Florence (Carroll) Miner
MINER, Florence (Carroll), of Needham, formerly of Longmeadow, MA, died peacefully on December 2, 2005 at North Hill at the age of 97. Wife of the late Theodore R. Miner, M.D. of Longmeadow and mother of the late Virginia M. Nichols, also of Longmeadow. She leaves her son, T. Richardson Miner, Jr. and his wife Rev. Barbara W. Miner of Falmouth, and five grandchildren: Meredith M. Moore and her husband Paul of Dorchester, MA, Wendy R. Miner of Arlington, MA, Lisa N. Kallen and her husband John of East Granby, CT, John D. Nichols and his wife Nancy of Hamilton, Bermuda, and Bradford S. Nichols and his wife Anne of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by six great grandchildren. A family service will be held at a later date. Internment will be in the spring in Gaysville, VT.

Devoted mother of Jeannette Michienzi and her husband Giacomo, Phyllis Marenco, and Rose-Marie Dobbins and her husband Ernest, all of Concord. Cherished grandmother of Tanya Michienzi and her husband Gary Millward of Lowell, Natasha Venti and her husband Jerome of Maynard, and Monique and Brent Dobbins, both of Concord. Loving great-grandmother of Nicholas and Sophia Venti. Sister of Marie Mazzetti of CA and Olga Romano of NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Tues. She also had two cherished grandsons, Dana and Robin Clark, and a much loved granddaughter, Emilie Schweikert. Louise E. (Scatterty) Rogers
ROGERS, Louise E. (Scatterty), Age 94, of Bedford and former longtime resident of Lincoln died Nov. 11, 2005 at Carleton-Willard Village after a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Alfred Peet Rogers. Born in Mississippi on Nov. 23, 1910 she received her Master of Science degree from Louisiana State University and her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Radcliffe College. She had longtime interests in science and horticulture. Her love of beauty and nature were reflected in her flower arrangements and gardens. She is survived by her children Joan R. Calamari, Louise R. Finch, Sara R. Scanlon, John A. Rogers, and Judith R. Oliveri, their spouses, her 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Louise will be held in the spring of 2006. Gifts in her name may be made to First Parish Church, Bedford Rd., Lincoln, MA. 01773.

Ruth J. (Berlied) Berry
