Shirley M. (Morse) Sweeney, 80 died at the LifeCare Center in West Bridgewater on Saturday after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton Schools. Mrs. Sweeney worked as an Electronics Inspector at Sigma Instrument in Braintree for many years, retiring at age 65. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting hats for babies and patients at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was active at the Senior Center in Stoughton.
She is survived by her sister, Meriel Maher of Bridgewater, and her brother, Scott Morse of FL. She was predeceased by her siblings: Bernard Morse, Bernadette Morse and Mae Eugenia Morse. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 Pond St, Braintree on Tuesday at 11 AM. Friends and relatives are also invited to a reception at her home at 598 Turnpike Stoughton following the services starting at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in her memory may be made to American Diabetes Assn., PO Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131.

MARY T. (SANTOS) PITTA

Mary T. (Santos) Pitta, 78, died at home in Stoughton on Friday, April 8 after a short illness. She was the wife of 56 years of Joseph R. Pitta. A lifelong resident of Stoughton, Mrs. Pitta was a graduate of St. Mary's School and Stoughton High School. She was a housewife at home with her family. Mrs. Pitta was a member of the Portuguese National Club, the Golden Agers, the Stoughton Historical Society and the VFW Women's Auxiliary where she was Past President, all in Stoughton. She was also a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the St. James Prayer Meeting. She volunteered at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton for 27 years and the VA Medical Center in Brockton. In her free time, she enjoyed writing poetry and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pitta is survived by her sons, Joseph W. Pitta of Stoughton, David M. Pitta of Sandwich and Daniel A. Pitta of Raynham, her daughter, Mary M. Pitta of Bridgewater and her brothers, Joseph Saints of DE, Peter Santos of Stoughton and William Santos of Foxboro. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Santos.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 9: 30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10: 15 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Donations in Mary's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20 Speen St, Framingham, 01701 or to Hospice of Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont St., Brockton, 02301. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemtery, Stoughton.

MARIA R. (DUARTE) ESCOBAR

Maria R. (Duarte) Escobar, 69, died at her home in Stoughton on Friday. She was the wife of Antonio L. Escobar. Born in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she had been a resident of Stoughton for over 33 years. She was educated in Portugal. Mrs. Escobar worked as an assembler for Analog Devices in Norwood for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Maria Danue of Plainville, Alvarina Oliveira, Aurelia Oliveira and Julieta Ramos all of Stoughton. She was the sister of Luis Ferreira of Canada, Antonio Ferreira and Maria C. Freitas both of Stoughton and Teresa Ferreira of Portugal. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 5-8 PM. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.

AGNES F. "HONEY" (GLANCY) ZIZZO

Agnes F. "Honey" (Glancy) Zizzo died at home in Stoughton on Thursday, April 7 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Zizzo. Born in Boston, Mrs. Zizzo was educated in Dorchester Schools. She was a resident of Stoughton for 38 years. Mrs. Zizzo was a Nurses Aide at the Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton and the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton for 25 years before retiring in 2000. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, swimming and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her work and taking care of people.
Mrs. Zizzo is survived by her daughters, Donna L. Goodman and her husband Steven, Tammy A. Zizzo and Holly A. Chamberlain and her husband Paul all of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Jonathan A. Goodman, Kyle A. Goodman, Paul T. Chamberlain, Jr. and Taylor E. Chamberlain. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Lawrence Bartlett of Stoughton, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Bartlett and her brother, James Glancy.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations may be made to Stoughton High School, In Memory of Honey Zizzo, 232 Pearl St., Stoughton, 02072.

FRANCIS X. HEFFERNAN, JR.

Francis X. Heffernan, Jr., 54, died at home in Kirkland, WA on January 5, 2005 after a 2 ½ year battle with complications from a massive stroke. Born in Stoughton on September 3, 1950 he was educated in the Stoughton School System and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1968. He attended college at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY where he received his Masters Degree in Architecture in 1975. At the time of his stroke Mr. Heffernan was employed by the world-wide architectural firm of Mulvanny G-2 as a Senior Project Manager.
Mr. Heffernan is survived by his companion and partner of 26 years, Don Platt of Kirkland, WA, his father, Deacon Francis X. Heffernan, Sr. of Stoughton and the Immaculate Conception Church, his sister, Sharon Lavoie and her husband Paul of Holden, and his brother, Brian Heffernan and his wife Marcelle of Pembroke. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Emily Rettig and her husband Larry and David Lavoie all of Holden and Patrick, Luke and Caroline Heffernan all of Pembroke, as well as his great-niece, Renee Rettig. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine (Wynott) Heffernan.
Memorial Mass will be held from Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Saturday at 11 AM.

LOUIS F. PANCIOCCO

Louis F. Panciocco, 89, died unexpectedly at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, April 6. He was the husband of Paula J. (Oteri) Panciocco. Born and educated in Hyde Park, he was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, Class of 1934. He was a resident of Stoughton for 30 years. Mr. Panciocco was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the DAV. Mr. Panciocco was a postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service, mainly at the South Postal Annex in Boston, for 34 years before retiring in 1981. Before that he worked at the railroad in Hyde Park for 20 years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Panciocco is survived by his daughters, Karole A. Griffin of Seekonk and Barbara S. Demilt of Holbrook and his sons, Michael F. Panciocco of Stoughton and Mark L. Panciocco of Middleboro. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be held offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 9-10 AM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

JOHN A. MORRIS

John A. Morris, 46, died Saturday, April 2 at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was the husband of Nadean A. Yasko of Avon. Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton and was a graduate of Canton Schools. Mr. Morris worked as a truck driver for Atlantic Broom Services in Hyde Park for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Morris is survived by his father, Richard L. Morris, Sr., and his siblings, Richard L. Morris Jr. and his wife Elinore of Stoughton, Catherine M. "Katie" Morris, Michael C. Morris and his wife Jean all of Canton and Mark A. Morris and his wife Anne of Norton. He was the loving uncle of John I., Jessica, Richard, Michael, Jenna, Melanie, Natalie, Haylie, Katie and Michael Morris. He was predeceased by his mother Jean R. (Ivanoski) Morris.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. James Church, 560 Page St. Stoughton on Thursday at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Omitted. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home, Stoughton. Donations may be made to the Mass. MARGARET M. (KENNEDY) KINLIN

Margaret M. "Peggy" Kinlin, 91, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Saturday April 2, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Putnam, CT, she was raised in Putnam and moved to Stoughton in 1928. She was a graduate of Stoughton Schools in 1931. Mrs. Kinlin worked as an Electronic Assembler for the Hazeltine Corp in Braintree for many years. She retired 25 years ago. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Stoughton Golden Agers, the Sons of Italy, the Stoughton Historical Society, the Friends of the Elderly and the Our Lady of the Rosary Church all in Stoughton.
She is survived by her brother, Harold E. Kennedy of NH and her son-in-law Kenneth Campbell of Stoughton. Mrs Kinlin was predeceased by her husband George H. Kinlin, her daughter Barbara M. Campbell and her granddaughter Karla Bagtaz.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, April 6, at 8: 15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.

EDITH E. (CRUGNALE) HATCH

Edith E. (Crugnale) Hatch, 95, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Thursday, March 31. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Hatch. A lifelong resident of Stoughton, Mrs. Hatch was educated in Stoughton Schools. She was a housewife at home with her family.
Mrs. Hatch is survived by her daughter, Leona T. Foley and her son, Raymond J. Hatch, Jr. both of Stoughton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jennie Federico.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. MADELINE A. (WALSH) PIETERSEN

Madeline A. (Walsh) Pietersen, 62, died Thursday morning, March 31 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a long illness. She was the wife of John A. Pietersen, Jr. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of St. Angela's School in Mattapan and Cardinal Cushing High School in South Boston. She worked for Chadwick's of Boston as a Working Supervisor for many years. She retired several years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed boating.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, John A. Pietersen, III of Stoughton, Karyn A. Romano of Mansfield and James Pietersen of Norton. She was the sister of William Walsh of Berkley and the late John Walsh. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Donations in Madeline's name may be made to the American Lung Assn, 25 Spring St., Walpole, 02081. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

MANUEL D. CORREIA

Manuel D. Correia, 86, died at the Copley at Stoughton on Wednesday, March 30 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Leopoldina G. (Borges) Correia. Born and educated in Faial, Azores, Portugal, Mr. Correia came to Stoughton in 1967. He worked at Randy Sneakers in Randolph for several years before retiring at age 62. He was a member of Club Luis de Camoes in Stoughton.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Correia is survived by his daughters, Mary Jo DeMelo, Ilda M. Andrade and Maria de Lourdes Correia all of Stoughton and his son, Eduino A. Correia of Marion. He is the brother of Serafim D. Correia and Ana A. DeMelo of Portugal, Maria Ferreira of Stoughton, Alice Correia of Brockton, Mariana de Rosa and Evarista Miguel both of New Bedford and Rosa Vargas of FL. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
