JOHN A. LOEWENDICK JR.
CUMBERLAND - John Andrew Lowendick Jr., 59, of 14405 Rephann Lane, Cumberland, died Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Jan. 30, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of the late John Andrew and Helen (Rephann) Loewendick.
Mr. Loewendick was a salesman for Quality Farm and Fleet, Keyser, W.Va. He was Catholic by faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Goodfellowship Club, Cumberland, and the Cresaptown Eagles 2883.
Surviving are three daughters, Sharon Loewendick, Potomac Park, Susan Fremeau and husband Bob, Fairfax, Va., and Shay Fadley, Cumberland; four sons, John E. Loewendick and wife Kim, Cresaptown, James A. Loewendick, Cresaptown, William P. Loewendick and wife Jamie, Sterling, Va., and Eric Fadley, Cresaptown; two brothers, Charles Loewendick and wife Barbara, Charles City, Va., Butch Loewendick and wife Radonna, Newark, Ohio; aunt, Katherine R. Stein, Pinto; seven grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Father Robert McCreary, OFM, Cap. officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's cemetery, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Charles Loewendick, Douglas Marker, John Scally, Bob Scally, Tom Scally, and Bill Scally. Honorary pallbearers will be Lou Scally and Danny Scally.
ARLYN E. "RENNIE" LOGAN, SR.
CUMBERLAND - Arlyn Edward "Rennie" Logan Sr., 47, of Cumberland, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at his residence.
Born Oct. 14, 1949, in Cumberland, he was the son of Raymond Edward and Laura Mae (Childress) Logan, Cumberland.
Mr. Logan was a construction worker for Local 616. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a 1967 graduate of Bishop Walsh High School and a member of the Cumberland Moose No. 271. He was well liked and loved by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Terry L. (Beckwith) Logan; two sons, Arlyn E. Logan II, student at West Point Army Academy, and Todd P. Logan, Cumberland; three brothers, Gary L. Logan and wife Jeaneen, Cumberland, Ricky C. Logan and wife Laura, Silver Spring, and Kevin P. Logan, Cumberland; one sister, Tina M. VonStein and husband John, Cresaptown; three nieces, Sarina A. Logan, Lindsay S. Logan, Tiffany A. VonStein; two nephews, Shawn M. Logan and Kelson P. Logan; and one great-nephew, Tylor D. Jessie.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home by the members of the Cumberland Moose on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral and interment services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 9 a.m. with Father Milton A. Hipsley officating. Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
Interment will be in Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap on Tuesday.

CUMBERLAND - Harold Herbert Logsdon Sr., 76, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 17, 1920, in Eckhart, he was the son of the late Herbert and Flora (Hansel) Logsdon.
Mr. Logsdon was a retired electrician working with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 307. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion, Fort Cumberland Post 13; member of the Barrellville Outdoor Club; and member and past president of the Eckhart Square Circle.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Lannon) Logsdon; two sons, Harold H. Logsdon Jr. and wife Vivian, Cresaptown, and Steven R. Logsdon, Cumberland; two daughters, Ruth Ann Scaletta and husband Ronald, Lincolnton, Ga., and Debra S. Luttrell and husband Stephen, Pace, Fla.; one sister, Leona Fazenbaker, Baltimore; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

MARIE E. LOGUE
CUMBERLAND - Marie Elizabeth Logue, 75, of Cumberland, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born May 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Casper and Elise A. (Dailey) Grove. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Logue; two brothers, Robert C. Grove and Claude Grove; and one sister, Ardell Bartles.
Mrs. Logue was a retired laundry department employee of Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the Relief Society at the church.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan M. Grove, with whom she resided; one brother, John M. Grove and wife Rose, Cumberland; and two sisters, Rosa Lee Harvey, Cumberland, and Frances D. Cook, Oldtown.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 12205 Gramlich Road SW, LaVale, on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Bishop Steven Whited officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Mary's cemetery.
JOHN J. LOIBEL
CUMBERLAND - John J. "Jack" Loibel, 82, of Bedford Street, Cumberland, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at his residence.
Born June 15, 1915, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John J. and Fredricka Mae (Custer) Loibel. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Francis "Lefty" Loibel.
Mr. Loibel was a retired bartender for Knights of Columbus No. 586, Cumberland. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the 4th degree of Chief Justice Taney, Cumberland, and a member of American Legion Post No. 13. He served in the U.S. Army, 3rd Battalion, 351st Infantry Regiment.
Surviving are his wife, Alverna A. Loibel; one son, Gerald J. Loibel and wife Willa, Cumberland; one daughter, Sue Frances Johnson and husband John, Valrico, Fla.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas R. Bevan as celebrant. Members of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus will form an honor guard at the church.
Interment will be in SS Peter and Paul cemetery.
Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
