MARGARET E. POWERS
MIAMI - Margaret E. "Peg" Powers, 86, of Miami, formerly of Mount Savage, died Friday, Sept. 5, 1997, at the Columbia Deering Hospital in South Miami.
Born Dec. 22, 1910, in Allegany County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Egnatz. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Col. James Williams Powers; one sister; and one brother-in-law, Lt. Col. Regis B. Powers.
Mrs. Powers operated the family fruit tree business in Dade County, Fla. She was a member of St. Regis Catholic Church in Miami.
Surviving are four brothers-in-law, Leo T. Powers and George A. Powers, both of Cumberland, James V. Powers, Boise, Idaho, and Richard P. Powers, Martinsburg, W.Va.; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn E. Parrish, Melbourne, Fla., and Rosemary Erich, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be conducted Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Milton A. Hipsley as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Patrick's cemetery, Mount Savage.
DR. ERNEST F. POWERS
LONACONING - Dr. Ernest F. Powers, 62, of 7409 Radcliffe Dr., College Park, MD 20740, died Feb. 11, 1997.
He was the husband of Suzanne (Sowers) Powers, formerly of Lonaconing.
A memorial service was held on Sunday at the Hyattsville United Methodist Church.

DOLORES A. POWELL
FRUITLAND - Dolores A. Powell, 69, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, at her home. Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Lueick) Mulvey.
She was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church and an active volunteer in bingo at the church. She was an avid Orioles fan.
Surviving are her husband, William E. Powell; a daughter, Becky Fifer and husband, Steve, Fruitland; a sister Margaret Young, Sprague, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main St., Salisbury, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., where prayers will be said at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Salisbury on Saturday at 10 a.m., with the Very Rev. Charles L. Brown III celebrating.

ESTHER L. RICHARDSON
FROSTBURG - Esther Lucille Richardson, 77, of 150 S. Water St., Frostburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 14, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Jan. 9, 1920, in McHenry, she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Sarah (Glotfelty) Bowser. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Richardson, in 1991; one brother, Wilbur Bowser; and three sisters, Loretta Winterbottom, Freida Miller, and Helen Morgan.
Mrs. Richardson was retired from the housekeeping department at Frostburg State University and was formerly employed at the Phillips Flower Shop, Frostburg. She was a member of the Frostburg Assembly of God Church, the women's ministry, and formerly was the Sunday school superintendent.
Surviving are three sons, Elroy "Butch" Richardson and wife Nancy, Pataskala, Ohio, Walter Wesley Richardson, Canandaigua, N.Y., and William Boyd Richardson, Perrysburg, Ohio; one daughter, Earlene Mason and husband Ervin, Cumberland; one brother, Robert Bowser, Herford, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Christine Mullaly, Wesley Richardson, Trista Richardson-Turner, Angela Richardson, Jessica Richardson, and Wesley Richardson-Mason; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jared; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Frostburg Assembly of God Church, 126 Maple St., Frostburg, on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. H. Eddie Schaidt and the Rev. Ervin Mason officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Roger Bowser, Harry Bowser, Norman Snyder, Stuart Richardson, Walter "Jr." Brant, and James Johnson.
EULALA ROBOSSON
CUMBERLAND - Eulala Robosson, 86, of Route 3, Johnson's Addition, Cumberland, and residing with her daughter and son-in-law, went to be with our Lord and her late husband of 63 years on Friday, May 2, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born April 20, 1911, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Frank Tyson and the late Hulda (Hartsock) Tyson Barnhart. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wilbur "Chubby" Robosson, on February 20, 1993; and a sister, Madeline Barnhart.
Mrs. Robosson was a former employee of Cumberland Glass Factory, Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, and was chief judge for East Side Election Board for 20 years. She was a member of Melvin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Norma Lee Manges and husband, Roy A., with whom she resided, Cumberland; a sister, Elva Dom, Cumberland; three grandchildren, Vicki Allen and husband John C., Burtonsville, Robin Diehl and husband James, LaVale, Mark Manges and wife Janie, Laurel; six great-grandchildren, Kevin Allen, Kerri Allen, Matthew Allen, David Diehl, Douglas Diehl, and Daniel Diehl.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Leslie and the Rev. Daniel Taylor officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

CORRIGANVILLE - Jacqueline Porter, 61, of Corriganville, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit.
Born June 4, 1936, in Midland, Mich., she was the daughter of the late William and Eunice (Pritt) Engle. She also was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth M. Porter; and four children.
Mrs. Porter was a homemaker, and she attended the Apostolic Light House Church, Corriganville.
Surviving are six daughters, Linda, Connie, Cathy, Kim, Bonnie, and Pam; six sons, Sam, Mark, Kenneth Jr., Clyde, Willie, and Adam; two brothers, Albert and Douglas Engle; six sisters, Eva, Arlene, Margie, Helen, Phyllis, and Jean; 26 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Pastor James Glass officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran and Reformed Parish cemetery, Wellersburg, Pa.

LAVALE - Christina Jean Smith, 19, of LaVale, died Sunday, April 20, 1997, in Wellersburg, Pa., as the result of an automobile accident.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Christ Lutheran Church, Vocke Road, LaVale, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles A. Erzkus officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

DONALD A. SMITH
FROSTBURG - Donald A. Smith, 59, formerly of Frostburg, who had been residing in Apple Valley, Minn., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 1997 at United Hospital, St. Paul, Minn.
Born July 13, 1938, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late James and Eleanor (Plummer) Smith.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Chuck Smith; and one sister, Marylou.
He was a former Maryland State Trooper.
Surviving are his wife, Susan (Walters) Smith; one daughter, Tracy; and one son, Todd; three grandchildren, Derek, Jessika, and Zakary; and three brothers Jim, Hank and Marty.
At his request, after cremation there will be a memorial tribute at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, Minn. on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
