Carole Corsten
IRON MOUNTAIN - Carole Corsten, 74, formerly of Quinnesec, most recently of ManorCare Health Service in Kingsford, died peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at Marquette General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Menominee, daughter of the late Gilbert and Clara (Roberts) Lemery.
Carole was a volunteer at the Caring House and during her stay at ManorCare she watched over her friends there. She was thought to be their Guardian Angel.
She loved her dog, Cocoa, who preceded her in death.
Carole is survived by a son, Greg (Linda) Corsten of Quinnesec; a daughter, Donna (Jeff) Bero of Menominee; a brother, Richard (Joan) Lemery of Davidson, Mich.; two sisters, Shirley 'Toots' Lemery of Menominee and June Olson of Milwaukee, and three grandchildren, Zara Corsten, Jeffrey and Mallory Corsten. She is further survived by nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald 'Duke' Lemery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Caring House in memory of Carole.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

Ottillee Butler
KINGSFORD - Ottillee R. Butler, 97, formerly of 813 Michael St., Kingsford, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born Oct. 31, 1904, in Kalkaska, Mich., daughter of the late Gustavus and Lenora (Brown) Albert. She was raised in Central Lake, Mich., and graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in physical education.
Ottillee worked as an elementary school teacher in several school systems, including Bad Axe, Marion, East Jordan, Standish, Sebewaing and Farmington, Mich. Her teaching career spanned from 1925 to her retirement in 1969. She was recognized for her teaching and creative ability in the classroom by the Farmington School System.
She married her husband, Amos, in 1929. After her husbands stroke in 1954 she remained his caregiver until his death in 1990.
Ottillee was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Pine Mountain Duplicate Bridge Club and a member of the Michigan Education Association.
She enjoyed bowling, oil painting, sketching, music and games. In her younger years she was very athletic and participated in tennis, basketball, badminton and volleyball.
Ottillee loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Ottillee is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Robert) Bowman of Spread Eagle, Wis.; three grandchildren, Bill (Sue) Bowman of South Lake Tahoe, Linda (Dave) Bertola of Green Bay, Wis., and Judy (Theron) Johnson of Warm Springs, Ore., and four great-grandchildren, Bryan and Gina Bertola, Maddison and Alec Bowman.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Meredith Rupe will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
A memorial will be established in her memory at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.

Douglas Hehn
FLORENCE, Wis. - Douglas S. Hehn, 44, of 2532 County U, Florence, Wis., died suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 9, 1958, in Milwaukee, son of Lyall and Arlene (Murphy) Hehn.
Doug was a loving husband of Darlene (Fayas). They were married on Sept. 22, 1990.
He worked as a service technician for Flitz Service Corp. out of Milwaukee for 21 years.
Doug was a member of the American Hunting Club. His passion for the outdoors included hunting, camping, four-wheeling and cooking out with family and friends. He also took pride in restoration of old cars.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Fayas); a daughter, Alicia Hehn at home; his parents, Lyall and Arlene Hehn of Milwaukee; three brothers, Robert (Jody) Hehn of Boscobel, Wis., Kevin Hehn of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Jeff (Barb) Hehn of Niagara, Wis., and two sisters, Mary Ann (Josh) Bahr of Hartland, Wis., and Sherri Hehn of Milwaukee. Doug and Darlene were caregivers for Anne DeCrecenzo, who also survives, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
To know Doug was to love him, as he was a friend to many. Always there to lend a helping hand.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. David Wilton will officiate.
The family has entrusted to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.

Jamie Galbraith
IRON MOUNTAIN - Jamie D. Galbraith, 78, of 837 East C St., Iron Mountain, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
He was born March 23, 1924, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Lynn and Hester (Cook) Galbraith. He was a graduate of Kingsford High School, class of 1942.
Jamie married Jean Olson on Nov. 1, 1944, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 1985.
He had been a resident of this area his entire life.
Jamie purchased Hancock Wood Products Inc. in 1976 and operated the business until his retirement in 1990.
He was an active member of the First Covenant Church in Iron Mountain, where he served many years as the Sunday school superintendent. He also sang in the choir for many years and served on the church board of trustees.
Jamie loved golfing and was a member of Oak Crest Golf Course in Norway and Whispering Pines Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Ryan and Bernice Meier.
Jamie is survived by a son, Michael Galbraith of Kingsford; a daughter, Cynthia Galbraith of Walnut Creek, Calif.; a brother, Ray 'Dean' (Margaret) Galbraith of Aurora, Wis.; a sister, Florence Frederick of Santa Rosa, Calif.; three grandchildren, Rochelle, Adam and Joshua Galbraith, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Covenant Church in Iron Mountain. Rev. Bruce Linscheid will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.

Mario Carubini
IRON MOUNTAIN - Mario Carubini, 73, 204 East Sixth St., Iron Mountain, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Freeman Convalescent Center in Kingsford.
He was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Antonio and Elisa (Mari) Carubini.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and while stationed in Italy met his future wife, Delfina Dezi. On Sept. 22, 1957, they were married in Monterosso Marche, Italy. She preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 1996.
Mario was employed by Cleveland Cliffs Inc. for several years, working in the area iron mines.
He was also a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain.
Mario enjoyed small game hunting, taking walks and was especially fond of his garden.
He is survived by one son, Sandro (Donna) Carubini of Breitung Township; a daughter, Lisa Carubini of Iron Mountain; two grandchildren, Kelby and Ashley; a sister-in law, Betty Carobine of Breitung Township; brothers-in law and sisters-in law, Dario (Luigina) Dezi, Elsa (Alvaro) Stefani, Marisa Conti, and Primo (Livia) Grassi, all of Monterosso Marche, Italy, and Mario (Zarina) Camilletti of Rome, Italy; special friends of the family are Giacomina Bafile of Iron Mountain, and Rick Cavalieri of Breitung Township. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Mario was preceded in death by one brother, Primo Carobine.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Parish prayers will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Iron Mountain. Fr. Raymond Valerio will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
Pallbearers will be Kelby McElroy, John, Peter, Anthony and James Carobine and Oliver Cristan.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.

Grace Person
IRON MOUNTAIN - Grace Elizabeth Person, 80, passed away at her home on Moon Lake Drive, Breitung Township, on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002.
Grace, the daughter of Thomas and Ruth Homes, was born March 3, 1922, in Ishpeming. The family settled in Kingsford in 1923.
After graduating from Kingsford High School in 1939, Grace worked for J.C. Penney, Dr. G.H. Boyce Sr. and Dr. H.D. McEachran. For 20 years, she worked in the physical therapy department at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, retiring in 1985. Whenever 'Gracie' worked, she greeted people with her genuine smile and her cheerful disposition.
Grace married Halvar Manley Person of Iron Mountain on June 25, 1949. They celebrated 47 wonderful years together as she devoted her life to being an exceptional wife, mother, and Christian example. Hal preceded her in death on May 18, 1996.
Grace was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She became a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in 1987. She was also an active member of Job's Daughters Bethel #6 as a girl and as an adult served as a Bethel Guardian for several terms. Grace was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Sharon Shrine.
She lived her life by putting others first, and she was loved by all who were fortunate to know her.
Reading novels, sending cards, tending her flowers, spoiling her cat and admiring the lake, birds and wildlife outside her window were a few of her favorite past-times. Most of all, she enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Person leaves two daughters, Pamela (Sandy) King of Iron Mountain and Marcia (Tom) Lundberg of Spread Eagle, Wis.; four grandchildren, Anthony King and Elizabeth King of Iron Mountain, Michelle (Gordon) Sinning of Bloomington, Ind., and Nicole Lundberg (John Nickola) of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; a brother, Paul (Nora Mae) Homes of Shell Lake, Wis.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Dorothy Person of Spread Eagle, Wis., and many cousins, nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Grace's loving heart and gentle, caring ways will be greatly missed by all. By example, she taught us patience, faith and compassion for others, and for that we will be forever grateful. Grace was truly a blessing from God.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Iron Mountain. Fr. Charles Piper will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
A memorial fund will be established.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
