Those left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Clare VanZile Reeves of Dry Creek, LA; Sons, Walter Reeves & Wife Theresa of Dry Creek, LA, Dale Reeves & Wife Denise of Dry Creek, LA; Daughter, Frances Bunch & Husband George of Kiln, MS; Sisters, Monica Wilson & Husband Ray of Nederland, TX, LaJuan Gill of Dry Creek, LA, Veronica Whitehorn of Kent, WA; Grandchildren, Brent Martin, Christopher Reeves, Tristian Jones & Husband Brandon, Lyssa Reeves. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his Parents, Floyd & Clytie Reeves; Brother, Donald Ray Reeves; Sister, Mona O’Dell Reeves; Great Grandson, Brandon Gabriel Jones.
Mr. Reeves was a retired Marine Corps Staff Sergeant. He was also a retired MS. DOT Law Enforcement Officer & MS. Agricultural & Livestock Farmer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 PM and again on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 9:00AM until time of service at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29 2014 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Central Louisiana Veterans cemetery in Leesville, LA. Bro. Jerry Day will officiate.

Keithan Maurice Bryant, 40, of Deridder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, May 23, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Landus Patterson of DeRidder, LA; brother, Lopez Bryant of DeRidder, LA; 4 half brothers; 6 half sisters; uncle, Clarence Allen of Merryville, LA; aunts, Norvella Hadnot and husband Thomas of DeRidder, LA and Vivian Robinson and husband Leamond of DeRidder, LA, Lynette Johnson of Delaware, and Virgie Gail Riley and husband of Washington; god mother, Mary Bush; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucille Martin; aunt, Eula Mae Johnson; and uncle, Harvey Johnson.
Visitation and Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Beauregard Church of Christ in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 9:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder. Rev. Jasper Newsome will officiate.

Irving "Wallace" Johnson, 68, of Pitkin, LA passed from this life on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his residence. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Johnson of Pitkin, LA. Sons, Edwin K. Giles of Cravens, LA, Allen Paul Yawn and Fiance' Sherry of Fullerton, LA, Steven Johnson and Wife Candi of Rosepine, LA.
Daughter, Melody Suzanne Johnson of Leesville, LA. Brother, Marvin Johnson of California. Sisters, Nola Pelt of Cravens, LA, Ada Rose Robinson and Husband Webb of Hineston, LA, Ila Mae Davis and Husband Enzley of Hineston, LA. Grandchildren, Kayla Ruiz, Katelyn Yawn, Karissa Ruiz, Hunter Johnson, Shelton Johnson and Jewel Johnson.
And a loving host of neices, nephews, friends & family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Irving and Jewel Johnson, 3 Brothers, & 1 Sister. He was a hard worker who never met a stranger and an avid coffee drinker. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Joyce Hickman

Joyce Rae Hickman, 86, of DeRidder, LA, stepped into Heaven on Saturday, May 17, 2014 with her son and daughter-in-law at her side. Joyce was born on December 24, 1927 to Robert and Mattie Miers of DeRidder. She graduated from DeRidder High School and worked for 28 years until retirement in 1989 as the budget Officer at Fort Polk Army Post. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of DeRidder, a member of Joy Singers Choir, and a 19 year member of Pinehurst Chapter #33, Order of Eastern Star.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marshall O. Hickman; daughter, Katherine Janelle; son, Marshall Wayne; sisters, Bobbie Mae Cooper and Geneva Denise Miers; parents, Robert and Mattie Miers. She is survived by her son, Roger D. Hickman and devoted daughter-in-law, Carla, of Whitehouse, TX; grandsons, Marshall Ryan and Kevin Reid Hickman of Whitehouse, TX and Jeremy (Lauren), Timothy(Sarah) and Stephen(Jennifer) Hickman, all of San Antonio, TX; brother, Thomas Miers; sister Myra Jean Warren both of DeRidder, LA; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 5:30pm until 9:00pm and Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 9:00am until 10:30am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:30am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder, LA, with an Eastern Star Ceremony. Rev.
