Age 62, died Friday, May 14, 1999 at his home. He was born June 29, 1936 in Detroit, MI the son of William and S. Katherine (McIntyre) Quigley. John was united in marriage to Judith Darrow September 6, 1997 in Lakeland, MI. He was a member of the Ann Arbor Area Personnel Association, Jackson Area Manufacturers Association, American Management Association, and he was a United Way Coordinator. John is survived by: his wife Judith; children, John J. II (Pamela) Quigley of Albuquerque, NM, Kathy (Dirk) Buttke of Jenison, MI, Jim II (Alison) Quigley of Craig, AK, and Ken Quigley of Craig, AK; brothers, William G. Quigley of Chestertown, MD, and Raymond Quigley of Dexter, MI; sisters, Mary C. Doherty of Flint, MI and Sr. Carol Quigley IHM of Detroit, MI; six grandchildren, Brandon and Adam Quigley of Albuquerque, NM, Kristen and Kara Buttke of Jenison, MI, and Corbin and Patrick Quigley of Craig, AK. The funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 17, 1999 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dexter, MI with Fr. Brendan Walsh presiding. The family will receive visitors at HOSMER-MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL on Sunday from 2-9 p.m., and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass. A Scripture Service will be held Sunday evening at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the McCauley Cancer Center.

Age 51, died Wednesday, May 12, 1999. Visitation Sunday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Funeral Service Monday 11 a.m. at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell, (517-546-2800).

Dunn, Adeline Catherine, Ann Arbor, MI

Age 97, died Friday, May 14, 1999 at her home. Adeline was born January 25, 1902 in Monroe County, MI the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Schneph) Brant. On April 30, 1919 she married howard J. Dunn who preceded her in death on February 3, 1963. Mrs. Dunn was very invloved in the community, as a member of the Friendship Club, Ann Arbor Senior Citizens, Good Neighbors Group, Washtenaw County Farm Bureau, the Salem Historic Society, St. Thomas's Catholic Church and seventeen years on the Superior Townline School Board. Adeline also enjoyed square dancing and playing Euchre. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her children; Jerome H. (Lucy) Dunn of Ann Arbor, Harold F. (Phyllis) Dunn of Fremont, IN, Gerald B. Dunn of Ypsilanti, Camilla M. Dixon of Whitmore Lake, Richard V. (Dorothy) Dunn of Pittsford, MI, and Arlene D. (Wayne) DeForest of Ann Arbor; thirteen grandchildren' 24 great-grandchildren' five great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and by special friend, Ethel Mae Cline. Adeline is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Services will be held Monday, May 17, at noon at MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of services. The family will also receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Interment at St. Thomas cemetery. The family suggests donations, in Mrs. Dunn's memory, to Hospice of Washtenaw.

Smith, Alexandria Lee, Pinckney, MI

Age 6 1/2 weeks, passed away on May 13, 1999. She was born at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI on March 29, 1999. She is survived by her parents Christopher Sharrard and Kendra Smith; both grandparents: Rick and Danette Smith; Michael and Laura Sharrard. Two uncles: Ryan Smith and Ryan Sharrard; One aunt: Stephanie Sharrard; Great grandparents Bruce and Gloria Groomes and Nell Voice; Great paternal grandparent, Rose Marie Kranz. Visitation will be held at 6-8 PM, Sunday May 16 at Shelters Funeral Home, Pinckney, MI. The funeral will be at Pinckney Congregational Church at 11 AM Monday, May 17, officiating is Rev. Robert Ridenour. Burial will take place at Babyland Pinckney Cemetary.

Tyler, Robert E., Ypsilanti, MI

Age 67. Mr. Tyler passed away Thursday, May 13, 1999 at Oakwood Hospital Beyer Center, Ypsilanti. He was born August 7, 1931 in New Boston, MI the son of the late Harry and Genevie (Babcock) Tyler. He was a member of the Ypsilanti Moose Lodge and served his country in the US Navy. Survived by his wife, Virginia (Katzin) Tyler, three children, Allen (Pat) Tyler of Belleville, Lisa (Jeff) Hanneberg of Belleville and Sherry (Mark) Brawner of Idaho; five step-children, Charlene (Jess) Kovacs of Whitmore Lake, Ronald (Jackie) Rich of California, Danny (Brenda) Rich, Jimmie (Elaine) Rich, and Russell (Kathy) Rich, all of Tennessee; four grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Cole of Ypsilanti; and a brother, Marvin Tyler of Ypsilanti; also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Tyler. In-state, DAVID C. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, Belleville where friends may call 1-9 p.m. today with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Father Thomas H. Cusick, Priest of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville officiating. Interment, St. John's cemetery, Ypsilanti. Memorial Contributions to the Wishes of the Tyler Family would be appreciated.

Anderson, Tom Red, Ypsilanti Township, MI

Age 78, died Friday, May 14, 1999 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a short illness. He was born May 13, 1921 in Tokio, OH the son of James H. and Mary (Fisher) Anderson. Mr. Anderson was honorably discharged from the Army Air Corp in 1945. On January 24, 1942 he married Betty Ann Scharp in Frontier, MI and she survives. Mr. Anderson attended the Ypsilanti Free Methodist Church. He was a Master Plumber with Local 190, Ypsilanti for 50 years. Mr. Anderson will always be remembered for his love of family, fishing, and hunting. Survivors besides his wife include three sons, Rudy (Linda) Anderson of Chelsea, George Anderson of Grass Lake, MI and Jeffrey Anderson of Ypsilanti; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one baby daughter, Charlotte J. Anderson in 1942, one infant grandson, Wade Eldon Anderson in 1971; three sisters; and four brothers. Funeral service will be Monday, May 17, 1999 at 10 a.m. at the Ypsilanti Free Methodist Church, 1800 Packard Road with Pastor Mark Murphy and Rev. David Crane Co-Officiating. Burial will follow in Frontier cemetery, Hillsdale, MI at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Anderson's Memory may be made to the Ypsilanti or Chelsea Free Methodist Church. Iocca, Cheryl Ann, Ypsilanti, MI

Age 47, passed away May 13, 1999. She was born on May 31, 1951, the daughter of John R. and Effie S. (Ayoub) Iocca. Cheryl was a graduate of the University of Michigan and was an infectious disease officer at Chelsea Community Hospital. She had been an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, especially in the nursery and child care. Surviving is her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Iocca; her mother, Effie S. Williams of Pontiac; her sister, Yvonne Sarah Williams of Ypsilanti and a brother, Mark R. Williams of Monterey, CA; her formal husband, Mark Iocca of Jackson. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 17, 1999 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4205 Washtenaw Ave. with Rev. Ronald Zehnder, Officiant. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made in Cheryl's honor to the Memorial Fund of St. Luke Lutheran Church, envelopes are available at the Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., where family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

McCoubrey, Alyssa Danielle, Ann Arbor, MI

17 month old daughter of Daniel & Nicole (Anderson) McCoubrey, passed away at home Thursday, May 13, 1999. She was born on December 1, 1997, and has been a bundle of joy to her parents and all who knew her. Besides her parents she is survived by her grandparents; Richard & Mary Dingeldey of Ann Arbor, Robert Anderson of Stockbridge, David & Barbara McCoubrey of Sarasota, FL. Her great grandfathers; Charles Okenfuss & Herman Drawdy. Her uncles Robert Anderson & David McCoubrey Jr., and an aunt; Nicole Adkins. Niemi, Betty Lou, Dexter, MI

Age 70, passed away Thursday, May 13, 1999 at Arbor Hospice Residence after a short illness. Beloved wife of John C. Niemi; loving mother of daughters Jeanie (Gary) Bunn, Karen (Ron) Niemi Elton; son Robert Niemi (Wendy). She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was an avid bingo player and a free and loving spirit that made all who knew her enjoy being near her. A celebration of her life will be held on May 23, 1999 at 1 p.m. for family, friends and those who knew her at 9025 Trinkle Road. Gooch, Marjorie Gilchrist, Ann Arbor, MI

Marjorie Gilchrist Gooch, age 91, passed away Monday, May 10th, 1999 at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital. She is survived by daughter Nancy Jane Gooch of Ann Arbor, son Peter Gilchrist Gooch, Professor of Art at the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio; sisters Elinor Gilchrist Hill and Helene Gilchrist Ray, brother Roger Gilchrist of Kalamazoo, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Gooch, professor Emeritus of the University of Michigan. Mrs. Gooch received her BS from Western Michigan University in Education. Prior to teaching first grade for 25 years at Burns Park School in Ann Arbor, she taught in Washington D.C. A grave side service will be held in June in Gobles, Michigan. Alice M. Warshaw, Memorial Service

Alice M. Warshaw died unexpectedly at her winter home in Aspen, Colorado on February 24, 1999. A memorial service to honor her will be held at Beth Israel Congregation, 2000 Washtenaw, Ann Arbor on next Sunday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. A long-time resident of Ann Arbor, Alice was an active participant in community affairs. She was one of the founders and past-president of the Learning Disabilities Association of Washtenaw County, Michigan. She was past-president of the Ann Arbor chapter of Hadassah and played an active role in many other community organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alice M. Augustus, Margaret Wilhemia, Ypsilanti, MI

Age 96, died Thursday May 13 at the Gilbert Residence. She was born April 5, 1903 in Wheeling, West Virginia the daughter of Elizabeth and George Schramm. In 1924 she married Harold T. Dutch Augustus and he preceded her in death in 1974. Mrs. Augustus was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Ypsilanti. She was a life long member of the Literary Club and also a member of the Literary Council. Survivors include one brother in law, Lee M. Augustus of Ypsilanti; one daughter in law, Alice Augustus Klock; one son, Jerry K. (Anna) Augustus of Florida; six grandchildren, Janet (Eric) Anderson, Karen LaFond, Elizabeth Augustus, Peggy (Rick) Murphy, Carol (Anthony) Dondero and Barbara Kovac; 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Harold Thomas Augustus, Jr. in 1987 and one granddaughter, Sally Perkins. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 17, at 3 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with Fr. Jasper Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Garth at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Contributions in Mrs. Augustus' memory may be made to Gilbert Residence. Rossiter, Ted, Ann Arbor, MI

Age 80, passed away in Pompano Beach, Florida on May 12, 1999. Born in Norwalk, CT. Ted served as a Naval aviator during WWII. He spent his career as an automotive engineer working for the Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1977. An avid outdoorsman and world traveler, Ted was also an active member of the Nature Conservancy, Florida Trails, the Ann Arbor Flyers and Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by his wife Gloria; daughter, Marcia (Rick) Palmeri of Largo, Florida; son, David (Valerie Mangual) Rossiter of Ann Arbor, MI; three grandchildren, Jason, Laura and Danika; sister, Betty Grant of Palm City, Florida; brother Gordon (Betty) Rossiter of Easton, Maryland.
