Herrick, Earle
Earle Herrick, age 86, of Frederick, MD died Saturday March 28, 2009 at the North Hampton Manor Nursing Home in Frederick. He was born June 10, 1922 in Springfield, Massachusetts; he was the son of the late Percy Herrick and late Nellie Bitgood Herrick. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Mary Jane Esbrandt Herrick, in 1993. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a Mail Carrier in Baltimore, MD, after 33 years of Service. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as an Aircraft Approach Controller, during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He is survived by a daughter, Maria Martin and husband Craig of Frederick, MD, Brother Myron Herrick of Sunrise, Florida, nephews and nieces. He will be remembered by many friends in the Sykesville and Eldersburg, MD area. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday April 2, 2009 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F.“Bud” Kibbe, Methodist clergy officiating. Interment Lake View Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Earle’s name may be made to the Golden Retriever Rescue, www.grreat.org or the Baltimore County Public Library, www.fondationforbcpl.org.

Myers, Frances E.
Frances Elaine Myers (nee Duvall), age 53, of Westminster, died Tuesday March 31, 2009 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD. She was born September 1, 1956 in Montgomery County, Maryland the daughter of the late Harry Windsor Duvall, Sr. and the late Hazel Oland Duvall. She was the wife of the late Roy Michael Myers. She was a Medicine Aide for Glade Valley and Pleasant View Nursing Homes. She enjoyed Karaoke and Bingo. She was the mother Michelle Lynn Reed of Westminster and a son never had Jeramy Logsdon. Grandmother of Robert Golden, Jaden Golden and Jasmine Reed. Sister of Pearl Hett of Westminster, Harry Duvall Jr. and wife Tammy of Woodbine. Predeceased by Brother in law Carl E. Hett, Sr. Also survived by nieces and nephews; John Hett and wife Heather and their son Ben; Carl Hett, Jr. and Hazel Hett all of Westminster and Jacob Duvall and Jennifer Duvall both of Woodbine. Shaible, Gladys L.
Gladys L. (Michel) Schaible, 93 of Mount Airy, MD, died Saturday April 4, 2009 at her home in Mt. Airy, MD. She was the spouse of the late Edward Lee Schaible who precede her in death in March of 1985. She was born November 25, 1915 in Baltimore City, MD. The daughter of the late Henry Frederick Michel, Sr. and late Theresa Downey Michel. She was a homemaker a Past Worthy Matron and member of The Mt. Airy Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 95. A member of Calvary Lutheran Church Mt. Airy, MD. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Edward Henry and Betty Jane Schaible of Mt. Airy, MD. Brother Henry F. Michel of Florida. 3 Granddaughters: Sandra L. Martin of Taylorsville, Debra L. Epley of Rockville and Pamela A. Harding of Mt. Airy. 7 Great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren Preceded in death by Sister Thelma G. Hillary. Also survived by 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Graveside Services will be held 11:00am on Tuesday April 7, 2009 at Prospect UM Church cemetery 5923 Woodville Rd Mt. Airy, MD. Morgan, Beverly A.
Beverly A. (Boyer) Morgan 76 of New Windsor, MD, died Saturday April 4, 2009 at Country Care in Westminster. She was the spouse of the late Paul T. Morgan, Jr. She was born November 27, 1932 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late James Boyer and the late Margaret (Forman) Boyer. She was a Secretary for W. H. Boyer Inc. She enjoyed collecting dolls, doing yard work and enjoyed antiques. Surviving her are Sons Paul T. Morgan III of New Windsor, Jeffrey B Morgan of Westminster, and James B Morgan of New Windsor. Brothers Warren Boyer of Glenwood, and James Boyer of Towson. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Wednesday April 8, 2009 11 AM Interment to follow in Druid Ridge cemetery, Pikesville, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday April 7, 2009 6 to 9 PM.

Hauf, Barbara
Barbara (Collins) Hauf 52 of Sykesville, MD, died Sunday April 5, 2009 at the Dove House in Westminster after a hard fought battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She was the spouse of Scott Hauf of Sykesville. Mrs. Hauf was born January 30, 1957 in Baltimore, MD. The daughter of Joseph Collins and Elizabeth (Maher) Collins of Eldersburg. Was a graduate of Glenelg High School where she was a Cheerleader and play Field Hockey. She is a homemaker and previously employed by G. E. Capital. Barb was a second Mom to many of her Sons Friends. She was a volunteer at the Snack Bar for Sykesville Raiders Football and also a volunteer for Piney Ridge Elementary School. Member of the Church of the Nazarene in Eldersburg. Her hobbies included Cutting Hair, Entertaining family and friends at her home for holidays and Raven’s games, Ocean City, Steamed Crabs, Shopping, gardening, playing cards with her Mom, going to the movies, swimming in her pool watching her son’s play football at Century High School. She loved her dogs Honey, Chase and Diddy. Also surviving are Sons Scotty and Matt Hauf both of Sykesville. Brother Joe and his wife Becky Collins, Sister Debbie and her husband Doug Dawson. Sister Mary Lee and husband Richard Diggs, Brother-in-laws David and wife Donna Hauf, Kurt and wife Carlie Hauf. Nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Christine, Lindsay, Nicholas and Maddie Collins, Kurt Dawson, Jackie and Eddie Daubert, Jackson Hauf, Shannon, Richie and Keith Diggs. Hoff, Francis J.
Francis Joseph “Bud” Hoff, age 89, of Winfield, died Tuesday April 7, 2009 at Brinton Woods Health Care Center in Sykesville, MD. He was born January 27, 1920 in Gamber, MD the son of the late Charles E. Hoff, Sr. and the late Hilda M. Hoff (nee Niner). He was a farmer. He enjoyed going to the Hoff Sawmill with his brothers. He enjoyed going to Winfield Volunteer Fire Company and going to carnivals. He enjoyed country music and ice Cream. He was a member of Salem U.M. Church and was an honorary member of the Winfield Volunteer Fire Company. He was the brother of Ruth Buckingham, Elsie Legore, Charlotte Ogle, Raymond and Ginny Hoff, Norman and Helen Hoff, Ralph and Barbara Hoff, James and Susan Hoff and Larry and Diane Hoff all of Westminster and the late Charles E. Hoff, Jr., late Pauline Muller and the late infant Martha Catherine Hoff. Brother in law of Ethel Hoff. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Interment Providence Church cemetery, Gamber, MD. Dorothy L. Hartig (nee Heacock), age 91, of Baltimore, died Saturday April 11, 2009 at Northwest Hospital Center, Randallstown, MD. She was born July 1, 1917 in Baltimore County, Maryland the daughter of the late Robert W. Heacock and the late Mabel Gombf Heacock. She was the wife of Ernest V. Hartig of 68 years. She was a housewife. She was the mother of Janet L. Mentzer of Carroll County, Wayne E. Hartig of Catonsville and Elaine D. Hartig of Baltimore. Pearre, Betty J.
Betty Jean Pearre (nee Hickey)65 of Granite, MD, died Saturday April 11, 2009. Born August 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Gilbert Hickey and late Maybert Elaine Clemonts Hickey. She was a homemaker. Beloved wife of the late William Kenneth Pearre. Devoted mother of Tammy Griffith, Brian Pearre, Michael Pearre and Cindy Gittings and Joey Pearre. Loving Sister of Joseph Hickey. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday April 18, 2009 10 AM at McKendree cemetery, Cooksville, MD.

Will, Frederick W.
Frederick William Will, age 87, of Woodbine, formerly of Eldersburg, died Tuesday April 14, 2009 at Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD. He was born December 21, 1921 in Eldersburg, MD the son of the late Frederick Ludwig Will and the late Lottie Mae Knauff Will. He was the Husband of M. Louise Cook Will of 63 years. He was the father of Diane L. Kirk and husband Scott of Woodbine. Brother of Virginia Brown of Sykesville and the late Margaret Layton and the late Weldon Will. Grandfather of “His Girls”-Karen Anita and Cynthia Marie Dixon both of Sykesville. Also survived by nephew Weldon Will and his family and a son Glenn Will. He was an LPN for Springfield Hospital Center for 35 years. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the Sykesville American Legion and a member of Westminster VFW. Funeral Service will be held Saturday April 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Elders Baptist Church 1216 Liberty Road, Eldersburg with the Pastor Jim Edmonson officiating. L. Marie Cunningham (nee Moran), age 83, of Westminster, formerly of Sykesville, died Tuesday April 14, 2009 at Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was the daughter of the late David Crockett Moran and the late Mattie Jane Ball Moran. She was born April 21, 1925 in Troutdale, VA. She was a homemaker. She was long-time member of Bethesda U.M. Church in Sykesville. She sang in the Choir and she worked and was in charge of the Soup Kitchen and various other church activities at Bethesda U.M. Church. She was a blessing to all who knew her in her life and she enjoyed her time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening. She was the wife of the late Harry Cunningham, Jr. She was the mother of David H. Cunningham and wife Patricia of West Friendship, Belinda C. Finn and husband Bob of Union Mills, Pam S. Wood and husband John of New Windsor and Ann M. Thomas and husband Mike of Westminster. Sister of the late Brothers- Gayle and Jackie Moran. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral Service Friday April 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Dorothy Mitkowski Miller 87 of Winfield, MD Died Tuesday April 14, 2009 at The Dove House in Westminster, MD She was the spouse of the late Curtis H. Miller. She was born December 29, 1921 in Bayonne, NJ the daughter of the late Blaze and Stefanie Waskiewicz Mitkowski. She was a retired Private Duty Registered Nurse, She Enjoyed being with family and discussing politics, reading, shopping and decorating. Surviving her are Daughters and Son-in-law Carol and Harry Campbell of Bridgeville, DE, and Clarice Sykes Logue of Winfield. Brother Robert Mitkowski of Parlin, NJ, Sisters Irene Moskal of Ocean, NJ and Constance Elliott of Manahawkin, NJ. Grandchildren Sean and wife Kristine Sykes, Patrick Sykes, Michelle and husband John Schroeder, Great-grandchildren Clara Sykes and JohnRyan Schroeder. Preceded in death by Brother Richard Mitkowski, Sister Eleanor King, Son-in-laws Michael P. Sykes and Leonard Wayne Logue. Mrs. Miller was also survived by the Sykes and Logue families. John Robert Jaeger, age 86, of Westminster, formerly of Marriottsville, died Thursday April 16, 2009 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. He was born February 8, 1923 in Gorsuch, MD the son of the late George August Jaeger and the late Grace M. Zepp Jaeger. He was the husband of the late Minerva R. Jaeger (nee Carey). He was a rural mail carrier for US postal Service for 37 years. He was a Deacon and member of Elders Baptist Church and the Treasurer of Elders Baptist Church for 25 years. He was a Past Master (1970) of Freedom Masonic Lodge #112; He was the past worthy Patron for his wife when she was worthy Matron of Freedom Eastern Star Lodge #87, He was a Member of the Carroll Council #7 and Belvedere Royal Arch Chapter #37 High Priest and Carroll Commandree #17 for 5 years. He was the father of Barbara R. Korman of Hanover, PA, Pete Jaeger and his wife Tracy of Westminster and Pamela Swengel of York, PA. He was the grandfather of George Robert Jaeger, Samantha Grace Anne Korman, Natalie May Korman, Jacquelyn G. Jaeger, Christian P. Jaeger and Cameron Swengel. He was the brother of Catherine Yingling of Union Bridge, late Edward Jaeger, late Magdalene Kipke and Late George Jaeger. Funeral Service will be held Monday April 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Elders Baptist Church 1216 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD with the Pastor Jim Edmonson officiating.
