Billy Wade Price
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Billy Wade Price, 43, who died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at his residence.
Survivors include his mother, Yvonne Comeaux Price, of Rayne; one brother, James Price and wife Tessa, of Rayne; two sisters, Joni Yanarella and husband Daniel, of Lafayette, and Kristine Meche and husband Troy, of Rayne; one nephew, Jesse Yanarella; five nieces, Jade and Kelli Meche, Ashley and Taylor Price, Haley Yanarella; and one great-niece, Saylor Daigle.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Price; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Schexnider, maternal grandfather, Lannis Comeaux, paternal grandparents, Lillie and Tom Price; one great- niece, Parker Daigle; and a uncle, James Comeaux.
A rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. Thursday until 10:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m until service time.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

Eula Marie Thibodeaux
Funeral service were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday April 1, 2006 at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Eula Marie Thibodeaux, 92 who died Friday, March 31, 2006 at 2:00 a.m. at her residence.
interment was in St. Joseph Cemtery #2.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Thibodeaux and wife Adele, of Mire; one sister, Ella Mae Pete, of Eunice; five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Thibodeaux; parents, Eugene Thibodeaux and Ephmae Miller Thibodeaux; four brothers and two sisters.
A rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday.
The family requested that the visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. Friday until 10:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

Shirley Jacquneaux Richard
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Martin Leonards officiating, for Shirley Jacquneaux Richard, 58, of Carencro, who died at 4:23 a.m.Sunday, April 2, 2006, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m Monday, April 3, in the funeral home chapel.
Visitation was observed Monday from 1 to 10 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Burial was in the St. Theresa Cemetery in Duson.
She is survived by two sons, Shannon Richard and Coby Richard, both of Carencro; two daughters, Melissa LeBlanc of Lafayette, and Lachel Constantine, Rayne; one stepson, Carl Richard, Beaumont, Texas ; one stepdaughter Marcia Hartnett, Lititze, Penn.; four brothers, Merlin Jacquneaux, Scott, Dale Jacquneaux, Chavin, Harold Jacquneaux, Carencro, and Carroll Jacquneaux, Iota; four sisters, Dee Hanks, Duson, Mary Touchet, Carencro and Joe Ann Duhon and Sandra Trahan, both of Duson; seven grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Ms. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Filton Richard; and parents Mr. Overland and Mrs. Azalie Menard Jacquneaux.
Pallbearers were Shannon and Coby Richard, Derrell Duhon, Damon and Tyson Trahan and Daniel Hanks, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Constantine, Jason LeBlanc , Lonnie DeRouen, and Matthew LeBlanc .Her brothers, nephews and great-nephews were also honorary pallbearers.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of arrangements.

Winnie Breaux Menard
Funeral services were held Friday, March 17, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in the Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Winnie Breaux Menard, 100, who died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at the Rayne Guest Home.
Survivors included numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Elta Cormier and Bertha Daniels; and one son, Walter Cormier; and her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Leger Breaux.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne

Elizabeth Foreman Hayes
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Elizabeth Foreman Hayes, 86, who died Saturday, August 26, 2006, at 12:20 p.m. at American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Rev. Donald Patrick, pastor of First Church of the Nazerene, officiated for the services.
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
The family requested visiting hours be observed Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to service time.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice H. Truax and her husband Walter of Egan, and Linda H. Bertrand and her husband George of Crowley; one son, James Hayes and his wife Carol of Crowley; twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Hayes; her parents, Alcee and Mary Hoffpauir Foreman; one great-grandchild, Brice Bertrand; five brothers and six sisters.
Arrangements were entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, 301 N. Ave. F, Crowley, 337-783-3313, www.geesey-ferguson.com.

Clara Jane “Fats” Edwards Bossier
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, in the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness in Crowley, with the Rev. Ron Smith officiating, for Ms. Clara Jane “Fats” Edwards Bossier, 70, of Rayne, who died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, in Our Lay of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Burial was in the Acadia Rest Haven Cemetery in Crowley.
Visitation was observed from 9 a.m. at the church until time of services.
She is survived by seven daughters, Marie Bossier, Sarah Bossier, and Jill Rochon, all of Rayne, Lori Bossier, Clara Hart, both of Morgan City, and Opal Gray and Mattie Champagn, both of Port Arthur, Texas ; four sons, Kevin Bossier, Rayne, Larry Edwards, Sr., Beaumont, Texas , and Deroy Bercier and Bayou Bercier, boht of Port Arthur, Texas ; two sisters, Ollie Wiley, Houston, Texas , and Rose Figaro, Dallas, Texas ; two brothers, Vorcie Edwrds, Jr., and Steve Edwards, both of Beaumont, Texas ; 41 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bossier was preceded in death by her husband, Vorice Bossier, Sr.; three sons, Arthur Bossier, Sr., Herrell Bercier and Voohries Bossier, Jr.; one daughter, Orelia Jackson ; and her parents, Vorice and Clara Jackson Edwards, Sr.
Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Viola “Dod” Richard
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Viola “Dod” Guidry Richard, 92, who died August 27, 2006, at Crowley Guest Home.
Fr. Matthew Higginboth-am officiated for the services.
The family requested visiting hours be held Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley.
interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Loula Cooper-Meche and her husband Emery of Crowley; one son, Russell A. Richard of Crowley; two grandchildren, Gina Cooper Neumeyer of Crowley; and Cherie Cooper Smith of Madison, Wis.; one great-granddaughter, Katie Neumeyer of Crowley; and one sister, Yolande LeBlanc of Rayne.
Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson “Yuse” Richard; her parents, Mayonce and Ozite Dupuis Guidry; two sisters, Mary Louise Oglesby; and Agnes Blanchard; and one brother, John Harry Guidry.
Pallbearers were David Guidry, John Guidry, Raphael Meche, Troy Meche, Mike Smith, and Jason Schmaltz.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve DeMarb, Terry, Ricky, Mark, and Tommy Guidry.
Ron Moreau performed the music for the funeral Mass.

Alma Fae Stutes Harrington
LETTSWORTH: Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Lettsworth Protestant Methodist Church for Alma Mae Stutes Harrington, 81-years-old, who, after a lengthy illness, Passed away at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at the New Roads Hospital.
Visitation was observed at the Euscuede Funeral Home in Lettsworth Friday, August 25, 2006, from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, August 26, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
The Rev. Glenn Mayeaux officiated at the funeral services.
interment was held Saturday, August 26, at 1 p.m. at Indian Bayou United Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrington was born July 8, 1925, in Lafayette Parish. After residing in Rayne for many years, she moved to Lettsworth, La., where she lived the last 17 years.
Mrs. Harrington is survived by one son, Burton Keith Harrington, Houston, Texas ; one sister, Gayle Stutes Foreman, Rayne; two sisters-in-law, Lena Harrington and Doy Christian; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harrington was proceeded in death by her daughter, Trudy Lynn Harrington; her parents, Georgie and Pierre Stutes; her sister, Wilda Stutes Guillot; two brothers, Murry and Donald “Brother” Stutes; a brother-in-law, Preston Guillot; and a godchild, Linda Fay Guillot.
Ms. Fae was a long-time resident of Rayne and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She moved to Lettsworth to live and manage her farms.
She was president of Capitol Land Company and a personal financial investor.
Fae never gave up her subscriptions to the two Rayne newspapers. She kept a close watch on who and what went on in Rayne.
Euscuede Funeral Home of Mansura, La., was in charge of arrangements.
