Worcester - Irene M. (Daoust) Bourque, 80, of 36 Upsala Street, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, in St. Francis Home.

Her husband, James E. Bourque, died in 1993. She leaves a son, James R. Bourque of Camden, TX; a daughter, Rose F. Tremble of Worcester; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank J. and Edease G. (Thibodeau) Daoust and lived here all her life.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will be in St. Philip’s Cemetery, Grafton. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, in the funeral home.

Patricia Faye Chagnon
August 13, 2003

SHREWSBURY - Patricia F. (Ashcraft) Chagnon, 63, of 85 Commons Dr., died Wednesday August 13 in UMASS – Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, 119 Belmont St., Worcester.
She leaves three sons, Ronald Chagnon, II of Winchendon; Patrick Chagnon of Worcester and Roger Chagnon of Braintree; two daughters, Dolores Chagnon of Worcester and Mary San Nicholas of California; a brother, Raymond C. Ashcraft and a sister, Frances A. Porter both of Fontana, Ca., her longtime companion, Betty J. Neilson of Shrewsbury; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. A daughter, Desiree Westberg, of Worcester died June 20. She was born in Long Beach, Ca., daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth F. (Clark) Ashcraft and later lived in Worcester. She has resided in Shrewbury for 14 years.

Ms. Chagnon was a certified nurses aide many years and worked at St. Francis Home before retiring 15 years ago. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Senior Center.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 20 from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Johns Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Tuesday August 19 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Assumption, 237 Millbury St., Worcester, 01610.

Jennie M. Breault
August 12, 2003

PASCOAG, R.I., - Jennie M. (Grigas) Breault of 660 Reservoir Rd., died August 12 in Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, Worcester.

She leaves her husband, Raymond P. Breault; a brother, Stanley Grigas of Worcester; a sister, Joan Marculitis of Worcester and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Victor Grigas, William Grigas, Edward Grigas and two sisters Ann Dupont and Aldona McPherson. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Michael and Helen (Rapeika) Grigas and was a longtime Paxton resident and has lived in Pascoag for nine years.

Mrs. Breault was an executive secretary at Holy Cross College for several years and before that was an executive secretary for H.D. Brewer Co. She graduated from Ascension High School and the Worcester School of Business Science.

She was a member of St. Casimirs Church, Worcester.

Mrs. Breault with her husband worked with Labrador Retrievers in Retriever Field Trials traveling to competitions held throughout the USA and Canada She successfully qualified for 12 National Championships and was a four time finalist. An avid bowler, she was a league bowler for many years. She also enjoyed gardening.

The funeral will be held on Friday August 15 from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., (www.worcesterfuneral.com) with a Mass of the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 10 a.m. in St. Casimirs Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. A calling hour will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday August 15 in the funeral home. Please omit flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Ma., 01701.

Frederick W. Anderson
July 28, 2003

WORCESTER - Frederick William Anderson, 62, of 71 Delmont Ave., died Monday July 28 in his home.

He leaves his longtime companion, Jayson A. Toupin. He was born and raised in Windsor, Connecticut, son of William and Henrietta (Jarvis) Anderson and had lived here 25 years.

Mr. Anderson was a pharmacist for Healthsouth Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital before he retired. He was graduated from Windsor High School and from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy.

Friends and family will be advised of a memorial service to be held in the near future. There are no calling hours. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 35 Harvard St., Worcester, 01609. Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., is directing service arrangements.

Mary A. Paldino
January 23, 2004

Worcester - Mary A. (Salvidio) Paldino, 85, of 39 First St., died Friday, Jan. 23, in St. Vincent Hospital.

Her husband, William M. Paldino Sr., died in 1991. She leaves a son, former U.S.M.C. Staff Sergeant William M. Paldino Jr.; a daughter, Janice M. Paldino of Worcester; a sister, Rose Budrejko of Worcester; two granddaughters; a great granddaughter; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Pasquale and Rachel (Gabriella) Salvidio, and lived here all her life. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School.

Mrs. Paldino was a Licensed Practical Nurse with the Visiting Nurses Association for many years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel - St. Ann Parish and its Golden Years Club.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 27, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel - St. Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling period will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel - St. Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester, MA 01605.

Richard C. Lavigne
January 25, 2004

WORCESTER-Richard C Lavigne 64 formerly of 240 Belmont Street died January 25th in Milford-Whitinsville Hospital. He is survived by a sister Yvonne M Lagace of Oxford, a nephew two nieces and two grand nieces. Three other brothers predeceased him. He was born in Worcester a son of Armand and Clarice (Harpin) Lavigne was educated at Saint Joseph’s School, and later worked for many years as an Auto Body Repairman, most recently for Harr Ford, retiring in 1985. He had been a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish.

His funeral will be held tomorrow January 27th from The Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home 298 Grafton Street with a Mass at 10am in Saint Joseph’s Church 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 to 9;30 prior to the funeral mass.

The family requests that memorial donations be made in his name to The Center For Living and Working 67 Millbrook Street Worcester Mass.,

Michael A. Stapinski
February 01, 2004

Worcester - Michael A. Stapinski, 45, of 68 Bedford Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 1.

He leaves two brothers, William P. Stapinski of Oxford and Mark S. Stapinski of Worcester; two uncles, Paul F. Stapinski of Worcester and Philip Beinor of Waterford, CT; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of William F. Stapinski and lived here all his life. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.

He was a truck driver for many years for area companies.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

The funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 6, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 20 Walnut St., Wellesley, MA 02481.

Beatrice A. Mason
January 23, 2004

Worcester - Beatrice A. (Paquin) Mason, of Worcester, died Friday.

Her husband, Robert J. Mason Sr., died in 1981. She leaves 5 sons, 2 daughters, a brother, a sister, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.

Minerva A. Hider
February 11, 2004

Worcester - Minerva A. “Minnie” (Rooff) Hider, 90, of Worcester, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the Lutheran Home of Worcester.

Her husband, Charles F. Hider, died in 1974. Her daughter, Catherine J. Hider, died in 1974. She leaves a grandson, Christopher C. Hider of Spencer; a brother, Harold Rooff of California; 2 great grandchildren. Another brother, Phillip Rooff, predeceased her. She was born in Schenectady, New York, and lived here many years. She graduated from Commerce High School.

Mrs. Hider was a receptionist and hygienist for Dr. Lloyd E. Byrd for many years, before retiring in 1970.

She was a member of St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral and the Worcester County Light Opera Club, where she served as their press agent. She was a ward for the democratic party. She was on the board of governors and was a senior volunteer at Friendly House for many years. She enjoyed Bingo.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster St. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friendly House, 36 Wall St., Worcester, MA 01604. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., is directing arrangements.

Madhuri Bhachech
February 05, 2004

DUDLEY - Madhuri G. Bhachech, 84, of Dudley, passed away peacfully on Thursday Feb. 5 in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster. Her husband, Girishbhai Bhachech died in 1995.
She is survived by her children, Kabir Bhachech and his wife Ami of Webster; Dr. Kalpana Acharya and her husband Dr. Ravi Acharya of Dudley; Kshitish Bhachech and his wife Wanda of Georgia; she also leaves one brother, Praful Mehta of New Jersey; two sisters, Nalini Raval and Suhagini Mehta both of India and four grandchildren, Dr. Kruti Acharya and her husband Alpesh Patel, Shreedeep Bhachech, Neeti Acharya and Devan Bhachech.

She had a tremendous strength of spirit that inspired all who knew her. She taught elementary school for 16 years in India and touched the lives of many of her students. She was an amusing storyteller and an avid reader.

The funeral will be held on Monday Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. in Ellen Rogers Kennedy Chapel, Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove St., Worcester. Cremation will follow in Rural Crematory. Calling hours will be held on Sunday Feb. 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester. Memorial donations may be made to Tri Valley Elder Services, 251 Main St., Webster, 01570.

Robert E. MacNevin
April 25, 2004

SPENCER - Robert E. MacNevin, 62, of 141 Main St., died Sunday April 25 in Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, Worcester.
In addition to his children he is survived by a brother, Gary A. MacNevin and a niece, Chelsea MacNevin, both of Ormond Beach, Fl. He was born in Boston, son of Waldo E. and Corice B. (Grant) MacNevin and has lived in Spencer several years.

Mr. MacNevin was an industrial contractor many years before he retired. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on the USS Saratoga. Robert was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved Nascar and the Boston Red Sox s.

Services are omitted. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Veterans Shelter, 69 Grove St., Worcester, 01605. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester is directing arrangements.

Edward F. Hurley
April 27, 2004

WORCESTER - Edward F. Hurley, 96, formerly of Worcester died April 27 in Beaumont of Northbridge.

His wife, Mary P. (Dubuque) Hurley died in 2000. He leaves nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of John L. and Sarah (Kelly) Hurley.

Mr. Hurley was a groundskeeper 18 years for Holy Cross College and retired in 1972.

The funeral will be held on Friday April 30 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Ascension Church, 40 Vernon St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour in the funeral home will be Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Francine M. Gildauskas
March 31, 2004

Worcester - Francine M. (Burokas) Gildauskas, 88, of 14 Dalton St., died Wednesday, March 31, at home.

She leaves her husband of 52 years, Veto C. Gildauskas; a son, William V. Gildauskas; two daughters, Marion F. DeAlba of Enfield, CT, and Francine N. Smith of Worcester; a sister, Mary Sullivan of Dennis; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, William Burokas and Frank Burke, predeceased her. Two sisters, Ruth Smeltzer and Nancy Degnis, also predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Jockim and Mary (Bradauskas) Burokas and lived here most of her life.

Mrs. Gildauskas was an active member of St. Casimir Parish. She was an Avon representative, and enjoyed gardening and floral arranging.

The funeral will be held Saturday, April 3, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 2, in the funeral home.

Contributions in Francine’s may be made to St. Casimir Church, Building Fund, 41 Providence St., Worcester, MA 01604.

Helen J. Zinkus
April 02, 2004

WORCESTER - Helen J. (Grazulis) Zinkus, 95, of 70 Vale St., died Friday April 2 in her home. Her husband, Charles E. Zinkus died in 1986.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister, John, Benjamin, Vincent and Julia Grazulis. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Adam L. and Magdalena (Paulukonis) Grazulis and lived here all her life.

Mrs. Zinkus was a senior clerk typist 18 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Dept. of Public Welfare and retired in 1976. She graduated from Commerce High School and attended Post Business School.

Mrs. Zinkus was a member of St. Casimir’s Church, the Retired State, County and Municipal Employee’s Association and the AARP.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 6 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir’s Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday April 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
