Funeral services for Mr. Henry Fish, 92, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at Pt. Chapel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Ronald Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Pt. Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, Dec. 10, at the funeral home.
Mr. Fish, a native of Gillham and a resident of Doyline, Passed away, Sunday, Dec. 9, in Minden. He was a retired district gauger for Texas Company. He was a member of Pt. Chapel Assembly of God Church in Doyline.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Delona Fish.
He is survived by his son, Paul Fish and wife Vickie of Doyline; daughter, Wanda Fish Kaiser of Doyline; grandchildren, Dale D. Kaiser and wife Linda of Dallas, Texas , Jay Paul Fish of Conshohocken, Pa., and Melanie Mount and husband Paul of Dallas, Texas ; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be David Mitchell, Richard Mitchell, Donald Fish, Michael Mahock, Melvin P. Stewart, Kenny Stewart, Charles Fish, Billy Fish, Dugan Stewart, Melton Stanley Sr. and Edward H. Kaiser

Billy C. Newer
Funeral services for Mr. Billy C. Newer, 65, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton with Chaplain Debby Woods of Northwest Regional Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Dec. 11, at the funeral home.
Mr. Newer, a resident a Minden, Passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, after battling a lengthy illness. He was born in Kingfisher, Okla., July 31, 1936, and was retired from the oil industry after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Pease Chapel Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. "Bill" Newer, and mother, Ruth Williams Newer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda W. Newer of Minden; daughters, Terri Taylor and husband Gary of Doyline, Jana Gates of Sibley; and son, W.K. "Winky" Newer and wife Kathy of Minden; step-sons, Mark A. Morgan and wife Brenda of Elk City, Okla., and Larry D. Morgan and wife Brenda of Van, Texas ; step-daughter, Tammy Buttitta and husband Joel of Elysian Fields, Texas ; sisters, Barbara Dalke and husband Phil, and Ruth Ann Turner and husband Chuck, all of Hobart, Okla.; one brother, Johnny Newer and wife Pam of Kingfisher; and 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Butch Williams, Jimmy Williams, Gary Haynes, Danny Baker, Wes Moore, and Tommy Benton.
Memorials may be made to Northwest Regional Hospice in Minden.

David Wheeler
Funeral services for Mr. David Wheeler will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at Hopewell AME Church in Princeton. Burial will follow at Filmore Cemetery in Haughton under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.

Helen Elizabeth Stall Morrow
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Stall Morrow, 91, were to be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Dec. 10, 2001, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia with the Rev. Elizabeth Love officiating and the Rev. J. Roddy Taylor assisting. Burial will follow at Gibsland Cemetery.
Mrs. Morrow, a native and resident of Gibsland, Passed away Friday, Dec. 7, in Ruston. She was a retired school teacher, where she taught in Sterlington, Bastrop, Bryceland and in Gibsland. She was a member of Gibsland First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harvey E. Morrow.
She is survived by her nephews, William R. Stall and wife Judy of Gibsland, and James Lamar Stall and wife Johnette of Shreveport; niece, Helen Stall Shatford of Ft. Worth, Texas ; sister-in-law, Helen Davis Stall of Shreveport and a host of numerous relatives.
Pallbearers will be Richard "Dickie" Farnell, John Paul Fields, Eric P. Shatford, Bill Shatford, Steven Salley and John Lee Salley.
Memorials may be made to Gibsland First United Methodist Church.

Alonzo Aaron Nelson
Funeral services for Mr. Alonzo Aaron Nelson will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Northwest 14th District Building in Minden. Burial will follow at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Mr. Nelson, a native and resident of Minden, Passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Minden. He was born the youngest of seven children to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nelson Sr. He confessed Christ at St. James Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until he Passed away. He graduated from Doyline High School in 1979, and was a graduate of NLU in Monroe in 1983, where he received his bachelor of science in accounting. He served in the ministry of music for several area churches from Minden to Shreveport.
He is survived by his parents; brothers, Walter Jr. and wife Helen of Minnesota, Frank and wife Mamie of Kentucky, John and wife Gladys, Tommy and wife Joyce, and Walker and wife Jean; two sisters, Sandra and husband William, Geraldine and husband George, all of Louisiana ; two Godchildren, Xavier and Javeon; and adopted sister, Daphne Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Fern N. Booth
Funeral services for Mrs. Fern N. Booth, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2001, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. David McCormick officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 10 p.m. today, Dec. 6, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Booth, a native of Minden and a resident of Shreveport, Passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, in St. Louis, Mo. She was a lifelong resident of North Louisiana and was a former resident of Minden. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Bossier City.
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe Booth.
She is survived by her husband, Coy Booth of Shreveport, daughter, Carole Mulina and husband Andy of Town and Country, Mo.; grandchildren, Tim, Kathy and Carol Mulina and Mike, Coy and Barbara Booth; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Mulina and Heather Booth; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's church or favorite charity.

Alonzo Aaron Nelson

Mr. Nelson, a native and resident of Minden, Passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Minden. Willie James Robinson
Funeral services for Mr. Willie James Robinson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at St. James Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. T.L. Ward officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kennon and Sons Funeral Home in Minden.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Robinson; mother, Willie Allie Robinson; one step-son, James Nelson; one daughter, Shirley Green; one brother, Charles Robinson; seven sisters, Melvin Parker, Jeweline Smith, Mable Martin, Mollie Rice, Lue Jean Washington , Ethel Lovergne and Gertrude Snowden; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jeffery Revon Stevens
Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery Revon "Jeff" Stevens, 18, will be held noon, Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales with the Rev. George Tharpe officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Prairieville.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 10 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. until noon, Friday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Stevens, a native of Shreveport and a resident of Gonzales, Passed away at 7:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was involved with the Louisiana National Guard Youth Challenge Program.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Americo Perry and Herman Von Stevens; great-grandmother, Amy Maxine Shirley and aunt, Kathy Shirley.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Lynn Perry Jackson of Gonzales; father, Jeffery Revon Stevens Sr. of Livingston; step-father, Eric Jackson of Gonzales; two brothers, David Perry and Daniel Romero of Livingston; three uncles, Clay Perry of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Randy and Mike Stevens of Minden; three aunts, Pamela Henriques of Livingston, Debbie Jacobson of Gulf Breeze, Annette Bowman of Maurepas; grandparents, Larry and Doris Bowling of Livingston, and Patricia Stevens of Minden; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chad Anderson, Matthew, Ben and Robert Shirley, Ronnie Atkins, Shane Braun, Michael Burns and Holt Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Rhoden, Resse Dickerson, Shannon Diggs and Josh Shirley.

Manning C. Christoph
Funeral services for Mr. Manning C. Christoph, 71, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marsalis, with the Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating and the Rev. Skip Palmer assisting. Burial will follow at Tulip Cemetery in Athens under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. today, Dec. 4, at the funeral home.
Mr. Christoph, a native of Tobe, Colo., and a resident of Athens, Passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, at his residence. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Truly Christoph and grandson,, John Christoph.
He is survived by his wife, Edith J. Christoph of Athens; sons, Marvin Christoph and wife Marie of Lufkin, Texas , Steven Christoph of Athens; daughters, Linda Gantt and husband Len of Athens, Marlene Newsom and husband Wayne of Shongaloo, and Christine Christoph of Homer; sisters, Alice Davis of Arcadia, Marilyn Kendall of Las Animas, Colo., and Carolyn Merley of Goldwaite, Texas ; brothers, Albert Christoph of Leadville Colo., Darrell Christoph of Fremont, Calif., Stanley Christoph of Blacksburg S.C., John Christoph of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Gantt, Jeremy Gantt, Kris Darden, Jacob Gantt, Chester Christoph, Tom Newlen, Nathan Jump and Sterling Loyd.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Christian School in Athens.

Octava Williamson Adkins
Funeral services for Mrs. Octava Williamson Adkins, 85, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at West Chapel at First Baptist Church Minden with the Rev. Donald Prince officiating and the Rev. Bill Ichter assisting. Burial followed at Minden Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Adkins, a native of Jefferson Davis County, Miss., and a resident of Minden, Passed away Friday, Nov. 30, in Minden. She was a lifelong resident of Minden, a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where she was the pastor's secretary for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years and very active in the church choir and music program. Known for her love of music, teaching music and piano of 55 years, she was a member of the Minden Study Club and active in other civic and community activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad S. Adkins; parents, N.R. and Vesta Williamson; and her sister, Sarah Lee Williamson.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Adkins of Minden; daughter, Judy Adkins Brown of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jason C. Adkins, Bobby Adkins, Bryan Adkins, Eric Adkins, Trevor A. Brown and W. Conner Brown.

Lynn A. Henry
Memorial services for Lynn A. Henry, 79, will be held in May 2002, at Tulip Cemetery in Athens, with the Rev. John Eric McKellar officiating. Private inurnment to follow services.
Mrs. Henry, a native of Athens, and a resident of Hemet, Calif., Passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, in Hemet. She was a former business administrator for Bridges Clinic in Minden for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Henry Sr.
She is survived by one son, Donald Henry Jr. of Sumter, S.C.; daughter, Lynette Kipp of Hemet; one sister, Nell Bruce of Blanchard, Okla.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Foundation at P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX, 75265-0309.

Dana Claire Davis Miles
Funeral services for Mrs. Dana Claire Davis Miles, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Ryan Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Minden Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. today, Dec. 3, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Miles, a native and former resident of Minden, Passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, in Weatherford, Texas . She was a resident of Weatherford and a Methodist.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Miles of Weatherford; sons, Chip Miles and wife Darla of Weatherford and James Davis Miles and wife Stefanie of Mingus, Texas ; daughter, Mellisa Coffelt and husband Brad of Walnut Springs, Texas ; brother, Dickie Davis and Marsha of Minden; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Miller Andress, Thad Andress, Sam Greenwood, Bob Willet and James Miles.

Larry Wayne Williams Jr.
Graveside services for Mr. Larry Wayne Williams Jr., 36, were to be held at 10 a.m. today, Dec. 3, 2001, at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly with the Rev. Skip Palmer officiating. Services were under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mr. Williams, a native of Minden and a resident of Dubberly most of his life, Passed away Friday, Nov. 30, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Ludy Williams of Dubberly; wife, Glenda Williams of Texas ; one son, Ryan Williams of Minden; one daughter, Jessica Williams of Minden; three step-sons, B.J. Mitchell, Shane Carr and Brandon Carr, all of Texas ; two step-daughters, Angel Arnold of Minden and Codi Reagor of Texas ; two sisters, Lana Dee Hinton of Dubberly and Janie Robinson of Dubberly and a special step-grandson, Hunter Reagor of Texas .
His family will serve as pallbearers.

Roger Evans Batton
Funeral services for Mr. Roger Evans Batton, 58, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 10 p.m. today, Nov. 30, and from 7 a.m. until time of services, Saturday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Batton, a native and resident of Minden, Passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, in Shreveport. He was a compressor mechanic for Duke Energy for 13 1/2 years, and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Maxine Evans Batton.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gayle Barton Batton; sons, Kendall Batton and wife Teresa, and Timothy Batton; daughters, Brandy Mooney and husband John, and Jessica Batton, all of Minden; sister, Karen Batton of Heflin; brother, John W. Batton and wife Judy of Hot Springs, Ark.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Seegers, Coby Barton, Daniel Barton, Ricky Barton, David Ray Barton, Willie Perryman, Steve Perryman and Stanley Perryman.
