Allan D. Hanks Sr.
September 1, 1929 - September 14, 2004
Today we gather to bless our brother, father and grandfather on his trip to heaven. We ask our family and friends to come together with us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 Main St., Tomball, Texas , for our last visit together.
Our departed leaves behind his beloved wife, Beatrice Topham Hanks, of 50 years; and four loving and devoted children, Crystal Lynn Hanks, Connie Marie Hanks Stiles, Allan Delmar Hanks Jr. and Traci Hanks Sibille. His life was blessed with honorary sons, Curtis Lee Stiles Sr., Philippe Sibille and Larry Kilmer; as well as his precious grandchildren, Curtis Lee Stiles Jr., Monica Marie Stiles and Casey Kevin Markey; a brother, Robert Charles Hanks and his wife, Dixie Lee; his sister-in-law, Eunice Davis, and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Hanks Sr. and Lillie Leora Holt Davis Hanks; brothers, Russell Hanks Jr. and Leon Davis; and sister, Velda Hanks Wilson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept 18, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Klein Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 9714 FM 2920, Spring, Texas .
The family also requests that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, Texas , (218) 351-7233.

Richard Hartman, 72, a native and resident of Patterson, died Monday at 3:50 p.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Patterson Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Annie H. Hartman of Patterson; four sons, Raymond Hartman, Mark Hartman and Leslie Hartman, all of Patterson, and Aaron Hartman of Baldwin; two daughters, Karen Hartman and Janet Hartman, both of Patterson; two brothers, Al “Cleaudrey Hartman and Michael Hartman, both of Patterson; two sisters, Doris Hartman-Darnell of Patterson and Gladys Amhan of Tucson, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two babies, a sister and four brothers.
Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

David Charles Matte, 45, a native of Ville Platte and resident of Duson, died Tuesday in Lafayette Parish.
Funeral services were held this morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial was a private ceremony.
He is survived by his mother, Ursula Bordelon Matte, of Ville Platte; his mother’s fiance, Harold Fauthree of Ville Platte; one stepson, Kevin Underwood of Rayne; one stepdaughter, Amanda Underwood of California; two brothers, John Blaine Matte of Ville Platte and James Farley Matte of Bayou Vista; and one sister, Lori Ann Matte of Breaux Bridge.
LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.

Horace Robinson Jr., 53, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Friday at 4:40 a.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home chapel.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. interment will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Alexis Robinson of Morgan City; two brothers, Ronald Robinson of Morgan City and Johnel Robinson of New Orleans; and one sister, Carol Jean Robinson-Lallande of Morgan City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.

Margie Pipsair “Nanny” Richard, 80, a native and resident of Belle River, died Thursday at 2:22 p.m. in Belle River.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and again Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part with interment in the church mausoleum. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert Rogers.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ashley Richard of Belle River, and Frank Richard and his wife, Monica, of Prairieville; one sister, Molly P. Gros of Belle River; a niece, Melina G. Michel of Belle River; a nephew, Oudrey J. Gros Jr. of Belle River; four great-nephews; and a great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adley J. Richard; an infant son, Adley J. Richard Jr.; and her parents, Melina Leonard Pipsair and Frank Pipsair.
Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part is in charge of the arrangements.

Dewitt “Dee” Wilson Lamb Jr., 54, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Amelia, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas .
He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia.
Dee served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict and was honorably discharged as an E4 Corporal.
Dee was the owner of Dee’s Custom Signs in Amelia where he brought out his talent and love for art. He was an outgoing, loving man that had a wonderful sense of humor and love for people. He never knew a stranger and was willing to help anyone who needed him.
He loved LSU football and music, especially “swamp pop.” He loved to go deer hunting with his son, Jared, at their camp in Natchez, Miss., and loved to barbecue for his friends and family.
Dee loved life and lived it to the fullest, but above all that he loved, nothing was more dear to him than his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was the son of the late Dewitt Lamb Sr. and the late Aline Landry Lamb.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 31 years, Marlene Lamb of Amelia; his son, Jared Paul Lamb and his wife, Tammy, of Amelia; three sisters, Gertrude Prestenbach and her husband, Pete, of Morgan City, Aline Bertrand and her husband, Jerome, and Diane Soileau and her husband, Harris Sr., all of Bayou Vista; four brothers, Wilson Acosta and his wife, Fedora, of Patterson, and Leonard Acosta and his wife, Ella Mae, Jerry Acosta and his wife, DeeDee, and Junius Acosta and his wife, Ella, all of Stephensville; and two grandchildren, Hallie Billiot of Stephensville and Alexis Lamb of Amelia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepfather, Norris Richard; and a sister, Doris Dugas.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
Funeral services, with the Rev. Monsignor Donald Ledet officiating, will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
interment will be at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Amelia, with full military honors given by the East St. Mary Parish Funeral Squad in honor of their fallen comrade.

Ernest T. Russell, 104, a resident of Morgan City, born May 25, 1900, in Brookhaven, Miss., Passed away Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004.
Visitation will be observed Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Jack Russell of Morgan City; his two daughters, Barbara Russell of Morgan City and Vivian Spinella of Fort Worth, Texas ; his sister, Alpha Perrin of Ponchatoula; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annie Spangler Russell; two brothers, five sisters, one daughter and one grandson.
Hargrave Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Rilma Jarrett Daigle, 79, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, born Feb. 20, 1925, to her parents, the late William and Sylvia Jarrett, Passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, in Lafayette.
Ms. Rilma was a faithful parishioner and bookkeeper for Holy Cross Catholic Church for six years, was a volunteer for the Ladies Auxiliary at Teche Regional Medical Center, a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Massabielle 1134, VFW Auxiliary, a member of the Holy Cross Altar Society and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Visitation will be observed today at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary recited by the Catholic Daughters. A ceremony will be presented at 7:30 p.m. by the VFW and another ceremony will be presented at 8 p.m. by the American Legion Auxiliary.
Visitation will resume Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with another rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Entombment will follow in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Fernand P. Daigle Jr. of Morgan City; her three sons, William “Billy” Daigle of Virginia Beach, Va., Lanny Daigle of Baton Rouge and Jerry Daigle of Abbeville; her sister, Aline Mayon of Gibson; and her grandchildren, Rachel Holmes of Virginia Beach, Sylvia Frashier of Baton Rouge, Angie Welch of Liberty, Miss., Amie Daigle of Lafayette, and Lance Cpl. Jarrett Daigle of Lafayette.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Donald P. Rau, 61, a native of New Orleans and resident of Labadieville, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at 9.05 a.m. at his residence in Labadieville.
Visitation was today, Aug. 16, 2004, from 10 a.m. to noon at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Funeral services were at noon today at the funeral home with Father Benny officiating.
interment followed in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fangue Rau; he is the father of Angelle Rau Powell, Peter Rau and Heidi Rau; and the stepfather of Anna S. Aloisio and Jack A. Stansbury Jr. He also is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Gail Rau Lutz, Mrs. Patricia Rau Sokol and Mrs. Glenn Rau Jenniskens; and his brother, William A. Rau Jr.
He is the grandfather of Lauren Rau, Kayla Stansbury, Katherine Stansbury, Devin Powell, Cereline Powell, Cassie Kay Aloisio, Ashlyn Reaux, Caitlyn Reaux, Jacob Stansbury, Joshua Stansbury, Emily Comeaux, Derek Landry, Beth Landry and Matthew Landry.
He was the son of the late Florestine Pitre and William A. Rau Sr.
Donald Rau was a 35-year retiree of J. Ray McDermott Inc.

Joseph Maurice “Joe” Giandelone, 90, a native of Morgan City and resident of Labadieville, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, at his residence in Labadieville.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Joe loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was the owner of “Joe’s Barber Shop” in Morgan City for over 54 years, taking pride in his work and his love for the community. Joe’s passion for barbering lives on in his son Johnny of “Johnny’s Barber Shop.”
Joe always will be remembered as a kind, outgoing and loving person that never knew a stranger and was willing to help anyone who needed him. He was an eight-time champion in the Morgan City Walk-A-Thon. He also loved boxing, not only as a spectator but as a boxer himself.
Above all that he loved in life, nothing compared to the love he had for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him, and each and every life he touched.
He was the son of the late Giovanni Giandelone and the late Maria Grizzaffi Giandelone.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years, Bernice Giandelone; two sons, Johnny Giandelone and his wife, Fern, of Morgan City, and Benny Giandelone and his wife, Gale, of Bayou L’Ourse; five grandchildren, Joey Giandelone, Janet Broussard, Johnny Giandelone Jr., Lane Giandelone and Kirk Giandelone; and six great-grandchildren, Jonie Giandelone, Jaci Giandelone, Jamee Giandelone, Joey Giandelone, Hanna Giandelone and Jenna Giandelone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Maurice Giandelone and Angelo Giandelone; and one sister, Mary Giandelone.
Pallbearers to serve will be Johnny Giandelone, Benny Giandelone, Johnny Giandelone Jr., Joey Giandelone, Lane Giandelone and Kirk Giandelone.
The family will receive friends from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary to be held at 9:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, Father Benny officiating. interment will be at Morgan City Cemetery.
Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
