He was 87, born April 28, 1912, in Natalbany. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Dr. Burn Page. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Margarett Anderson Mullins; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Joe Juban; a son and daughter-in-law, William R. "Regi" Mullins III and Ann Mullins; five grandchildren, Eric and Brian Juban, Grey, Matt and Sara Mullins; a sister, Ruth Mullins Post; and a brother and sister-in-law, John D. and Julia Mullins. Preceded in death by his parents, William Reginald and Adelaide DeCoux Mullins; and two sisters, Effie Bush and Alice Bowman. Pallbearers will be grandsons, and Christopher Bush and Douglas Dorhauer. He was a graduate of LSU, a member of First Baptist Church and past grand exalted ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 490.

PHILLIPS, EMMA BATISTE
A retired domestic servant and a resident of Plaquemine, she died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine. She was 96, born July 28, 1903, in Livonia. Visiting at Hall’s Mortuary, Port Allen, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Visiting at Macedonia Baptist Church, Plaquemine, from 5 p.m. until wake services from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Religious services at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Larry Hood. interment in Grace Memorial Park. She was a member of Laboring Sisters Benevolent Society No. 1, Macedonia Baptist Church Home Mission, Greater St. Mary Baptist Church Pastor’s Aide Club and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Pastor’s Aide Club. She is survived by a sister, Malina Batiste Williams, Plaquemine; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ennis Batiste, Plaquemine; two godchildren, Sally Banks Mitchell and Rosemary Mellieon Willis, Plaquemine; a devoted friend, Matthew Woods ; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Leo Paul Batiste and Josephine Christopher Batiste; stepmother, Mathilda Leufroy Batiste; three sisters, Mary Batiste Shaws, Rose Batiste Rowe and Ina Batiste Mellieon; and four brothers, Matthew, Willie, Murphy and Roland Batiste.

RAYNE, STELLA ALFORD
A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Loranger, she Passed away at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Summit Hospital at the age of 84. Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Stephen Fleming. interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Nemoure "Pap" Rayne; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Ron Vendt of Prairieville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and Caroline Myers of Atlanta, who is special to the family. Preceded in death by her mother and father, Irene and Andrew Alford; three brothers, Otis, Bud and Ozell Alford; and a sister, Zettie Baham.

ROBERTS, RAYOLA
A resident of Kentwood, she died at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 77 and a native of Itawamba County, Miss. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Jeff Lowe. interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Martha Ann Garrison, Walker, and Jamie and Myra Roberts, East Fork; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Gene Gallo, Bradenton, Fla., and Annette and Luther Hano, Roseland; 13 grandchildren and spouses, Nancy Garrison, Robert and Georgia Garrison, Sandy Gallo and Wayne Padolik, Darenda Gallo and Douglas Marvin, Donde Hano and Mitch Bridges, Heather Hano and Brock Muse, Chad and Jamie Hano, Dustin Hano, Jaime Roberts, Stacey Roberts, Justin Roberts, Kayla O’Keefe and Kaci Kennedy; seven great-grandchildren, Jada Garrison, Tyler Marvin, Matthew and Ashton Bridges, Brice Muse, Cheyenne Hano and Jaiden O’Keefe; three sisters, Mae Skinner, Ida Lea Garrison and Faye Ponder; a brother, Clifford Cummings; and a devoted niece, Euple Westmoreland. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy Roberts; infant twin sons, Lanny Ray Roberts and Danny Gene Roberts; parents, Columbus and Gertie Cummings; a granddaughter, Nikki Kennedy; a sister, Vera Swindle; and three brothers, Clyde Howard Cummings, James Earl Cummings and John Ed Cummings. Memorial contributions may be made to Kentwood Lions Club.

ROBERTSON, JR. LEONARD "NESS"
A resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at D’Ville House Nursing Home, Donaldsonville. He was 63 and a native of Napoleonville. Visiting at St. Luke AME Church, Donaldsonville, from 10 a.m. Friday until religious services at noon, conducted by the Rev. Harry Snearl Jr. Burial in Protestant Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Shenna Lewis, Detroit; a son, Leonard Robertson III, Aurora, Ill.; six sisters, Geraldine Robertson, Audrey Barnes, Gloria Allen and Agatha Washington , all of Donaldsonville, Marie Haynes, Englewood, Calif., and Dionne Wilson, Gardena, Calif.; a brother, Lionel Robertson, Westwego; two aunts, Lottie Dorsey and Alice Allen; four grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including Paula Madison. Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Robertson Sr. and Helen Allen Robertson. Brazier-Watson Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, in charge of arrangements.

ROMAIN, ST. KIM
A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2000, in Baton Rouge. She was 36. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Religious services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Bill McLain. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her parents, Wayne and Mona St. Romain, Lake Rosemound; maternal grandmother, Nelva Aymond; a son, Tony Thibodeaux; a sister, Lauren St. Romain; two nephews, Tristan Shipley and Colton Shipley; and special friend, Frank Moore. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Iris and Anthony St. Roman; and maternal grandfather, Reefe Aymond.

WALKER, MILDRED ANN
A loving and devoted sister and aunt, she died at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at her home in Plaquemine. She was 80 and a native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Roscoe Mortuary, 58655 Meriam St., Plaquemine, from 2 p.m. until recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Friday, celebrated by the Rev. Jerome Dugas. interment in Grace Memorial Park. She is survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; six children whom she reared as her own, Juanita and De’Alex Hines, Marie Jones and Michael and Darold Hines, all of Plaquemine, and Carolyn Robinson, Port Allen; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Ora Mae) Hines Sr., Plaquemine, and the Rev. and Mrs. Sanders (Mary) Wilson Jr., Landover, Md.; a brother-in-law, McKinley Askins, Plaquemine; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

WALL, BARNEY TATE
A resident and native of Loranger, he died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 85. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, from 9 a.m. Friday until religious services at 2 p.m. interment in Loranger Community Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Louise Gerstein Wood Wall, Loranger; two sons, Barney Tate Wall Jr., Loranger, and Hugh E. Wall, Dallas; a stepdaughter, Betty Wood Addison, Loranger; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert J. Wall Jr., Hammond; and two sisters, Mearl Wall Simpson, Metairie, and Lois Wall Dykes, Hammond. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Pearlie Daisy Bennett Wall; three brothers, Claude, Howel and Pearl Wall; and an infant sister.

ALDREDGE, SARA I.
A retired schoolteacher and resident of Baton Rouge, she died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 86 and a native of Many. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 9 a.m. Saturday, conducted by Dr. Dennis Johnsey. Graveside services at Memory Lawn Cemetery, Natchitoches, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Survived by a sister-in-law, Nettie H. Aldredge, New Iberia; three nieces, Janet A. Pritchard, Denham Springs, Susan A. Fulfer, Midland, Texas , and Sandy A. Williams, Jena; two nephews, Jim Aldredge, New Orleans, and Tom Aldredge, Brigham City, Utah; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews, and 13 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Tom Aldredge; mother, Mina D. Aldredge; and two brothers, Leroy and Ferma Aldredge. She was a member of and a Sunday school teacher at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church.

ANKUM, ALICE LEBEOUF
A native and resident of Welcome, she died at 2:59 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 63. Visiting at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, St. James, 5 p.m. until religious services at 7 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Samuel Jones. Dismissal at noon Saturday. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by a son, Alfred Ankum Jr., St. James; two daughters, Pamela Ankum, St. James, and Patricia Harris Vaultz, Slidell; four sisters, Eva Mae Harris, St. James, Joyce and Willie Ann LeBeouf, both of New Orleans, and Octavia Thornton, Brittany; four brothers, Warren and Charles LeBeouf, both of St. James, Paul LeBeouf, Donaldsonville, and Albert LeBeouf, Baton Rouge; nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, June LeBeouf Sr. and Octavia Gauthreaux LeBeouf; husband, Alfred Ankum Sr.; two sisters, Fannie and Ethel LeBeouf; and two brothers, Junior and the Rev. BOUDREAUX, NOLAND WALTER "SHINE"
A retired waiter for Jake’s Place with 30 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, in West Feliciana Parish. He was 85 and a native of New Roads. Visiting at New Southside Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Saturday until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Smith. interment in Public Cemetery, Zachary. Survived by his wife, Marie Antoinette "Tilly" Boudreaux; a daughter, Shelia Bertrand, Baton Rouge; a son, Claude Clifton Boudreaux, Baton Rouge; two half-brothers, Johnny Boudreaux, New Roads, and Mathew Boudreaux, Empire; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by father; mother; two brothers; and two sisters.

BRIGNAC, GRACE SALASSI
A retired school teacher with 50 years of service, she died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 103 and a native of French Settlement. She taught for 43 years in French Settlement public schools and seven years at St. Theresa of Avila School in Gonzales. Visiting at St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement, 8:30 a.m. Saturday until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. James A. Kinkead. interment in church cemetery. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Agnes and Edwin C. Holmer, New Caanan, Conn.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Warren J. and Carmen C. Brignac, Fort Worth, Texas , and Edmond P. and Annette T. Brignac, Decatur, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Lisa Lynch, Paul Brignac, Stephen Brignac, Donna Borret, Dr. Raymond Brignac, Gary Brignac, Edwin Holmer Jr. and Russell Holmer; and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Hercule Paul Brignac; and six brothers and sisters. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement Historical Society, various teachers’ associations and was a graduate of Louisiana Normal College, Natchitoches. Miss Grace, as she was known, was a devoted teacher who had a positive influence on the lives of the many area residents who passed through her classrooms.

DESLATTE, SR. JOSEPH M.
An employee of Dixie Machine Welding and Metal Works Inc., New Orleans, and a resident of Lacombe since 1977, he died at his home Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, of cancer. He was 59 and a native of New Orleans. Visitation at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, from 9 a.m. Saturday until religious services at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Don Gilmore. interment in White Hall Cemetery, White Hall. He was the beloved husband of Rita G. Deslatte; father of three sons, Joseph M. Deslatte Jr., David Deslatte and Glen Deslatte, and a daughter, Lori Deslatte Ruiz; son of the late Oscar and Julia Fontenot Deslatte; brother of J.A. Deslatte, Adam Deslatte, Lena Barrient, Eunice Fontenot, Rozalia Anselmo, Addie V. Lucinski and the late Wilson Deslatte; and is survived by seven grandchildren. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Slidell.

DILWORTH, CORLAS M.
A graphics engineer and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 28 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at First Church of God in Christ United, 10 a.m. Saturday until religious services at noon. interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans. Survived by his wife, Kimyata DeJean Dilworth; mother, Leontene Rankins Dilworth; and a brother, Dr. Curtis McMurry Dilworth Jr. Preceded in death by his father, Curtis Dilworth Sr. Pallbearers will be Bryce Crier, Robert Guesnon, Dreux Lawes, Jimmy Lee Lewis, Byron Strain, Wilton Tate III and Ronald Taylor . Honorary pallbearers are Revius Adams, Curtis Dilworth Jr., Curtis Dilworth III, Joel Dixon, Renauld Lewis, Ernest Berry Polk and Reubin Porter. He was a graduate of Redeemer High School, received a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications at Southern University and was enrolled in a dual masters program in mass communications and computer science.
