OLIVER
ST. MARTINVILLE - Pierre Duclozel "P.D." Oliver, 86, a native of St. Martinville, former resident of Vacherie and Washington D.C. and Gonzales for the past two years, died May 1, 2002. He was the son of the late George and Inez Pedeaux Oliver and brother of Corinne Bolton, Mary Bourgeois and the late Inez Schexnaydre and George and Alcee Oliver. He was also the companion of Lana Hawkins.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and earned a Bronze Star. He was also retired from Johnston, Lemon & Co. of Washington D.C.
Memorial services are May 24 at 2 p.m. at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, with interment at the church cemetery.
PERKINS
LUTCHER - Savannah Diggs Perkins, 71, a native and resident of Lutcher, died May 12, 2002. She was the wife of the late Fred Perkins Sr. and mother of Fred Perkins Jr.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. Ernest Diggs and Geneva Bazile, stepdaughter of the late Eddie Johnson and sister of Elizabeth Weber, Helen and Herman Johnson and the late Raymond Joseph, Felicia Hubbard, Lubertha Jones and Shelton, Augustus and Ernest Diggs Jr.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were May 16 at Israelite Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at Golden Wreath Cemetery, Lutcher.
THOMAS
LULING - Ronald E. Thomas Sr., 94, a native of Mt. Carmel, Ill., and resident of Norco for 69 years, died May 12, 2002. He was the husband of 68 years of Helen M. Thomas and father of Ronald Thomas Jr.
He was the brother of Annie Hill and James Thomas.
He is also survived by two grandchildren.
He was retired from Shell Oil Company after 45 years, served as treasurer of Shell Employees Federal Credit Union (later Louisiana Federal Credit Union) for 50 years, a past Elder for Good Hope Presbyterian Church and past Master of Square and Compass Lodge No. 417 of Kenner.
Services were May 16 at First Union Presbyterian Church, Luling, with interment at St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery, New Orleans.
CHENIER
BATON ROUGE - Clinsey Joseph Chenier, 84, a native of Vacherie and resident of Baton Rouge, died Sept. 14, 2002. He was the husband of 63 years of Ursula Rougee Chenier and father of Annette Guerra and Gene Chenier.
He was the son of the late Elphage and Annette Brock Chenier and brother of Clifton Chenier and the late Althea Steib and Elphage "Joe" and Harris Chenier.
He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 17 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, with interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum.
HEBERT
NORCO - Eunice Martinez Hebert, 85, a native of Ascension Parish and resident of Norco, died Sept. 14, 2002.
She was the wife of the late Howard Hebert Sr. and mother of Howard Hebert Jr.
She was the daughter of the late Comille Martinez and Noamie Braud and sister of Lucille Speeg, Noamie Babin and the late Frances Montaldo, Owena Mazoue and Emile and George Martinez.
She is also survived by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 16 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
PERKINS
GRAMERCY - Beatrice W. Perkins, 74, a native and resident of Gramercy, died Sept. 13, 2002.
She was the wife of the late Johnnie Perkins and mother of George Weber Jr., Johnnie Mae Armont, Beatrice Mitchell and Jerry Perkins Sr.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Georgina Weber and sister of Julia Joseph and the late Melvina Baker and Joseph Jr., Oscar Sr., John, Anderson, Clementine and Celea Weber.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church, Gramercy, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina. Visitation starts today, 5-7 p.m., and Sept. 19 at 8 a.m.
SIMONEAUX
VACHERIE - Taadhimika Maiesia "Mika" Simoneaux, 21, a native of New Orleans and resident of Vacherie, died Sept. 6, 2002. She was the mother of Nigel Avonne and Tykeim Air Simoneaux.
She was the daughter of Bernard and Rosemary Favorite Simoneaux and sister of Roland Favorite and Tamara and Neion Simoneaux.
She was a graduate of St. James High School and a student at Southern University in Baton Rouge.
Services were Sept. 14 at First Baptist Church of Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.
CAGNOLATTI
GONZALES - Lloyd Andrew Cagnolatti, 83, a native of St. James and resident of Gonzales, died Aug. 12, 2001. He was the husband of the late Clara Sevin Cagnolatti and father of Claire Mueller and Eva, Yvonne, William, David, Frank, Joseph, Johnny and Guy Cagnolatti. He was the son of the late William P. and Haydee Poche Cagnolatti and brother of Wilba Bourgeois, Phyllis Andry, Mae Fenger and the late Bruce Cagnolatti. He is survived by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of St. James High School and Louisiana State University. He was a retired chemical engineer at Ormet Corp. with 27 years of service. Services were Aug. 14 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales, with interment at Hope Haven Cemetey, Gonzales.
CERISE
METAIRIE - Lindsey Rene Cerise, 17, a native and long-time resident of Metairie and recent resident of St. Rose, died Aug. 9, 2001. She was the daughter of Stefanie Neagle, stepdaughter of Harold Neagle and sister of Michelle Mier, Michelle Cerise, Crystal Neagle, John Hardenstein, Glen and Donald "Tiger" Cerise and Robert, Elliot and Joel Neagle. She was a student at Grace King High School and member of Dance Connection. She was also a former employee of Cafe Roma and Metairie Ridge Daycare. Services were Aug. 13 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Metairie, with interment at Metairie Cemetery.
DETILLIER
PAULINA - Alexander Rene Detillier, 4 months, died Aug. 10, 2001. He was the son of Boyd and Anne Detillier and brother of Benjamin and the late Michael and Matthew Detillier. He was the grandchild of Rene "T- White " and Marie Millet and Charles "Sonny" and Marie Detillier. Services were Aug. 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
DUPLESSIS
PAULINA - Eldred J. "Dupe" Duplessis, 73, a native of Gonzales and resident of Paulina, died Aug. 11, 2001. He was the husband of Enola Martin Duplessis and father of Patricia Vicknair, Elaine Landry and Brenda Louque. He was the son of the late Sedorise and Martine Braud Duplessis and brother of Doris Braud, Holden "Pip" and Harvey Duplessis and the late Selma Bercegeay and Elgin and Velma Duplessis. He is survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Services were Aug. 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
LOUQUE
PAULINA - Shirley Cart Louque, 65, a native of Beaumont, Texas , and resident of Paulina, died Aug. 11, 2001. She was the wife of the late James N. Louque and mother of Marsha, Sherrie, Mary Merritt, Camilla, Steven and James Louque. She is survived by two sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. Services were Aug. 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church cemetery.
ANDERSON
ST. JAMES - Ronald "JuJu" Anderson, 48, a native and resident of St. James, died Jan. 20, 2004. He was the son of the late Freddie and Dorothy Dennis Anderson, and brother of Rosemary Broden, Dorothy Dennis, Milton and Harold Anderson, and the late Martha Charles, Geraldine Dunbar, Audrey, Freddie and Leroy Anderson.
Services are today at noon at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, St. James, with interment at St. Luke Baptist Cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
BOURGEOIS
PAULINA - Oliver "Poochie" Maurice Bourgeois Jr., 64, a native of Gramercy and resident of Paulina, died Jan. 18, 2004. He was the husband of 44 years of Brenda St. Pierre Bourgeois and father of Cathy "La-La," Jimmy, Danny, Scott, Barry and Corey Bourgeois.
He was also the son of the late Oliver Sr. and Thelma Roussel Bourgeois, and brother of Annette Rome, Elaine Brack, Linda Monica, Billy and Tommy Bourgeois.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services were Jan. 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
