Bernice H. Ziehm
Bernice H. Ziehm, 88, of Fraser, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Mount Clemens General Hospital. She was born May 3, 1911, in Mount Clemens.
Ms. Ziehm worked at the Mount Clemens Pottery for 40 years, lining the dishes in the decal department. She also worked at the former Priehs department store in Mount Clemens.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica and Horizon Club of Mount Clemens. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Reinhold of Macomb Township, Patricia Grissom of Harrison Township, Cheryl Bucec of Clinton Township; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Thomas Grissom Jr.; brothers, Elmer, Leonard, Gustave, Floyd, Lawrence and Allen Logie; and sisters, Laura Logie, Amy Schock, Gertrude Alwardt, Maybelle Kalousek and Goldie Cornwell.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today at Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 S. Main St., Mount Clemens, with the Rev. George E. Black officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Utica, Building Fund.
Andrew N. Alexander
Andrew Nelson Alexander, 49, of Mount Clemens, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at St. John Riverview Hospital. He was born May 25, 1950, in Mount Clemens.
Mr. Alexander worked for Chrysler. He is survived by brother, Charles (Ethel) Alexander of New Haven; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Irene; brothers, Oscar, Harold and Elder; and sister, Frances.
A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at Bethlehem Temple Church, New Haven, with the Rev. Phillip Bartell officiating. Burial will be in Centennial cemetery, New Haven.
Visitation is 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with family time 11:30 to noon.

Dorothy J. Halleran
Dorothy Jean Halleran, 78, of Clinton Township, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Church of Christ Care Center, Clinton Township. She was born July 10, 2000, in Detroit.
Miss Halleran enjoyed dancing and music, and was a resident of the care center for the past 14 years.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at S.K. Schultz Funeral Home, 21705 Gratiot, Eastpointe. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Detroit.

Walter Marunczak
Walter Marunczak, 81, of Gaylord, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Tendercare in Gaylord. He was born Sept. 4, 1918, in Hamtramck.
Mr. Marunczak was an auto mechanic and owned his own business, and earned his journeyman's card as a millwright. He enjoyed working on cars as a hobby.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens and St. Mary Cathedral in Gaylord. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; son, Walter (Maureen) Marunczak Jr. of North Branch; daughters, Mary Ann Sigler of Shelby Township and Betsy (David Allan) Kovach of Grosse Pointe Park; brother, Emil Maranczak of Hamtramck; sister, Sally Grzebinski of Mount Clemens; granddaughters, Stacey and Cassandra; and great-grandsons Millar James and Erich.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Michael Cooney officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic cemetery, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Sunday and noon-9 p.m. Monday with a 7:30 p.m. rosary recital at Will and Schwartzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens. Additional visitation is 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Juliana Patterson
Juliana Patterson, 56, of Roseville, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. She was born Feb. 8, 1944, in Detroit.
Mrs. Patterson loved her grandchildren and flowers.
She is survived by her children, Jon (Julie), Carolle, Matthew and Rebecca; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Emily; and brothers, Vernon and David Behnke.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover, Warren. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today.
Paula R. Wilkins
Paula Renee Wilkins, 32, of North Carolina, died Monday, April 10, 2000, in Lumberton, N.C. She was born Jan. 3, 1968, in Detroit.
Ms. Wilkins worked for a job placement agency and was a former 24-year Warren resident and a 7-year Detroit resident before moving to North Carolina where she lived for the last four years.
She was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and Western Michigan University.
She is survived by her father, Clyde R. Wilkins of Warren; mother, Paulette Bell Dial of Lumberton, N.C.; brother, Richard Kevin Wilkins of Center Line; stepfather, Alford "Toto" Dial of Pembroke, N.C.; grandmother, Biannie Wilkins of Shannon, N.C.; and nephew, Anthony James Moceri of Sterling Heights.
Services were held April 13, at Saddletree Church of God in Pembroke N.C. Burial was in Burnt Swamp Baptist Church cemetery.
Rachel A. Bousson
Rachel A. Bousson, 96, of Macomb Township, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 26, 1903, in Belgium.
Mrs. Bousson was a Belgian dress maker who enjoyed gardening, flowers and sewing. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Macomb Township.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Bousson of Macomb Township; daughter, JoAnn (John) Del Proposto of Oakland, Mich.; sisters, Augusta Wullaert and Hedwiges Ternes, both of Shelby Township; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Bousson; daughters, Rosemary Gryspeerd and Marie Wilk; brothers, Adehmar Reygaert and Omer Reygaert; and sisters, Martha Van Thomme, Angele Cremers and Estella Reiss.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb Township, with the Rev. Mike Hrydziuszko officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.

Domenico Ceravolo
Domenico Ceravolo, 81, of St. Clair Shores, died Saturday, April 15, 2000. He was born April 6, 1919, in Vena DiMaida, Catalza, Italy.
Mr. Ceravolo was a member of the Italian Associazione Nazionale Combattenti E. Reduci and served in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Rocco (Kim); daughters, Betty (Gregory) Sands and Lucia (John) Pollic; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons funeral home, 36900 Schoenherr, Sterling Heights, and 10 a.m. in St. Gertrude Catholic Church, St. Clair Shores.
Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today, with an 8 p.m. rosary recital, at the funeral home.
Ray R. Filipchuk
Ray Roman Filipchuk, 67, a former Sterling Heights city official, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, in William Beaumont Hospital, Troy. He was born June 10, 1932, in Detroit.
Mr. Filipchuk retired in 1994 following 27 years of service as director of public services for the city of Sterling Heights. After his retirement, he served one 2-year term as a member of the Sterling Heights City Council.
As a tribute to his years of service, the city renamed its public works department building on 18 Mile Road and Van Dyke after him. City officials said he was instrumental in developing the community's infrastructure, including acquisition of grants to create the city's park system.
"I never saw anyone who knew as much about his community as Ray Filipchuk," City Manager Steve Duchane said. "He was well liked both as a professional administrator and elected official."
In Sterling Heights, he served on the citizens advisory committee, traffic advisory committee, solid waste management commission, library advisory committee and was a founding member of the Sterling Heights Rotary Club where he was named Rotarian of the Year in 1998, and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award.
He graduated in 1954 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.
Mr. Filipchuk's 40-year career in municipal government began in 1954 as an assistant to the city engineer in Ferndale, and transferred to Hazel Park five years later where he served eight years as public services director.
He was a charter member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Warren, where he was on the church council for 17 years and was a Boy Scout Cub Master for four years at the church.
A charter member of the South Oakland County Municipal Engineers, he was a life member of American Public Works Association, a registered professional engineer, earned the highest level in American Society of Civil Engineers, recepient of the Administrator of the Year Award from Sterling Heights in 1993, and recipient of the Service to the Youth in Our Community from Stevenson High School's SOS Club in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Ronald J. (Vicki); stepchildren, Lorene Hopkins, William (Debbie) Plumb and Robert (Karen) Plumb; and 11 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Faith Lutheran Church, 37635 Dequindre Road, Troy, with the Rev. Warren Arndt officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel cemetery, Troy.

Roy N. Frazzitta
Roy N. Frazzitta, 84, of St. Clair Shores, died Monday, April 17, 2000, in his home. He was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Detroit.
Mr. Frazzitta was a retired tool and die maker.
He is survived by his sons, Ben (Gayle) and Frank (Joyce) Frazzitta; daughter, Frances (John) Lindsay; brother, Sam Frazzitta; sister, Catherine Gervasi; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances; and parents, Frank and Rose Frazzitta.
