Dinah L. Duncan
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Dinah Lee Duncan, 44, of 42 Concord Drive, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md.
Born Jan. 23, 1954, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Richard Leon Hahn Sr. and Bettie Ann Haws.
She was a 1972 graduate of Brunswick High School.
She was a secretary with Trans-Tech in Adamstown, Md.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was a member of the Society of Outstanding American High School Students; and was most recently a member of Brunswick High School Band Boosters.
She is survived by her husband, Mickey Duncan; a daughter, Lara Lynne Duncan at home; a son, Shane Travis Duncan at home; two sisters, Barbara Kolb of Adamstown, and JoAnn Hoffman of Brunswick; and three brothers, Richard Hahn Jr. of Hagerstown; David Hahn and Dennis Haws, both of Sharpsburg.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Brownsville Church of the Brethren, Brownsville Heights, Md.
The Rev. Edward A. Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Brownsville Heights Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road in Brunswick.
For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Catherine B.R. Harshman
MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Catherine Blanche Rebecca Minnick Harshman, 83, of 8870 Hawbottom Road, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.
Born Sept. 24, 1915, in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late John David Sr. and Blanche Cora Wiles Minnick.
She was the stepdaughter of Louise Minnick McCauley of Waynesboro, Pa.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ray L. Harshman; one daughter, Rebecca A. Hanshew of Frederick; one stepbrother, Ray A. Minnick of Waynesboro; Virginia Compher, Agathea Powell, Pauline Zimmerman, Audrea Feaga, all of Frederick, members of the family who raised her; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred M. Musgrove; and one brother, John David Minnich.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lutheran Cemetery in Middletown.
The Rev. Donald L. Turley will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

Gladys K. Schindler
Gladys K. "Mawgee" Schindler, 89, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, at her home.
Born Feb. 4, 1909, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Howard B. Sr. and Betty A. Diggs Diehl.
Her husband, Herman L. Schindler, died in 1991.
She retired in 1977 from M.P. Moller Inc., after 40 years of service.
She was a member of Washington Square United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria L. Smeltzer of Hagerstown; one brother, Howard B. Diehl Jr. of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy L. Stiner; one son, Keith C. Hamill; and one sister, Helen Keller.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
The Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer will officiate.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Laura E. Wilhelm
LONACONING, Md. - Laura Ellen Durst Wilhelm, 84, of Old Beechwood Road, S.W., died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, at Wilhelm Personal Care Home in Hagerstown.
Born Oct. 16, 1913, in Garrett County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dora McKenzie Durst.
Her husband, Scott O. Wilhelm, died in 1986.
She was a member of United Church of Christ in New Germany, Md.
She also was a member of Lonaconing Senior Citizens, Frostburg Moose and Morning Star Temple No. 1 Pythian Sisters in Lonaconing.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn L. Muir of Fresno, Calif., and Carol R. Beeman of Barton, Md.; six sons, Larry Wilhelm, Wendell S. Wilhelm, Michael D. Wilhelm, all of Lonaconing, Roger F. Wilhelm of Moscow, Md., Darrell B. Wilhelm of Hagerstown, and Stephen C. Wilhelm of Fredericksburg, Va.; 14 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly L. Wilhelm Moler.
Services will be announced later.
Friends will be received at Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home in Lonaconing, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where Morning Star Temple No. 1 Pythian Sisters will hold a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
Helen L. Moler
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Helen Louise Moler, 91, of 201 Ninth Ave., died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born Sept. 30, 1906, in Lucketts, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ernest I. and Mary Titus Loy.
Her husband, Forrest G. Moler, died in 1960.
She and her husband owned and operated Moler's Grocery in Brunswick.
She was a member of New York Hill United Methodist Church in Brunswick.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline McCoy of Phoenix, Md.; two sons, Robert K. Moler and Forrest G. Moler Jr., both of Knoxville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Champion, and two brothers, Lester Loy and James Loy.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at New York Hill United Methodist Church, Brunswick.
The Rev. Robert A. McCullough will officiate.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Leesburg, Va.

Katharine E. Miller
Katharine E. Miller, 73, of 16939 Fairview Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 29, 1924, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clayton F. and M. Esther Witmer Lehman.
She and her husband raised produce and attended Hagerstown City Market and the Farmers' Market near Halfway.
She was a member of Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss.
She is survived by her husband, Minister Earl M. Miller; four daughters, Janet Martin of Chambersburg, Lorriane Martin of Greencastle, Pa., Esther Eby of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, and Lois Martin of Smithsburg; two sons, Lester Miller of Hegins, Pa., and Ray Miller of Hagerstown; a sister, Verna Martin of Hagerstown; three brothers, Edgar Lehman of Chambersburg, J. Wilmer Lehman of Willow Hill, Pa., and Richard Lehman of Hagerstown; 31 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elva Ruth Frey and Pauline Martin.
Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss.
Bishop Darrel Martin and Ministers Richard Weber and Steven Martin will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Charles W. Hart Jr.
Charles William "Sonny" Hart Jr., 57, of 331 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 21, 1941, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles Sr. and Helen J. Hawbaker Hart.
He was employed by Hagerstown Block Co.
He previously worked for the Hagerstown Police Department and Washington County Sheriff's Department.
He was a member of Eagles 694, AMVETS Post 10 and American Legion Morris Frock Post 42.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hart; three daughters, Diane Love, Kimberly Reeder and Tracey Hart, all of Hagerstown; two sons, Randall Hart and David Hart, both of Hagerstown; a brother, Robert Hart of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
The Rev. J. Norman Mayer will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.
