ROBERT ADDISON
INDEPENDENCE -- Robert Addison, 75, died Monday, July 19, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
A native of Amite, he worked as a laborer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Barnett Addison of Independence; six daughters, Emma Wade, Christine Addison and Marion Ricks, all of Dallas, Mary Ann Morgan of Baton Rouge, Laura Brown of Kenner and Bessie Addison of Amite; six sons, David, John and Percy Cornish, all of Greensburg, Edward Cornish of St. Francisville, and Cecil and Stewart Addison, both of Amite; one sister, Yvonne Donald of Amite; and one stepson.
His parents, Bertha and John Addison; and two brothers, Maurice Addison and Clyde Wheat, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Friday at Angelic Funeral Home, Roseland, from 2 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Dionell Watson will conduct the funeral Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Independence.
Burial will be at Big Zion Cemetery, Roseland.
JOHN COLEMAN
PONCHATOULA -- John Coleman, 72, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at his home.
He is survived by two sons, the Rev. Carl Coleman of Ponchatoula and Ronald Coleman of Clinton, Md.; two brothers, Roy and Phillip Coleman, both of Seattle; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Curtis Wilson will conduct the funeral Saturday at noon.
Burial will be at Holly Garden Cemetery, Hammond.
JOSEPH ANTHONY FAZZIO
INDEPENDENCE -- Joseph Anthony "Pops" Fazzio, 83, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004.
A native of Independence, he is survived by three sons, James, Ronald and Jeffrey Fazzio; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Ferina Fazzio; and two sons, Michael and Richard Fazzio.
Visitation will be at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, Ill., Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday at St. Raymond De Penefort Church, Mount Prospect, Ill., from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10.
Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery.

ALBERT DURWOOD HORNE
PONCHATOULA -- Albert Durwood Horne, 80, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Ponchatoula.
He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and was a Mason.
He is survived by three sons, Tom Horne of LaPlace, Don Horne of Springhill and Ronnie Horne of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Betty Jane Douglas of Canton, Miss.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at Alexander Funeral Home, Norco. A graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Canton Cemetery, Canton, Miss.

PERCY MITCHELL
SPRINGFIELD -- Percy Mitchell, 68, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
A native of Killian, he is survived by his wife, Betty Foster Mitchell of Springfield; two daughters, Susan May of Smithdale, Miss., and Theresa Kyzar of Independence; two brothers, Joseph Mitchell and Bobby McKinney, both of Killian; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Mart McKinney Sr.; and his father, Percy Mitchell.
Visitation will be Friday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the Rev. Jim Shaull and the Rev. Billie Kennedy conducts the funeral at 10.
Burial will be at Foster Cemetery.
MICHAEL KENNETH WAX SR.
PUMPKIN CENTER -- Michael Kenneth Wax Sr., 57, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
A native of Pumpkin Center, he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and Operators and Engineers Local 406 of New Orleans.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Wax Everett of Pumpkin Center; one son, Michael K. Wax Jr. of Pumpkin Center; three sisters, Diane Morgan, Carolyn Wagner and Norma Lee Pickering, all of Pumpkin Center; two brothers, Shelly and Reidie Wax, both of Pumpkin Center; and six grandchildren.
His wife, Carolyn Severio Wax; his parents, Clinton and Willie Dee Bankston Wax; and his grandparents, Reid and Francis Stewart Wax and Willis and Eva Addison Bankston, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Friday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the Rev. Randy Davis conducts the funeral at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.

ALBANY -- U.S. Army Pfc. Charles Clayton Persing, 20, died earlier this week in Iraq.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond.
BETHEL SHERIDAN
PONCHATOULA -- Bethel Sheridan, 91, died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Hammond.
A native of Ponchatoula, she is survived by one son, Jimmy Sheridan Sr. of Ponchatoula; two daughters, Gwen Alexander and Lynn Reese, both of Ponchatoula; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mae Ella Kuhn Matthews and Francis Matthews; her husband, Ray Sheridan; and one son, Don Sheridan.
The funeral was this afternoon, and burial was in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

ANDREW IVANYISKY
ALBANY -- Andrew "Andy" Ivanyisky, 83, died Sunday, July 18, 2004.
He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, American Legion Post 58 and Amvets Post 68. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from the Hammond Office of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
He is survived by one son, Paul A. Ivanyisky of Albany; one daughter, Patricia Ivanyisky Friedman of Albany; three brothers, Alex Ivanyisky Sr. of Denham Springs, and Steve and Mike Ivanyisky, both of Albany; and four grandchildren.
His wife, Eleanor Ivanyisky; his parents, Joseph and Suzanna Filezer Ivanyisky; five brothers, John, Joe, Paul, Frank and Louis Ivanyisky; and one sister, Mary Mocsary, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 10 with a vigil scheduled for 7 at Geisler Funeral Home in Albany. Further visitation will be Wednesday from 8 to 9:50 a.m. A Mass will be held at 10 at St. Margaret Catholic Church.

EDNA TUTTLE BABIN
PONCHATOULA -- Edna Tuttle Babin, 89, died Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Hammond Rehabilitation Hospital.
A native of Summit, Miss., Babin is survived by daughter Barbara B. Norred of Ponchatoula; two sons, Barney Babin of Denham Springs and Warren Babin of Ponchatoula; sister Ethel Hanna of Ponchatoula; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Edna Babin was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Babin Sr.; son Murphy Babin Jr.; two sisters, Viola Sibley and Kathleen Ballard; and three brothers, Virgil, Lee and Winfred Tuttle.
Visitation is scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. Religious services will follow visitation Monday at the funeral home chapel. interment will be at Sand Hill Cemetery.
EMILY MARIE DUPRE
AMITE -- Emily Marie Dupre, 91, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at Tangi Pines Nursing Home.
A native of Pointe Au Chene and resident of the area, Dupre, a homemaker, is survived by sister Dorina Jervais of Independence and four brothers, Lenais and Alcee Dupre of Pointe Au Chene, Freddie Dupre of Marrero and Emery Dupre of Grand Calliou.
Emily Dupre was preceded in death by her parents, Andre and Julia Neil Dupre; three sisters, Cynthia Dupre, Agnes Rodrigue and Delma LeBouef; and two brothers, Paul and Leroy Dupre.
A graveside service was scheduled for Saturday at Ford Cemetery. Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home of Hammond handled the arrangements.
ROY LEE FOSTER SR.
LORANGER -- Roy Lee Foster Sr., 46, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004.
A native of Amite, Foster was an Army veteran. He is survived by six daughters, a son, seven sisters, six brothers and nine grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Greater Community Church of God in Christ off Bennett Road in Amite, with elder Daniel Muse Sr. officiating.
Foster will be buried at Flemmings Cemetery
in Independence.
