Hayman J. Pitre
Hayman J. Pitre, 76, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999.
Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Alzina Eymard Pitre; one son, Michael G. Pitre and wife, Cathy Foster Pitre; one brother, Bertman Pitre; four sisters, Clara Vegas, Verline Gisclair, Janet Lafont and Mabel Galjour; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Alzina Danos Pitre; and one brother, Harold "T-Brown" Plaisance.
He was a lifelong oyster fisherman, the owner of Captain Hayman Oyster Company, a member of Louisiana Oyster Growers Association, a member of the Holy Name Society, a fourth-degree knight in the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Junius Paul Sauce
Junius Paul Sauce, 64, a native of Morgan City and resident of Gibson, died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Wake services will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic church in Morgan City, with interment in Morgan City Mausoleum.
He is survived by two sons, Rocky and Keith Sauce, both of Gibson; one daughter, Jodie Sauce of Gibson; two brothers, Jimmy Sauce of Bayou Vista, and Darcy Sauce of California; five sisters, Eula Mae Billiot and Betty Lovell, both of Franklin, Dorothy Solar of Covington, Audrey Rhodes of Morgan City, and Caroline Rodrigue of Stephensville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Chauvin Sauce; his parents, Wilfred and Rose Sauce; three brothers, D.J., E.E. and Dalton Sauce; and one sister, Lena Mitchell.
He was a member of the National Guard and a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Lawrence P. Martin
Lawrence P. Martin, 87, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church of Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Norris Martin Sr. and Michael Martin Sr.; three daughters, Lorraine M. Pierce, Betty Ann M. Loupe and Pamela M. Falgout; two brothers, Clarence Martin and Murphy Martin; one sister, Shirley Folse; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Melancon Martin; his parents, Joachim and Melodia Autin Martin; one son, Lawrence Martin Jr.; three brothers, Louis "Joe" Martin, Roland "Roy" Martin and Nolan Martin; one sister, Verna M. Arcement; two grandchildren, not named; and one great-grandchild, not named.
He was a member of the Woodmen of the World, a past member of Louisiana Oyster Association and a Catholic.
Edna Walker Parr
Edna Walker Parr, 98, a native of Choctaw and resident of Lockport, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery
in Thibodaux.
She is survived by one son, John W. Parr; one daughter, Emma Parr Foret; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile E. Parr; her parents, Samuel and Emma Ordoyne Walker; two sons, Emile J. Parr and Elmer Earl Parr; and one brother, Louis Walker.
Mark Duane Whiteaker
Mark Duane Whiteaker, 43, a resident of Meridian, Miss., died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999.
A graveside service was held Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He is survived by two brothers, Larry F. Whiteaker of Starkville, Miss., and Isaac L. Whiteaker of Lafayette, Ind.; three sisters, Roberta Crowe and Sharon Boes, both of Meridian and Sandra Swisher of Starkville; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorene and Robert Whiteaker; and two brothers, Robert Dean Whiteaker and Gregory Eugene Whiteaker.
He was a chef on an offshore rig for Energy Catering Service in Houma.

Frances Louise Boudreaux
Frances Louise Boudreaux, 77, a native of Osyka, Miss., and resident of Houma, died at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 1999.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Osyka Cemetery
in Osyka.
She is survived by three sons, Curtis and Wayne Taylor , both of Houma, and Don Taylor of New Roads; one daughter, Sandra T. Nutter of Hammond; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Boudreaux; her parents, Jessie Thoral and Mamie Owen Ferrell; one son, James F. Smith; and one brother, Jamie Ferrell.
She was a volunteer for the Council on Aging at Chabert Medical Center.
Medric F. Bolotte
Medric F. Bolotte, 90, a native and resident of Labadieville, died at 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 1999.

He is survived by one son, Lloyd J. Bolotte; three daughters, Ida Mae B. Blanchard, Audrey B. Latour and Brenda B. Amedee; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Barras Bolotte; his parents, Estant and Cecile Mire Bolotte; four brothers, Whitmel, Murphy, Edwin and Shelby Bolotte; and three sisters, Lecta Boudreaux, Inez Aucoin and Irene Alleman.
Rena Pitre LeBlanc
Rena Pitre LeBlanc , 71, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Raceland, died at 4:39 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by four sons, Ronnie, Wayne, David and Jessie LeBlanc Jr.; four daughters, Carolyn Delahoussaye, Nancy Hage, Kathleen Robichaux and Tammy Plaisance; one sister, Ethel Foret; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie J. LeBlanc Sr.; her parents, Gaston and Alice Aupied Pitre; four brothers, Nolan, Dewey, Lloyd and Malvin Pitre Sr.; and one sister, Viola Pertuit.
She was a licensed practical nurse, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church.
Robert McGuire
Robert McGuire, 59, a native and resident of Houma, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New St. Matthew's Baptist Church, with burial in Crescent Farm Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Pearlie B. McGuire; three sons, Roy, Marvin L. and Robert McGuire Jr.; two daughters, Joyce A. and Kathy O. McGuire; three sisters, Amy Woolens, Ora Lee McGuire and Maisie Bateast; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Sims and Berwick McGuire Sr.; one son, Randy McGuire; two brothers, Berwick Jr. and Milton McGuire Sr.; and two sisters, Idell Ballard and Olivia Francis.
He was a truck driver for Solid Waste Company, a singer with the Southern Travelers and a member of New St. Matthew's Baptist Church.

Daniel Joseph "Sam" Samanie, 50, a native of Houma and resident of Schriever, died at 4:43 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Ordoyne Samanie; his mother, Joyce LeBlanc Samanie; one son, Lyn O. Samanie; one daughter, Danielle Marie Samanie; two brothers, Bruce L. Jr. and Dean P. Samanie Jr.; three sisters, Judy S. Lirette, Pam S. Webre and Sherry Samanie; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Leon Samanie Sr..
He was an employee of J. Ray McDermott Inc. for 23 years and a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church.
