Laura A. Silhavy
Services for Mrs. John Silhavy, 78, the former Laura Arton, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Choorackunnel officiating. Entombment will be in the Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
A native of Jeanerette and resident of Somerville, Texas , Mrs. Silhavy died at 10:56 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan, Texas .
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria B. Rao of Somerville; five grandchildren, Laura Thompson (Frank) of Corpus Christi, Texas , Danny Rao of Bryan, Dale Rao (Jeanelle) of Carrollton, Texas , Roxanne Franks and Dana Yezak (Leslie) both of Somerville; nine great-grandchildren, Shauna Pendleton (Gary) of Elgin, Texas , John Terry Franks of Phoenix, Joy Lynn Camp (Mark) of Corpus Christi, Steven Dale Franks of Huntington Beach, Calif., Sarah Marie, Darren James, Ryan Daniel and John Patrick Yezak, all of Somerville, and Matthew James Sandlin of Stephenville, Texas ; two great-great-grandchildren, Frank Ryan Pendleton of Elgin and Hunter Thomas Camp of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Manuel Arton of Sommerville and Lawrence Arton of Jeanerette; and several sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Silhavy was preceded in death by her husband, John Silhavy; her parents, Joseph and Philomene Allemande Arton; one sister, Leona Martin; eight brothers, Leonard Arton, Dennis Arton, Adonis Arton, Lionel Arton, John Arton, Daniel Arton, Ulysse Arton and Lester Arton; and one grandson, Jacob Bentley Sandlin.
Memorials may be made to Mental Health and Mental Retardation organizations.

Anita D. Breaux
Services for Anita D. Breaux, 101, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with the Rev. Charles Thevis officiating. interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Breaux died at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at Columbia Dauterive Hospital.
She was a seamstress.
Mrs. Breaux is survived by one son, Minos J. Breaux of New Iberia; three daughters, Eula Breaux Judice of Loreauville, Dilta Breaux Leblanc and Maud Breaux Viator, both of New Iberia; 13 grandchidren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edrase Breaux; her parents, Homer and Amanda Trahan David; three sons, Edward Breaux, Jessie Breaux and Wilson Breaux; two brothers, Clarence David and Claude David; and three sisters, Beleuh Broussard, Levie Trahan and Rena Viator.
Pallbearers will be James Lee Breaux, Randy Breaux, Glen Leblanc, Delain Viator, Michael Viator and Sonny Viator.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Babin, Lloyd Broussard, Keith Comeaux, Troy Comeaux, Howard Lepointe, Glen Pesson, Felton Trahan and Harold Trahan.

LAFAYETTE - Services for Eula B. Champagne, 71, the former Eula Broussard, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Martin and Casitlle Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas E. Kamenski officiating. Lectors were Chad Bodin and Beverly Credeur. Organist, Joni Hamilton sang "Amazing Grace,' "On Eagles' Wings" and "Be Not Afraid." interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery
in Rayne.
A native of Rayne and resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Champagne died at 6:14 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at her residence.
She was employed by Hamilton Medical Group for 23 years before her retirement, formerly employed by South Central Bell and Acadiana Bottling. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Community.
Mrs. Champagne is survived by one daughter, Diane Landry of New Iberia; one beloved grandson, Chad Bodin of New Iberia; two sisters, Beulah Credeur of Rayne and Melba Ardoin of Welsh; and many beloved and faithful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adonis and Marie Jeanne Bordes Broussard, both natives of Rayne; two brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers were Chad K. Bodin, Kenneth Bodin, Lennis Credeur, Edward Ardoin, Paul Louviere and Paul Richard.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Duplechin, Glenn Landry, Alvin Smith and Sidney Ory.

A resident of Abbeville, Mr. Hebert died at 6:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at Abbeville General Hospital following a brief illness.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a retired self-employed electrician, a member of St. Theresa de child Jesus Catholic Church where he served as an usher and past parish trustee. Mr. Hebert was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council No. 77 of Abbeville, a member of the St. Paul Assembly No. 3, Fourth Degree Kinghts of Peter Claver of Lafayette, a member of the board of directors for Abbeville Building and Loan and a past member of the Vermilion Parish Drainage Board.
Mr. Hebert is survived by his wife, Agnes W. Hebert of Abbeville; one son, Louis B. Hebert Jr. of Abbeville; one brother, Ernest Hebert of Lake Charles; one sister, Priscilla Romero of Oakland, Calif.; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Hebert and Nolia O'Brien Primeaux; one son, Ernest Joseph Hebert; one brother, Roy Hebert; and his stepfather, Jim Primeaux.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel, which will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of services.
A native of New Iberia, Mr. Placide died at 10:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at Iberia Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his wife, Wilda Tauriac Placide of New Iberia; one son, Anthony Guillory of New Iberia; three daughters, Gloria Green of Houston, Delores Fusilier of Lafayette, and Emma Verdun of New Iberia; two sisters, Sister Anastasia Placide of Washington , D.C., and Ida P. Hills of Jeanerette; and 15 grandchildren.
Mr. Placide was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Placide and Emma James Placide; one son, Wilfred Guillory and one brother, Joseph Placide.

A resident of Alexandria, Mrs. Trimble died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, in Lexington House.

Fran L. Frick
DONALDSONVILLE - Services for Fran Landry Frick, 50, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy Cuevas officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Norco and resident of Pensacola for the past 24 years, Mrs. Frick died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997, in a Pensacola hospital.
She was a graduate of LSU School of Law in Baton Rouge, a member in good standing in the Florida Bar Association and the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association. She had also served on the local Grievance Committee and the Judicial Committee. Mrs. Frick was in the Northwest Florida Association of Women Lawyers, was Certified in the Federal District Court and the Middle District of Florida. She was in the National Directory of Who's Who for Professional Excellence and had numerous pro-bono accommodations for representation of the disadvantaged.
Mrs. Frick is survived by one son, Bradley Michael Frick of Pensacola; her father, Paul T. Landry Jr. of Donaldsonville; two brothers, Paul T. Landry III of Donaldsonville and Lt. Col. Edmond N. Landry of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Evelyn Renee Landry and Joan Elizabeth Landry, both of Baton Rouge; three neices; and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Roques Landry.
