Audrey Theuerkauf
IRON MOUNTAIN - Audrey Lee Theuerkauf, the precious infant daughter of Brian and Amy (Krenn) Theuerkauf, passed away after a courageous battle on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born Oct. 3, 2005, in Neenah, Wis.
She is survived by her parents, Brian and Amy of Appleton, Wis.; her maternal grandparents, Carl and Marge Krenn of Niagara, Wis. and paternal grandparents, Linda and Steve Crossman of Menominee; four aunts, Jodi Krenn of Niagara, Becky (Derek) Sandstrom of Marquette, Tracy (Jason) Axtell of Menominee and Carrie Theuerkauf of DePere, Wis.; great-grandparents, Lois Krenn of Niagara, Shirley and Rodney Shafer of Pembine, Wis., Duane and Lorraine Philips of Wallace and Dorothy Theuerkauf of Menominee; and many cousins, great-aunts, and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Carl Theuerkauf; an uncle, Daniel Theuerkauf; and a great-grandfather, Carl Theuerkauf.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Niagara cemetery.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

Joseph Laskowski
BREITUNG TOWNSHIP - Joseph L. Laskowski, 59, of W8089 Haystack View Drive in Breitung Township died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1946, in Detroit, the son of the late Edward and Gertrude (Brooks) Laskowski.
He graduated from Armada High School in Armada, lower Michigan in 1964. Joe served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam.
He moved to Iron Mountain in 1976 and worked for Khoury's for 16 years where he was a maintenance supervisor. From 1994 to the present, he worked for UP Security. Joe was a hard worker and was very dedicated to his work. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Michael) Callaway of Beverly Hills, Fla. and Marie (Scott) Broxholm of Lansing, and their mother Wendy Dean of Kingsford; two brothers, Donald (Annette) Laskowski of Armada and Paul (Sharon) Laskowski of Norway; three sisters, Rose Marie (Richard) Ternes of Westland, lower Michigan; Phyllis Troppens of Clinton Township, lower Michigan, and Marion Laskowski of Ann Arbor; three grandchildren, Nicalas, Abigail, and Sydney; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Robert Mueller will officiate.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Salvation Army.

Kathleen Lee
FORT CARSON, Colo. - Kathleen J. Lee, 48 of Fort Carson, Colo., formerly of Kingsford, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, in Colorado.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1956, in Limestone, Minn., the daughter of Donald and the late Joyce Noreen Caven.
Kathy graduated from Gwinn High School. She enjoyed decorating.
She married Donald Joe Lee, Jr. on Dec. 28, 1995, at American Martyrs Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Jason (fiance, Kristen DeYounghe) Audette, Jennifer (Andrew) Johnson, Jack Audette, Kassandra Lee, Donald Lee III and Elizabeth Lee; her father, Donald Caven; three sisters, Jennifer Edwards, Marcia Caven, and Julie Caven; one granddaughter, Amara Johnson and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Donald Lee.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Caven.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the church. Father Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Quinnesec cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Jack Audette, Michael Edwards, Donald and Michael Lee, and Andrew Johnson.

Sandra Amicangelo
KINGSFORD - Sandra Amicangelo, 44, of 601 Eskil Ave., Kingsford, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1961, in Racine, Wis., the daughter of the late Herman and Ellen Smith.
Sandra worked as a secretary for the law office of Peter Kivisaari.
She is survived by a brother, Dave (Debbie) Bergevain of Caledonia, Wis.
Private family services were held.
The family would like to thank Pam Coppock for being such a dear friend.
They would also like to thank the doctors and staff of Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and ManorCare Health Services and Jim and Kim Ketchum for their loving care.

Richard Maher
IRON MOUNTAIN - Richard Jude Maher, 71, of 1116 Bayshore Drive, Iron Mountain, joined his beloved wife on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. with family at his side.
He was born July 2, 1934, in Detroit, the son of William and Helena (Delmotte) Maher. He was proud to be an American and served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
He married Justine Marie Strock on Jan. 23, 1960, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Detroit and they enjoyed 42 years together. They moved to Iron Mountain in 1970 when Richard's job with Blue Cross Blue Shield offered him the opportunity to move his family from the city. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2002.
He enjoyed playing pool, dining out, visiting with his friends and family and teaching his grandchildren to play. He also enjoyed being busy with yard work, woodworking, water-boating, swimming and fishing. He would often call his children 'into his office' to chat.
He is survived by his caring daughters, Marie (Roland) Calkins of Aurora, Wis. and Susan (Richard) Dobis of Lake Orion; sons, Richard (Mara) Maher of Ironwood and Robert (Jody) Maher of Iron Mountain; grandchildren, Arminda (Pete) Sandstrom, R. Evan, Celeste, and Zachary Calkins; Matthew, Katrina, Michael and Kimberly Dobis; and Robert, Amanda, Spencer and Sydney Maher; sisters, Barbara Lewis and Mary (Henry) Gesing; and brothers Tom (Linda) Maher and Michael (Joyce) Maher all of lower Michigan.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Erickson- Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain with Rev. Tom Blomberg officiating.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
Pallbearers will be Richard Maher, Robert Maher, Roland Calkins, Richard Dobis, R. Evan Calkins and Steve Simbob.

Herbert Christesen
BREITUNG TOWNSHIP - Herbert J. Christesen, 90 of N3795 Bass Lake Road, Breitung Township, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at ManorCare Health Systems in Kingsford.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1915, in Florence, Wis., son of the late Ellis and Elizabeth Christesen. Herbert graduated from Kingsford High School in 1933.
He was married to his wife, the former Ada Knudsen, in 1937. They spent 68 wedded years together. He was employed with the Hoyle/Newberg Construction Co. and Lakeshore Inc. until his retirement.
Herbert was member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. As a member through the years he served in various capacities. He was member of the council for many years, usher, and a member of the finance committee.
Gardening, lawn work and visiting with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his favorite pastimes.
Herbert was a devoted husband to his wife, Ada; father of three sons, Gerald, James (Noreen) and David (Carol), all of Iron Mountain; one daughter, Linda (Doug) Dodd of Norway; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Ellis (Norma) Christesen of Green Bay, Wis.; two sisters, Vivian (Joseph) Safranek of Waukesha, Wis. and Betty (Jerome) Molitor of West Village Lake, Calif. and many nieces and nephews.
Herbert was preceded in death by his brother, William, of Milwaukee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. at the church. Rev. Stephen Cowen will officiate.
Burial will be at Iron Mountain cemetery Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his memory at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain.

Michael Cahill
KINGSFORD - Michael James Cahill, 62, of Kingsford, died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at Marquette General Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 11, 1943, in Chicago, the son of the late James F. and Dorothy (Stearns) Cahill. Michael graduated from Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Ill. in 1961. He received a degree in accounting from Northern Michigan University in Marquette.
On May 11, 1968, he married Mary Kay Rice in Bellwood, Ill. In 1971, they moved to Kingsford and have been residents here since that time. He owned and operated his accounting firm in Iron Mountain for many years. He was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Serra Club, and the Knights of Columbus. Michael had a special interest in the youth of this area and he coached youth soccer for 18 years. He was very active in the Cursillo and Youth Encounter movements.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; four children, Michael (Mary Beth) Cahill Jr. of Alexandria, Va., Sara Cahill and John Cahill, both of Arlington, Va. and Maria (Michael) Hoisington of Faribault, Minn.; one sister, Nancy (Josef) Keller of Chicago; four grandchildren, Marin, Mick, and Cregan Cahill and Zacharius Hoisington; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Daniel Zaloga will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
Pallbearers will be Peter Keller, William Stearns Jr., Doug Roberts, Michael Hoisington, Todd Dooley, and Rick Johnson.

Asahel Wheeler
KINGSFORD - Asahel 'Ace' Wheeler, 95, of 328 Wilson, Kingsford, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at ManorCare Health Care Systems in Kingsford.
He was born on Aug. 20, 1910, in Iron River, son of the late Howard and Alma (Carlson) Wheeler. He graduated from Iron River High School in 1928. He served in the United States Army in World War II.
Ace married Olive Harrington on Jan. 24, 1942, and they spent 63 wonderful years together. He worked for the Milwaukee Road Railroad for over 40 years, retiring in 1975. He was an avid bowler and a very good one. He served as the past Exalted Ruler and was a charter member of the Iron River Elks Lodge.
Ace is survived by his wife of more than 63 years, Olive, of Kingsford; two special cousins, Frances (John) Jamar of Iron Mountain, and Judy Fisher of Iron River and several other cousins, nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Michael March will officiate.
Burial will be at Rest Haven cemetery in Iron River.
