Emic H. Annaloro

Services for Emic "Mickey" Hebert Annaloro, 72, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at David Funeral Home with the Rev. William Rogalla officiating. interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-10 p.m. today with a 7:30 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.

A native of Jefferson Island, former resident of New Iberia and resident of Meraux, Mrs. Annaloro died at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Chalmette Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and was very active with senior citizens activities.

Mrs. Annaloro is survived by one son, Cecile Annaloro of Poplarville, Miss.; two daughters, Barbara Bell of Covington and Judy Annaloro Hebert of New Orleans; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Sonnier Hebert; and one brother, Hilaire Hebert; and one sister, Mrs. Evest (Edmay) Hebert.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

James J. Stoltz

Services for James Joseph Stoltz, 70, will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with the Rev. Conley Bertrand officiating. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 3-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Stoltz died at 10:18 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at his residence.

He retired from Shell Oil after 30 years of service as the foreman of the production department. Mr. Stoltz was a former Little League coach at Rynella Little League Park, an avid golfer and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Stoltz is survived by his wife, Lena Dubois Stoltz of New Iberia; two sons, Gene Stoltz of Sarahland, Ala., and Mark Stoltz of New Iberia; one sister, Elaine Neal of New Iberia; one brother, Jules "Stumpy" Stoltz of New Iberia; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster Stoltz and Alma Rivette Stoltz; and one sister, Dorothy Stoltz.

Pallbearers will be Randy Breaux, Pat Byler, Ronnie Dartez, Jimmy Hebert, Clayton Pellerin and Ernie Russo.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Martha A. Fontenette

Services for Martha Fontenette, 78, the former Martha Antoine, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas James officiating. interment will be in the St. Matthew Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday with a 9:30 a.m. rosary at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel.

A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia for 52 years, Mrs. Fontenette died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at her residence following a brief illness.

She is survived by two sons, Roland Fontenette Jr. and James Antoine, both of New Iberia; one daughter, Lena F. Lopez of New Iberia; two sisters, Eunice J. Porter of Lafayette and Stella A. Calligan of New Iberia; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fontenette was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Antoine Sr. and Alzina B. Antoine; two brothers, Louis Antoine Jr. and Wilson Antoine; and one sister, Ester Antoine.

Pallbearers will be James Antione, Herbert Antione, Roy Antione, Roland Fontenette Jr., Donald Lopez Jr. and Mark Calligan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Calligan, Troy Calligan, Martin Calligan, Nelson Fuselier, Donald Lopez Sr., Donald Antione, Peter Antione, Ray Antione, Matthew Demochette, Thomas Jones Jr. and Robert "Bo" White .

The Journet and Bolden Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Florabelle F. Berges

Services for Mrs. Louis E. Berges, 80, the former Florabelle "Tuck" Frenzel, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Monsignor Guy LeMoine officiating. interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today with a 7:15 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday until the time of services.

A native of Vinton and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Berges died at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at a New Iberia hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Louis E. Berges of New Iberia; two sons, Robert Berges of Houston and Larry Berges of New Iberia; one daughter, Suzanne B. Woods of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Floramye "Nip" F. LeCompte of New Iberia; and four grandchildren, Jeremey Berges and Christine Berges, both of New Iberia, Sarah Berges and Mary Elizabeth Berges, both of Houston.

Mrs. Berges was preceded in death by her parents, August and Cecile Lasserre Frenzel; and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Vickie Viator, P.O. Box 13334, New Iberia, La. 70560.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

Alice S. Touchet

ABBEVILLE - Services for Mrs. Cledus Touchet, 93, the former Alice Simon, will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church. interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David and Hebert Funeral Home, which will remain open all night.

A native of Leroy and resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Touchet died at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Abbeville General Hospital.

The David and Hebert Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements.

Westley G. Gabriel

SORRELL - Services for Westley Gable Gabriel, 84, were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Moses Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Jordan officiating. interment was in the Sorrell Cemetery.

Mr. Gabriel died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He is survived by two daughters, Louise G. Hoskins and Dorothy M. Gabriel, both of Sorrell; five sisters, Cora Jackson and Clara G. Mathews, both of Sorrell, Francis Milton of Houston, Dorothy White of Port Arthur, Texas , and Doretha Wilson of Beaumont, Texas ; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gabriel was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers; and three sisters.

The Otis Funeral Home of Franklin was in charge of arrangements.

Mable Simms

Services for Mable Simms, 78, the former Mable Lewis, will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas James officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel, which will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Friday.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Simms died at 3:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Dauterive Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter.

Mrs. Simms is survived by her companion, John Adam Polk of New Iberia; two sons, retired Master Sgt. Lee Gilbert Simms Jr. of Riverside, Calif., and Clarence Simms of New Orleans; one brother, Walter D. Batiste of San Francisco; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Lewis and Mary Alice Owens.

Pallbearers will be friends and family members.

Rapheal Fontenette

Services for Rapheal "Ray" Fontenette, 41, will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas James officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel, which will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Friday.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Fontenette died at 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Lafayette General Hospital.

He is survived by his father, Vick Donald Fontenette of St. Martinville; one son, Rapheal Fontenette Jr. of Houston; four brothers, Vick Fontenette Jr., Gabriel Fontenette, Michael Fontenette and Fabian Fontenette, all Houston; 10 sisters, Adoria F. Charles, Bridget Fontenette, Cynthia F. Davis and Rose Mary Fontenot, all of Houston, Karen Fontenette of Angelton, Texas , Troyetta Fontenette and Glenda Fontenette both of New Iberia, Catherine Gilliam of Charles County, Md., Felicia Johnston of Detroit and Ann England of Fahasan, Fla.

Mr. Fontenette was preceded in death by his mother, Leotha Jacquet Fontenette.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Russell J. Girard

Memorial services for Russell James Girard, 23, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Girard died at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998.
