SZASZ, STEVEN, SR., Age 78 of Flint. Died Thursday, August 31, 2000 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; Rev. Zoltan S. Sutto officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Sunday and 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Mr. Szasz was born June 28, 1922 in Hungary, the son of Karoly and Piroska Szasz. He retired from Fisher Body. He was a talented cabinet maker and a member of the Hungarian Culture Club in Detroit. Surviving are two children, Elizabeth Szasz-Nartker, Steven Szasz Jr.; three grandchildren, Edward (Kim) Zerka, Christine (James) Yoo, Meagan Szasz; two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Steven Zerka; and numerous family members in Hungary.
