Paul Brumback
Services for Paul Brumback, 53, of Bryan Place, Hagerstown, who died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, will be today at 1 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Bishop Paul Bowers and Adv. President Elder James Coffman will officiate. Burial will be in Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Cemetery, Hancock.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Nellie I.M. Cramer
FREDERICK, Md. - Nellie Irene Martz Cramer, 83, of 6 Franklin St., who died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, was the daughter of the late Lester and Minnie Biddle Martz.
Robert E. Settles
CAVETOWN - Robert E. Settles, 71, of 22419 Old Georgetown Road, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 6, 1926, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late James Duskin and Myrtis Lawson Settles.
He was employed by Washington County Board of Education and was a former employee of Cavetown Planing Mill.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, V. Josephine Settles; three daughters, Jean "Peggy" Shaffer of Hagerstown, Chery I. Barklow of Williamsport and Janice Frey of Smithsburg; one stepdaughter, Jo-Carol Prokop of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one son, Robert L. Settles of Hagerstown; two sisters, Larue Domaruk and Marca Belle Henson, both of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Juanita "Peachy" Bequeath, Evelyn Settles and Velma Rowe; one brother, Wayne Settles; and one grandchild.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Huyette B. Oswald
DADE CITY, Fla. - Huyette B. Oswald, 79, of 12645 Morning Drive, Lot 4, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at Dade City Columbia Hospital, Dade City.
Born Jan. 11, 1919, in Snow Hill, Md., he was the son of the late Edward Ingram and Anna Elizabeth Beck Oswald. He lived in the Tampa Bay, Fla., area for the past 46 years.
He was employed by McCormick & Co. in Baltimore. He worked for the Gulf Oil Co. in Washington, D.C. He was past executive secretary for the Florida Bakers Council in Tampa. He was past owner of Caribbean Products Ltd. of Limon, Costa Rica.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tampa.
He was member of Chewsville Lions Club, Elks Lodge 378 and Family Motor Coach Association.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Allen Ward Oswald; two daughters, Patricia Knight of Smithsburg and Nancy Fink of Tampa, Fla.; one son, David Oswald of Chewsville; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Smithsburg Cemetery, Smithsburg. Pastor H. Allen Youngbar will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Bess L.L. Moyer
WILLIAMSPORT - Bess Louise Lindaman Moyer, 102, a resident of Homewood Retirement Center, and formerly of Perkasie, Pa., died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at the center.
Born April 28, 1895, in Bath, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Rev. John Oliver and Mary Lisberger Lindaman.
She graduated from Perkasie High School, Junior College in LosGatos, Calif., and from business college in Philadelphia.
Her husband, Dr. H. Clayton Moyer, died in 1954. They were married June 28, 1918.
She enjoyed playing the organ for Homewood Retirement Center's services.
She taught at Perkasie High School for a number of years. She then taught in Bedminster, Pa. Following her husband's death, she taught at Woods School in Langhorne, Pa., for a number of years. She was last employed as a house mother at Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pa.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Waynesboro, Pa.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy M. Williams of Quakertown, Pa.; one son, the Rev. H. Clayton Moyer of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jean Bach; two sisters; and one brother.
A memorial service will be announced early in March and will be held at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Homewood Retirement Center, 2750 Virginia Ave., Williamsport, Md. 21795.

Patti S. Gaver
Patti Sue Gaver, 43, formerly of 222 E. Chestnut St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, at Torrey Pines Convalescent Hospital, La Jolla, Calif.
Born March 3, 1954, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Charlotte Duffey of Funkstown and Ray Gaver of Hagerstown.
She was a 1972 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, a 1974 graduate of Hagerstown Junior College, and a 1996 graduate of Denver University.
She was employed by Capital Records in Gaithersburg, Md., and Hollywood, Calif., and at a Denver radio station. She also worked for Cerebral Palsy in San Diego for two years.
She was a member of Boonsboro Bible Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Penny Ridenour; and one brother, Richard Gaver.
She was preceded in death by one brother, David Gaver.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Kenneth R. Stevens III
Kenneth Raymond Stevens III, 25, of 1380 Marshall St., Hagerstown, who died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, is survived by three sisters, Jesse Stevens, at home, Denise Rhinehart and Kimberly Rhinehart, both of Mercersburg, Pa.; and three brothers, Joshua Stevens and Joel Stevens, both at home, and Eric Rhinehart of Mercersburg.
Eva L. Nixon
Eva L. Nixon, 93, of Avalon Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, and formerly of 112 N. Cleveland Ave., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born July 25, 1904, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Homer and Ella Addelsberger Justice.
Her husband, Emery H. Nixon, died in 1961. They were married in 1920.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion, Pa.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Gearhart of Chambersburg, Pa., and Margaret C. Sentmyer of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; three sons, Robert E. Nixon of Fayetteville, Wilbur Nixon of New Jersey and Richard Nixon of Hagerstown; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg. The Rev. Guy W. Camp III will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.

Mary A. Draper
SMITHSBURG - Mary A. Draper, 75, of Mapleville Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at Fahrney-Keedy Home, Boonsboro.
Born May 25, 1922, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Earl and Ruth M. Heil Younker.
She was a 1941 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was employed at Fairchild Aircraft and Dutchie Pretzels.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Carroll W. Draper; one daughter, Linda C. Graybill of Cavetown; three sisters, Zita Eileen Duffey of Tucson, Ariz., Julia McAllister and Alice Twigg, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, William "Bill" Younker and John Danny Younker, both of Hagerstown; one granddaughter; two grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Everts and Jean Weigand; and two brothers, Samuel E. Younker Jr. and Harold Younker.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave., Smithsburg. The Rev. Julie Brigham will officiate. Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jean R. Lewis
FREDERICK, Md. - Jean Roselle Lewis, 59, of 1019 N. Market St., died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born May 5, 1938, in Mount Lena, Md., she was the daughter of the late William H. Watson and Gladys Vance Watson Mahone.
She retired in 1997 as office manager for Dr. Charles Kim after 18 years.
She was a member of Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church of Frederick.
She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Lewis; two daughters, Debra A. Breeden of Virginia and Donna J. Taylor of Frederick; a stepdaughter, Karen L. Miss of Frederick; three brothers, Thomas Watson of North Carolina, Gary Watson of Williamsport and Jeff Watson of Hagerstown; grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Etchison Memorial Chapel of Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. David Dawson will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
