Irma B. Richard

Services for Mrs. Edwin Richard, 86, the former Irma Broussard, will begin 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia, with the Rev. Daniel Picard officiating. interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary at David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday until time of services.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Richard died at 10:32 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital.

She was a retired supervisor, having worked for Trappey's for many years.

She is survived by her son, James C. Dorsey Jr. of Broussard, and one brother, Sullie Broussard of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Richard, her parents, Simon Broussard and Zulma Aucoin Broussard, one brother, Jimmy Broussard, and three sisters, Ella Dore, Therese Oloughlin and Eunice Pratt.

Pallbearers will be Michael Boutte, James Dorsey Jr., Michael Dorsey, Regan Lancon, Cory Theriot and George Broussard.

The David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Elton J. Bodin

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Graveside services for Elton Joseph Bodin, 75, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at the Heritage Chapel Funeral Home.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Tuscaloosa, Mr. Bodin died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at his residence.

He was retired from Reichhold Chemical, a member of the Circlewood Baptist Church, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of the 2nd Armored Division Association of "Hell on Wheels," Company "D".

Mr. Bodin is survived by his wife, Opal H. Bodin of Tuscaloosa; one son, Steve J. Bodin and his wife, Mary Beth of Tuscaloosa; one daughter, Cecile B. McDonald and her husband, Larry McDonald of Tuscaloosa; one brother, Donald Bodin and his wife Joyce of New Iberia; five sisters, Wilda Arceneaux, Alma Barras, Gladys Tracy, Lois Segura and her husband Alton, and Elvie Segura and her husband Fred, all of New Iberia; five grandchildren, Vince Bodin and his wife, Heidi of Jackson , Miss., Brian Bodin, Doug Bodin, Kevin McDonald and Kerry McDonald, all of Tuscaloosa; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Victor and Essie Harless; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernand J. Bodin and Daisy B. Bodin; and two sisters, Audrey LeBlanc and Sadie Rogers.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, and nephews, Kenny LeBlanc and Barry Harless.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Head Jr., Mr. Joe L. Hutt, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lee Hutt, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Mack Hutt, Ms. Maxine McDonald and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fondren, Marshall Fields, Mr. Hary Hutt, Ms. Ruby Parham, Naomi Powell, Mr. and Mrs. Jere Ridley, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Jackson , Mr. and Mrs. Larry Walker, neighbors of Fairmont Drive, Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. Ross Vaughn, Retired employees of Reichhold Chemical and special little ones, Alex Lawley and Jacob Boyd.

The Heritage Chapel Funeral Home of Tuscaloosa is in charge of arrangements. 

Thelma G. LeJeune

JEANERETTE - Services for Mrs. Berwick F. LeJeune, 85, the former Thelma Guillotte, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David and Landry Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a. m. Saturday.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. LeJeune died at 6:39 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center.

She was a housewife.

Mrs. LeJeune is survived by four sons, Berwick and his wife, JoAnn LeJeune, Gerald and his wife, Marjorie LeJeune, Leon and his wife, Jeannine LeJeune, and Norbert LeJeune, all of Jeanerette; one daughter, Mrs. Oniel (Nadra) LeJeune LeBlanc of Jeanerette; two sisters, Mary Savoy and Emerite Hebert, both of Jeanerette; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Berwick F. LeJeune; her parents, Ulysse and Zilda Hebert Guillotte Sr.; one brother, Ulysse Guillotte Jr.; and two sisters, Gertrude Bergeron and Mabel Broussard.

Pallbearers will be David LeJeune, Bryan LeJeune, Christopher LeJeune, Joe LeJeune, Paul LeJeune and Ricky LeJeune.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Nelson Boudreaux, Dr. Steven Boudreaux, Dr. Jimmy Falterman Jr., Denny LeJeune, Evan LeJeune, Jeff LeJeune, Lyle LeJeune and Joe LeJeune Jr.

The David and Landry Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.

Mabel Patin

LAFAYETTE - Services for Mabel Patin, 81, the former Mabel Harson will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist with the Monsignor Glen Provost officiating. Lisa Roy, accompanied on the organ by Thomas Niel, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace," "On Eagles' Wings," and "The Lord's Prayer." interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary at Martin and Castille Funeral Home, which will reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday.

A native of Duson and resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Patin died at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Cathedral of St. John Catholic Community.

Mrs. Patin is survived by one son, Carrol Patin of New Iberia; two daughters, Margaret Quirk of Opelousas and Lorraine Davis of Youngsville; and 10 grandchildren, Andrea Broussard, Lisa Mallet, Carol Keenze, Christopher Patin, William Taylor , Katherine Gardner, Thomas Quirk, Richard Quirk, Stanley Sibille and Douglas Sibille.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Patin; her parents, Mayo and Alice Hutchinson Harson Sr.; two brothers, Dick Harson and Mayo Harson Jr.; two sisters, Mildred Guidry and Grace Gannard; and one grandchild, Deborah Taylor .

The Martin and Castille Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.

Clovis Domingues

ST. MARTINVILLE - Services for Clovis Domingues, 80, will begin at 2 p.m. today at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home until the time of services.

A resident of Cypress Island, Mr. Domingues died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Mr. Dominques was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and a member of the VFW and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Una Delahoussaye Domingues of Cypress Island; one sister, Flo Patout of New Iberia; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Domingues was preceded in death by six brothers, Lloyd Domingues, Charles Domingues, Clerpha Domingues, Luke Domingues, Robert Domingues and Clopha Domingues; and three sisters, Agnes Landry, Evelyn Hebert and Aline Hebert.

The Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.

Maywood R. Borel

HOUSTON - Services for Maywood Ransonet Borel, 77, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Earthman Resthaven Chapel, 13102 North Freeway, with the Rev. John Cahoon officiating. interment will be in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Borel died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998.

She and her husband owned and operated Borel's Bakery in Bellaire for 30 years.

Mrs. Borel is survived by two daughters, Joan Borel of Estes Park, Colo. and Carol Winter and her husband, John of San Antonio; one brother, Levi Ransonet of Loreauville; three grandchildren, David Russo, West Winter and John Winter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Emil Borel.

The Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of arrangements.

Shirley R. Stevens

Services for Mrs. Irvin Stevens Sr., 66, the former Shirley Romero, will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Picard officiating. interment will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7:30 p.m. rosary at David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Stevens died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at her residence.

She was a housewife.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by her husband, Irvin Stevens Sr. of New Iberia; three sons, Blayne Stevens, Kyle Stevens and Irvin Stevens Jr., all of New Iberia; two daughters, Sandra Stevens Derouen and Dean Stevens Lancon, both of New Iberia; four half brothers, Kevin Romero of Foxworth, Miss., Reynold Romero of Val Rico, Fla., Kirk Romero and Rodney Romero, both of New Iberia; two sisters, Joyce Bourque of Broussard and Pearlie Romero of New Iberia; four half sisters, Deborah Argus of Pineville, Wanda Romero, Melinda Taylor and Karen Trim, all of New Iberia; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicol and Thelma Comeaux Romero; three brothers, Jacob Romero, Nelson Romero and Nicol Romero Jr.; two sisters, Louella George and Nell Romero; and one grandson, Donovan Davidson.

Pallbearers will be Jason Stevens, Todd Derouen, Doug Lancon, Kirk Romero, Max Stevens and Blayne Stevens Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
