Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Willie Gervious LaCaze Jr. and wife Sandra of Pitkin, LA, Gwen LaCaze-Clark and husband Mark of Sulphur, LA, Gleda LaCaze-Conner and husband Arnie of Pitkin, LA, Gayla LaCaze-James of Natchitoches, LA, Gennie LaCaze-Grevemberg and husband Karl of Burr Ferry, LA, Geneva LaCaze-Williams and husband Lee Jay of Pitkin, LA, and Gregory Paul LaCaze and wife Trish of Pitkin, LA; sisters, Nancy Beth Townsend of Grant, LA, and Marie Houston of Six Mile, LA; 20 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Gervious “Bo” LaCaze Sr.; parents, James and Nancy Smith; 8 brothers; and 1 sister.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 beginning at 11:00am until time of funeral service on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:00am at Pitkin Pentecostal Church in Pitkin, LA. Burial will follow at Blue Branch cemetery in Pitkin. Rev. C.R. Bayham will officiate.

Willie May Duncan
April 9, 1944 - June 7, 2015

Willie May Duncan, 71 of Oretta, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at her home. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Duncan; son, Timothy Ray Rainwater of Fields, LA; and sisters, Linda Lucius of DeQuincy, LA, and Wanda Hollie of Fields, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Floice Hyatt; and sister, Iva Anna Pickering.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Pentecostal House of Praise in Hargrove, LA beginning at 5:00pm. Funeral service is Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 2:00pm at Pentecostal House of Praise in Hargrove, LA. Burial will follow at Hyatt cemetery in Hyatt, LA.

Donald Lee Mitchell, 83, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, June 1, 2015 at his home. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nettie Doris Simmons Mitchell; son, Dale Mitchell and wife Anita of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Sharon Moore and husband Terry of DeRidder, LA; sister, Alma Ramsey and husband Robert of Haughton, LA; granddaughter, Amanda O’Brien and husband Aaron of Grafenwohr, Germany; grandsons, Robert Mitchell Jr. and wife Kayla of Porter, TX, Jonathan Mitchell of DeRidder, LA, Casey Bailey and wife Celina of DeRidder, LA; great grandchildren, Rylea and Katherine O’Brien, and Elizabeth Mitchell; and numerous niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Minnie Cooley Mitchell; sister, Juanice Phelphs; brothers, RC, JP, and John R. Mitchell.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June, 3, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service is Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill cemetery. Bro. Danny Wilson and Jay Alexander will officiate.

Pauline Spikes
November 19, 1964 - May 29, 2015
Pauline Spikes, 50, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Friday, May 29, 2015 at her home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Reggie Lee Spikes; son, Jason Joyce of Sulphur, LA; daughter, Kimberly Joyce of Lake Charles, LA; brothers, Floyd Joyce of Beaumont, TX, twin brother, Paul Joyce of Lake Charles, LA, and Clifford Joyce, Sr. of DeQuincy, LA; sisters, Kathy Alexander of Beaumont, TX, and Veronica Joyce of DeQuincy, LA; grandchildren, Darrion Washington, Koreyon Washington, Kayleigh Joyce, Tamiya Joyce, Kaison Joyce and Javion Joyce; godchild, Keyshawn Bias; best friends, Cathy Ardoin, Renee Doyle, Dee Spikes and Shirley Childs. She was preceded in death by her mother, Freda Tucker; mother-in-law, Lorine Spikes; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Murphey Brock Sr.; and stepfather, Adrian Tucker.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00am at Friendship Baptist Church in Bancroft, LA. Burial will follow at Spikes cemetery in Bancroft, LA. Rev. Wilfert William will officiate.

Rodney Goins
December 1, 1940 - May 29, 2015

Rodney Wayne Goins, 74, of DeQuincy, LA, passed from this life on Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Anthony Ray of Sulphur, LA, and Rodney Glenn Ray and wife Rebecca of Merryville, LA; stepsons, Dale Baldridge and wife Leslie, and Tommy Baldridge all of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Jessica Allen and husband Joshua of Dequincy, LA; stepdaughter, Angela Baldridge of Arizona; brother Bryan Goins and wife Cecilia of Lumberton, TX; sister, Lucille Poole of Singer, LA; 5 granddaughters; 7 grandsons; 7 great granddaughters; and 1 great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Goins; parents, Forest and Alberta Goins; brothers, J.B., Forrest, Vernon Sr., and Kenneth Goins.
Visitation will be held at Good Hope Baptist Church in Singer, LA on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm and on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 12:30pm until 2:00pm. Funeral service will begin at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 31, 2015. Burial will follow at Good Hope cemetery in Singer. Rev. Jimmy Clark will officiate.

Sally Baker
September 23, 1927 - May 28, 2015
Sally Baker, 87, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, May 28, 2015.

Sally was the owner of Merryville Panther Den in Merryville.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Johnny Bee Newberry and husband Harvey of Liberty, TX, and Dorothy Williamson and Max Fontenot of Merryville, LA; 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Rowell; mother, Ida Belle Daniels Rowell; sisters, Emily Rowell Beard and Clara Mae Bass.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00am at Merryville cemetery. Rev. Linda Ashworth, Rev. David Kendall, and Rev. Clyde Snyder will officiate.

Doris Kiser
October 1, 1960 - May 23, 2015

Doris Marie Kiser of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Kiser; her cherished children, Crystal Dougherty and William Brown; and her equally cherished step children, Lee Kiser, James Kiser, Mathew Kiser, and Tammy Brown, Rod Brown, and Shannon Brown. Doris is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Greysen McClees and Bryce McClees. Doris' surviving sisters and brother are Penny Dougherty, Joyce Zuiderveen, Marie Murray, Betty Kulinski and Gerald Dougherty, Jr. Doris is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many dear friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, Gerald LeRoy Dougherty; mother, Judy Doris Martin Dougherty; and grandson, Dominick McClees.
Doris was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She loved spending time at Lake Michigan in South Haven, Michigan. Doris was known for her contagious smile, fabulous hugs, surprise birthday cakes and her unselfish way of giving from her heart. Doris lived the last years of her life in pain due to a car accident. Still, she shared her humble spice for life, unique wisdom of the world and loving gernerosity. She will be dearly missed by many.
Aquiet memorial gathering will be held for Doris at a time when family member are able to attend. Her friends are asked to contact family for details.

Samuel "Sammy" Cole
August 20, 1942 - May 24, 2015
On Sunday the 24th of May 2015, Samuel “Sammy” Isaiah Cole, 72 of DeRidder went home to be with his Lord & Savior. Those remaining to miss him are his wife, Debra Wilkins Cole of DeRidder, LA; his children, Kim Cole Weldon & husband Nolen of Pitkin, LA, Keleigh Cole Mooney & husband Donnie of Calvin, OK, Jason Cole & wife Kyla of Lake Charles, LA, bonus sons, Derek Richardson & wife Shannon of Lake Charles, LA, Jamie Richardson & wife Amie of DeRidder, LA; his pride and glory, “precious grandchildren,” Michael Terry of Ada, OK, Alex Terry & fiancé Sierra of Ada, OK, Cade Weldon & wife Breanna of Lake Charles, LA, Dace, Avery, and Addison Cole of Lake Charles, LA, Jenna, Emily and Clark Richardson of Lake Charles, LA, and Ian and Liam Richardson of DeRidder, LA. His brother, Bill Curtis of Ada, OK, sister, Patsy Curtis Reed of Roff, OK and one “adoptive” sister and friend, Margaret Harper Crowe of DeRidder, LA; and a host of cousins and friends.

Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Douglas Cole & mother, Eutha Juanita Deason Curtis.

Sammy was an Air Force Veteran, he worked in financial institutions and managed motels for a number of years. He was always a compassionate friendly individual. He made an impact on numerous people over the years. Sammy will be missed by many. Diagnosed with bladder cancer three months ago, he was one that never complained. He always said that everything was in the hands of the Lord. No one is perfect, but he strived to be every day. He shared his faith with those around him. The earth will surely miss this faithful servant of the Lord.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5-8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Smyrna cemetery.

William Keel Jr.
September 17, 1961 - May 14, 2015

William Henry Keel Jr., 53, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alison Keel of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Yolanda Keel of Antioch, TN, and Ashley Keel of DeRidder, LA; step-son, Byron Jackson of Arnaudville, LA; step-daughter, FaTasha Ruffin and husband Brandon of Antioch, TN; brother, James Antonio Keel of New Haven, CT; sisters, Debra Keel of West Haven, CT, Gail McGee and husband Gordon of West Haven, CT, and Carol Keel of New Haven, CT; and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Morning Star Church in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until time of Funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery. Pastor McClain will officiate.

Vicky Redpath
December 27, 1961 - May 13, 2015
Vicky Louise Redpath, 53, resident of DeRidder, LA, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Beaumont, TX from a stroke. Vicky was born December 27, 1961 in Missouri and raised in Morgan City, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dave Redpath; and mother, Vivian Strother. She is survived by her fiance’, Carl Burk of DeRidder; aunt, Debra Cantrell (Randy) of Baton Rouge; brothers, Brian (Charlotte) Driemeier of Missouri, and Raymond Strother of Baton Rouge; sister, Penny LaCoste (Burt) of Patterson; nieces and nephews, Nicholas LaCoste Sr., Christian (Joel) Neal, Kimberly Lacoste, Deven Vining, Ginger DeGonia, Brian Driemeier Jr, and Nathan Driemeier; plus many more, and great nieces and nephews. She loved them all. She is also survived by many great friends.

Vicky was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, loved being outside, and making her yard pretty. Vicky loved collecting butterflies. Every time you see one, think of her with fond memories. Christmas was her favorite holiday as it was just another reason to get together with friends and family. Even though she never had children of her own, kids loved her and she was Aunt Vicky to many children.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA from 10:00am until 12:00pm, with her friend, an Indian Shaman, Vance Beaver performing the ceremony. Her friends are asked to come barefooted in a tribute to her, as she didn’t like wearing shoes even though she owned many pairs.

Sharon Myers
January 13, 1953 - May 13, 2015
Sharon Ann McDonald Myers, 62, of DeQuincy, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Monie Ingram and husband Nathan of Alabaster, AL; son Cory Ogea and wife Trish of Bridge City, TX; grandchildren, Micah Ingram, Melody Ingram, Emily Ogea, and Karissa Ogea; sisters, Jean Martinez and husband Marvin of Starks, LA, and Pam Corbin of Scott, LA; brothers, Jay Dale McDonald and wife Connie of DeQuincy, LA, and James McDonald and wife Angie of Vinton, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Gambrell Baptist Church in Starks, LA. Funeral service is Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 2:00pm at Gambrell Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Nibletts Bluff cemetery in Vinton, LA. Rev. Nathan Ingram will officiate.
