JAMES A. QUINN
CUMBERLAND - James Allen "Al" Quinn, 75, formally of Mundy's Corner, Pa., and Cumberland, died Thursday, April 16, 1998, at the Holidaysburg Veterans Home, Holidaysburg, Pa.
Born Jan. 14, 1923, in Nanty-Glo, Pa., he was the son of the late Henry Patrick and the late Bertha Mae (Rearick) Quinn. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lettie (Gallagher) Quinn; and one brother, Harold P. Quinn.

Mr. Quinn was retired from the Cambria County School District. He was a member of St. John's Vianty Church, Mundy's Corner. He also was a member of American Legion Post 619, Nanty-Glo, and VFW Post 3518, Keyser, W.Va. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was very proud to have served his country.

Surviving are one son, James P. Quinn and daughter-in-law Linda Kaye (Boyd) Quinn; three granddaughters, Laura M., Allison L. and Elizabeth K. Quinn; four sisters, Elizabeth J. Quinn, Baltimore, Rita M. Carmel, Nanty-Glo, Mary M. Novak, Buffalo, N.Y., and Myra A. Devine, Baltimore; and one brother, John P. Quinn, Central City, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Bowser-Ondrieczek Funeral Home, Nanty-Glo, on Friday, April 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at St. John's Vianty Church, Mundy's Corner, on Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in the Holy Name cemetery, Ebensburg, Pa.

Pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased, Jeff Carmel, Jack Carmel, Rick Novak, Mike Novak, Brian Quinn and Mike Devine.

HENRY H. RICHMOND
BITTINGER - Henry H. Richmond, 74, of 1841 Orendorf Road, Bittinger, formerly of Baltimore, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born April 15, 1924, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Laurence Richmond and Genevieve (McGreeve) Richmond. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Sophia M. (Gmytruk) Richmond, on May 21, 1996.

Mr. Richmond was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a current member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Grantsville. He was a retired metallurgist for Bethlehem Steel and a member of the Steel Workers Union. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Kolbe, Bittinger, and Pamela Richmond, Kirkland, Wash.; two brothers, Laurence Richmond, Baltimore, and John Richmond, Walhalla, S.C.; a sister, Sue Andrews, Sykesville; and five grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer and John Kolbe, and Alissa and Justin Coward.

Friends will be received at St. Ann's Church, Grantsville, Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church Friday at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Byrnes as celebrant.

Entombment will be in the Parkwood cemetery, Baltimore, Saturday at 11:15 a.m.

The Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, is in charge of arrangements.

JOHN C. RICHMOND
CUMBERLAND - John C. Richmond, 89, of Cumberland, formerly of Connellsville, Pa., died Monday, June 22, 1998, in the Cumberland Nursing Home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1908, in Chartier Township, Pa., the son of the late John D. and Lillie (Sickles) Richmond. Mr. Richmond was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was a retired coal miner, having worked for Consolidated Coal Company.

Survivors include his wife, Alice F. (McCarthy) Richmond; a son, John C. Richmond Jr., and wife, Yolanda, Cumberland; two grandchildren, Michael Richmond, Manassas, Va., and Leah Grove, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and three great-grandchildren.

At Mr. Richmond's request there will be no public visitation.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, LaVale.

JEANNE M. RICKER
LAVALE - Jeanne M. Ricker, 47, of Bethel Park, Pa., formerly of LaVale, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Nov. 7, 1950, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Miriam V. (Livingood) Llewellyn, of Potomac Park, and the late H. Ralph Llewellyn.

Mrs. Ricker was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Cumberland. She was employed at American Trust Bank for 26 years, and was a graduate of Allegany High School and Catherman's Business School.

Surviving are her husband, John P. "Jack" Ricker; a son, Dr. Shawn A. Ricker, LaVale, and fiancee Ginger Canizaro; two sisters, Bonita J. Sterne and husband Chris W., Lewisville, Texas, and Lori A. Llewellyn Lugo and husband Luis O., Burlington, Iowa; two brothers, Timothy Llewellyn and wife Sandy L., Potomac Park, and Dwight D. Llewellyn and wife Diane, Piedmont, W.Va.; a step-granddaughter, Taylor Canizaro; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, March 14, 1998, at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Morton O. Harris and the Rev. Sven Miller officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Ricker to the American Cancer Society, 111 S. George St., Cumberland, MD 21502.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ricker, Daniel Light, Douglas Light, Doug Kenney, Chris Sterne and Luis Lugo.

DENNIS M. RIGGLEMAN
WESTERNPORT - Dennis M. Riggleman, 51, formerly of 270 Main St., Westernport, died Sunday, March 22, 1998, at the Harbor Hospital Center, Baltimore.
Born Dec. 9, 1946, in Garrett County, he was the son of the late James Riggleman and Ruby M. (Michael) Dietrick. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Dietrick; two brothers, James Riggleman Jr. and Donald Dietrick; and one half brother, Edward Dietrick.

Surviving are one daughter, Ruby Riggleman, and two sons, Dennis Riggleman Jr. and Russell Riggleman, all of Baltimore; three brothers, Fred Riggleman, Rawlings, Samuel Riggleman, Baltimore, and Harry E. Riggleman; one aunt, Katherine Upperman, Bloomington; and four cousins, Marg Smith, Gloria Walker, Ruby Keller and Dale Miller.

Mr. Riggleman was cremated.

Memorial services will be held at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Sheller officiating.

Interment will be in the Bloomington cemetery.

ROBERT N. RIGGLEMAN
FLINTSTONE - Robert Nathaniel Riggleman, 75, of Flintstone, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at the Cumberland Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 28, 1922, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Riggleman and Blinda (Mullenax) Bennett. He also was preceded in death by two infant brothers; one sister, Nanie Shroyer; and one half sister, Alice Whitacre.

Mr. Riggleman was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was self-employed. He was a member of the Mountain Top Church.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Freeda Riggleman; two sons, Robert S. Riggleman and wife Carol, Little Orleans, and Gary Riggleman, Cumberland; two daughters, Connie Davis and husband Homer, and Nancy Shreve and husband Bill, all of Flintstone; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three half brothers, Raymond Riggleman and Estal Riggleman, both of Keyser, and Arthur Riggleman, Ranson, W.Va.; and two half sisters, Kathryn Dennison, Berryville, Va., and Naomi Smeletger, Martinsburg, Va.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ted Russell officiating. Interment will be in the Glendale cemetery, Flintstone.

Pallbearers will be three grandsons, Billy Shreve, Bruce Shreve and Derrick Davis, and three brothers-in-law, Howard Bennett, Carl Bennett and Larry Bennett.

GLORIA E. RILEY
CUMBERLAND - Gloria Eileen Riley, 62, of Polk Street, Cumberland, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 24, 1935, in Petersburg, W.Va., the daughter of Helen Virginia (Mongold) Wratchford of Petersburg and the late Roy Wratchford.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Wratchford.

Mrs. Riley was a member of Highland Baptist Church and worked at Memorial Hospital for many years.

Surviving, along with her mother, are her husband, Clarence "Pete" Riley; one son, Charles "Buddy" Jones and wife, Loretta, Cumberland; two daughters, Judy Furstenberg, Cumberland, and Debbie Lewis and husband, Roger, Short Gap, W.Va.; one brother, Ralph Wratchford, Falls Church, Va.; two sisters, Arvella Sennett and Donna Sue Myers, both of Petersburg; three half-brothers, Gary Wratchford and John Wratchford both of Virginia, and Warren Wratchford, Petersburg; two half-sisters, Helen Humphries and Linda Michaels, both of Moorefield, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Jimmy, Chad and Crystal Furstenberg, Michelle and Todd Lewis, "Buddy," Lee, Kerry, Amanda and Scott Jones; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Leasure-Stein Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. J.W. Lancaster officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Foote, C.G. Wilson, Eric Beal, Sean D'Atri, John Jones and Gary Logsdon.

Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
