BURDICK - Dean K. Burdick, age 79, went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 3, 2011. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Burns); and brother, Orson. Surviving are his children, Keith (and fiancee, Paulette) Burdick, Deborah (Kevin) Byers, Brenda (Vince) Smith; nine grandchildren; his sisters, Pauline Weitzel, Marguerete Phelps, Jean Cook, and Elizabeth Hines. The Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 6, at Stroo Funeral Home, with Pastor Dale Byers, and Pastor Jim Carrier officiating. Interment in Kent Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

ROBBINS – Renee A. Robbins, 18, of Kentwood, MI and Oxford, MA, died on Sunday, October 2, 2011, from injuries sustained as a passenger in a motor vehicle accident in Northfield, VT. She is survived by her mother, Raemilee A. (Guith) Robbins of Kentwood, MI; her father and step-mother, Mark D. and Betsy G. Robbins of Oxford, MA; her sister, Michelle E. Robbins of Kentwood; her brother, Marcus A.A. Robbins of Oxford; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Sandra Guith Jr. of Kentwood: her paternal grandparents, Larry and Linda Napper of Warren, MI; and many great- grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew D. Robbins. Renee was born in Boston, and lived between Kentwood and Oxford, MA, before recently moving to Northfield, VT, where she attended school. Renee was a freshman at Norwich Military University in Northfield, where she studied criminal justice and computer security and information assurance. She graduated from East Kentwood High School in May and was involved in the Student Council at the school. She loved to play soccer. Calling hours have been held on Wednesday, October 5, in Oxford, MA. The Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 8, at Kentwood Community Church, 1200 60th St. SE, with Pastor Ian Nacy officiating. Interment in Blain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, 15 New England Executive Park, Burlington, MA 01803.

WYNSMA - Ida Mae Wynsma, aged 84, of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Dylan Wynsma. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, John; children, Tom (Kay) Wynsma, Randy (Julie) Wynsma, Mark Wynsma and friend Judy, Barb (John) Murray; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Issy Peterson, Joann (Keith) Blake; brother, Doyle (Carrie) Edson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Wynsma, Sybil Wynsma, Art (Esther) Wynsma; and several nieces and nephews. KALSBEEK - Tim H. Kalsbeek, aged 55, of Kentwood, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011. Tim worked for Key Plastics for 15 years. He loved spending time with his kids, especially going camping with them. His mother, Grace Kalsbeek, preceded him in death. Surviving are his children, Cory, Jordan, Ryan, and Ali Kalsbeek; father, Harold (Carol) Kalsbeek; sisters and brother, Jane (George) Vogel, Joyce (Dave) Guikema, Tom (Kathy Kooistra) Kalsbeek; step-sister and brothers, Gayle (Tom) Dyer, Al (Cheryl) VanHemert, Doug VanHemert; good friend, Lisa Cook; and many nieces and nephews. TAYLOR - Velma J. (Winger) Taylor, age 78, of Wayland, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean Winger. Velma loved to read. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Don; her children, Sharon A. Vaughn, Donald L. (Cindy) Taylor; brothers, John (Jane) Winger, Don (Shirley) Winger; sister, Mary (Lynn) Gibson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Thayer, Nathan Taylor, Steven Taylor, Lisa Taylor; great-granddaughter, Hailey Thayer; her in-laws, Millie (Bert) McKinney, Ray (Mary) Taylor; and step-brother, Melvin Clark. He worked for the Veterans Administration for 23 years. BRISTOL - Goldie Mae. I have lived a long and productive life and I went to be with my Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the age of 93. My beautiful 21 year old daughter, Diane Ruth, my wonderful husband of 68 years, Robert Warren, and my oldest son, Rollie Paul, were deceased before me. Surviving are my son, David Philip; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law.
