Claudia Erwin Watson, 84, of DeRidder, LA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Mrs. Watson worked for many years as a nurse for Dr. Lee and Dr. Sibley in Merryville, LA.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Melbourne D. Watson; son, Doug Erwin and wife Diana of Merryville, LA; daughters, Patti Erwin Blackmon and husband Allen of Danville, AR and Jacque Eaves Riley and husband Ron of Sulphur, LA; 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10:00am also at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cannon cemetery in Merryville, LA. Pastor Wayne Squires will officiate. Raymond Earl “Bones” Maxie , 61, of Hornbeck, LA passed from this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Those left to cherish his memory are his Son:Raymond Maxie, Jr. and wife Rachael of Witchita Falls, TX: Mother: Vera D. Maxie of Hornbeck, LA: Brother: LeRoy Maxie and wife Carol of Pineville, LA: Sisters: Mary Sharp and husband Johnny of DeRidder, LA and Joyce Davis and husband Mike of Hornbeck, LA. He had 7 nieces, 6 nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence A. Maxie and his brothers, Clarence (C.W.) Maxie and Jerry Joe Maxie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4-10 PM at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 3 PM at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Good Hope cemetery in Singer, LA.

Karissa Michal Walley, 18, of Rosepine, LA passed from this life on Sunday, July 28, 2013. Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Mike & Pam Walley of Rosepine, LA; sister, Jessica Walley of Rosepine, LA; brother, Mark Walley of Rosepine, LA; Grandparents, Bobbie Walley of Rosepine, LA and Ochel and Lorine Moses of DeRidder, LA, Great Grandmothers, Magaline Johnson of Alexandria, LA and Vera Moses of DeRidder, LA, and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and Friends. Karissa was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Rev. Grover C. Walley and Uncle, Rev. Gary W. Walley.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 5-9 PM at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Whitaker cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Rev. Tim Whistine, Rev. Jeff Phillips, Rev. Kevin Cox, and Rev. Ed Tilley will officiate.

Irma "Betty" Elizabeth Bailey, 78, of Leesville, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, November 20, 2010 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at Providence Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Churchin Leesville, Louisiana.
Rev. Byrd & Rev. Arlen Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow at Providence cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.
Mrs. Bailey lived in the Providence Community since 2002.
She was born in Manitow, Colorado and spent most of her life in Texas.
She worked for 25 years as a South Western Bell phone operator.
She was a wonderful preacher's wife, world's greatest mother & grandmother.
She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her.
She was a mom to everyone.
