

Ms. Archer loved sewing, quilting and loved spending quality time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Willie Mae Meadows; brothers, John Kent Meadows and Bobby Lynn Meadows; sister, Ima Jean Meadows; granddaughter, “Kate” Loftin.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, July 14, 2018, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Wayne Squyres will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Brian Phelps, Jeremy Fountain, Aaron Fountain, Nathan Loftin, Nehemiah Loftin, James Loftin, Zachary Loftin and Anthony Loftin. Burial will follow at Cannon cemetery in Merryville, LA,

Visitation and service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Bilbo Church of Christ in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
