SHREWSBURY - Jonas E. Carter, 85, of 35 Julio Drive, formerly of Framingham and Upton, a World War II veteran and retired supervisor, died Friday, Feb. 2, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after a brief illness.

Ruth L. Colcord
FITCHBURG - Ruth L. (Beckling) Colcord of 29 Merriam Parkway, a retired secretary, died at home Thursday, Feb. 1, after an illness.

Cozzolino services
WORCESTER - The funeral for Alfred F. “Allie” Cozzolino, 81, of 156 Commonwealth Ave., will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, from Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Road.
Mr. Cozzolino died Thursday, Feb. 1, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus after a brief illness.
Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
A calling hour is 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in the funeral home.

Cronin services
WARREN - The funeral for Helen K. (Malloy) Cronin, 95, of West Hartford, formerly of West Brookfield and Warren, will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, from Doherty Funeral Home, 40 Bacon St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, Main Street.
Mrs. Cronin died Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Brookview Healthcare Facility, West Hartford.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
A calling hour is 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in the funeral home.

TEMPLETON - Don E. Easterbrooks Jr., 75, of 370 State Road, Otter River, a World War II veteran and retired millwright, died at home Friday, Feb. 2, after an illness.

George S. Johnson, 87
MILLBURY - George S. Johnson, 87, formerly of Lakewood Avenue and Collins Street, Worcester, died Friday, Feb. 2, in Sunbridge for Millbury.

Robert C. Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, is directing funeral arrangements, which are incomplete.

Eleanor R. Keaney, 82
WORCESTER - Eleanor R. (O'Leary) Keaney, 82, of 45 Greendale Ave., a retired payroll officer, died at home Thursday, Feb. 1, after a short illness.

Marguerite J. Manseau
WORCESTER - Marguerite J. (Padgett) Manseau, 71, of 66 Barrington Road, Longmeadow, formerly of Worcester, a former health care worker, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, after an illness.

Thomas O'Connor, 87
WORCESTER - Thomas V. O'Connor, 87, of 38 Copperfield Road, a World War II veteran and retired firefighter, died Thursday, Feb. 1, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after a brief illness.

Stanley J. Oles, 76
UXBRIDGE - Stanley J. Oles, 76, of 56 Homeward Ave., a World War II veteran and retired foundry worker, died Thursday, Feb. 1, in Milford - Whitinsville Regional Hospital, Milford, after being stricken ill at home.

Harold Rogers, 89
WORCESTER - Harold Rogers, 89, of Greenville, R.I., formerly of Worcester, a retired service station owner, died Thursday, Feb. 1, in Village at Waterman Lake, Greenville.

Francis A. Saball, 67
ASHBY - Francis A. Saball, 67, of 1065 Turnpike Road, a retired heavy - machine operator, died Thursday, Feb. 1, in the Deaconess - Nashoba Hospital, Ayer.

Ida Shannon, 90
WORCESTER - Ida (Dahrooge) Shannon, 90, formerly of 49 Bates Ave., died Thursday, Feb. 1, in University Commons after a long illness.

Harvey A. Shipman, 77
PINEHURST, N.C. - Harvey A. Shipman, 77, of Pinehurst, formerly of Worcester, Mass., a World War II veteran and former presidential appointee, died Sunday, Jan. 28, in a Raleigh hospital after a long illness.

Betty J. Taft, 75
NORTHBORO - Betty J. (Peinze) Taft, 75, of 31 West St., a retired office manager, died Thursday, Feb. 1, in Marlboro Hospital, Marlboro, after an illness.
