Philip Amara
April 12, 1912 - May 10, 2003
Amara - Philip of Orient Heights East Boston, formerly of the West End of Boston, passed away on Saturday May 10th, 2003 aged 91 years.
Beloved husband of 65 years to Domenica (Imprescia) Amara.
Devoted father of Domenic and his wife Frances of East Boston, and James and his wife Nancy of Bolton, MA.
Dear brother of Josephine Amara and Carmelina Parisi, both of Italy, and the late Francesco Amara. Special brother-in-law of Josephine Amara of Revere.
Cherished grandfather of Philip, Brian, Christine, and Elizabeth Amara. Also lovingly survived by many fond nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) East Boston on Wednesday May 14th at 9:00am. Funeral Mass in St.Joseph-St.Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley Street, East Boston at 10:00am. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Philip was born in Italy in 1912 and came to the USA at a young age. He first lived in Boston's West End before moving to Orient Heights in East Boston. Philip was the former proprietor of Hawley Shoe Repair in High Street, Boston for many years. He was a past member of the St. Dominic Society.

Mary Anderson
October 23, 1910 - June 13, 2003
Anderson - Mary (Mazzarella) of Orient Heights, East Boston on Friday June 13th, 2003 in her 93rd year.
Beloved wife of Albert Anderson.
Dear sister of the late Leonardo "Daddy" Mazzarella, Orlando "Larry" Mazzarella, Lena Marrotta, Ann Carey, Margaret "Peggy" Capone, Ernest Mazzarella and Albert Mazzarella.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass in St. Joseph - St. Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley Street, East Boston at 10:00am. Visiting hours are on Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Mary was born in Boston in 1910 and was a life-long resident of East Boston. She worked for many years as a hand-dipper at Schrafft's Candy in Somerville. Mary passed away at the East Pointe Nursing Home in Chelsea after a brief illness.

Henry W. Andrews

Andrews - Henry "Hank" "Andy" W. Jr. of East Boston suddenly on Wednesday April 18, 2001. Beloved husband of Dolores (Lazzaro) Andrews. Devoted father of William F. of East Boston, Donna Clark of Las Vegas, Marie Buonopane of Saugus, Patricia "Kelly" of East Boston, and Patrick "PJ" of California. Dear brother of Phyllis Ingaciola of North Reading, Virginia Moore of New York, Marion Gambelunghe of Medford, Irene Bowermaster of Revere, Charles Andrews of Illinois, and the late Paul Andrews. Also lovingly survived by 9 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews..
Funeral from the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) East Boston on Monday April 23 at 9:00am. Funeral Mass in St.Joseph-St.Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley Street, East Boston at 10:00am, followed by a collation at 11:00am in the Beachmont VFW, Beachmont. Services will conclude with interment at 3:00pm at the V.A. Massachusetts National Cemetery
in Bourne. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are on Saturday evening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and Sunday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Henry was born in Boston 1934. He served his country in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a Union Painter Local 402, a member of the Franco-American Club and Polish Club, both in Lynn, and a life member of the Beachmont VFW. Henry and Dolores have been happily married for more than 44 years. He died suddenly at the Sand Lake Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Dear sister of Claire Williams of Weymouth, Jean Burnes of Quincy, Janice "Honey" Tracey of Holbrook, and Paula Maccini of Cotuit.
Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Also lovingly survived by many fond nieces and nephews.

Dolores was born in Boston in 1935 and was a life long resident of East Boston. She worked as a banquet waitress for Local 26, and also chief telephone operator at the Colonade Hotel and the Copley Plaza for many years. Dolores passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 68 years of age.
