BETTY BARNETT MORRIS
Age 84, of Bloomfield Township, died February 19th in Miami, FL. She was born October 26, 1922, in Pueblo, CO. Betty Morris was a graduate of Eastman School of Music.
She taught school in Grosse Pointe,MI, Upper Darby, PA and the Birmingham School District until she retired in 1986.
Predeceased by husband Eugene Morris in 2001, she is survived by one daughter, Betty Jeanne of Pembroke Pines, FL, one son, Charles Kevin of Miami, FL; and two grandchildren, Perry and Caryn. A service is scheduled for March 9th at the Baptist Church in Great Valley, 945 N Valley Forge Rd, Devon, PA 19333. The family suggests memorial tributes may be made in her name to the Humane Society or the Arthritis Foundation.

ROBERT D. DEN UYL
After a long battle with Parkinson's disease Bob died in his home in Vero Beach on February 25th, 2007.
He was born October 14, 1926 in Detroit and lived in Grosse Point, Michigan. After graduating from D.U.S. at 17 in 1944 he enlisted in the Merchant Marines in the second World War. After the war he went to the University of Michigan for two years and pledge Chi Psi Fraternity. He transferred to the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated with an M.B.A. in June, 1949. Seven days later he and the former Andrea Jorgenson were married in Kenilworth, Illinois on June 18. They lived in Birmingham, Michigan and moved to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where they still have a home. They have three children, Douglas Den Uyl 1950, Bruce Den Uyl 1952, Marcia Dietz 1955.He started his own Manufacturer's Rep. business in 1957 and besides work he loved sports, especially handball, tennis and windsurfing and traveling to many places. He has a home at Macatawa, Michigan near Holland, where his father Simon and his mother Marjorie grew up before moving to Detroit.
Besides his wife, he has a brother Richard and seven grandchildren, Julia and Deborah Den Uyl, Clark and Eric Den Uyl, and Lindsey, Andria and Erica Dietz. He is a 60 year member of the D.A.C. of Detroit and also belongs to the 100 Club. A service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero, the 3rd of March. Another service will be planned in the spring in Bloomfield Hills, MI, so the grandchildren can attend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Humane Society, the Parkinson's Foundation or Hospice in Vero or Bloomfield. Arrangements are under the direction of the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mildren Werner
April 11, 2007 of Garden City. Beloved wife of Welden.
Beloved wife of Welden. Beloved mother of Bonnie and Gary. sister of Bonnie Raper. Grandmother of Kimberly, Scott, Nicole and Jessica, five great grandchildren and special friend Bugsy.
Visitation was Saturday, April 14, 2-5pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Ave., Wayne. in lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Alzheimer's Association.

Constance Fenton
Of Farmington Hills, MI. died Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Preceded in death by parents, Reuben and Sophie Album of Minneapolis, MN.
survived by children, Cynthia Fenton of Cheverly, MD., and Robert L. (Aileen) Fenton Jr. of Fort Myers, FL.; grandchildren, Robert L. Fenton III, Halle Marie Fenton and Olivia Paige Fenton; and a sister, Marjorie Victor.
Funeral arrangements by the Hodroff Epstein Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 13, at 3 p.m. at Temple Israel, Minneapolis. There will also be a memorial service, on Tuesday, April 17, at 12:30 p.m. at Temple Beth El, 7400 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent tot the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Edward C. Cooke
Age 85, April 12, 2007.
Beloved husband of Margaret for 61 years. Dear father of Kevin (Kimberly). Grandfather of Matthew (Megan), Elizabeth and Laura. Brother of Victoria Kareus, Adelaide Leggatt and the late Clarion Cooke and Walter Cooke.
Funeral service Monday 11am at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile). Family will receive friends Sunday 3-8p.m. Interment White Chapel cemetery. Memorial tributes to Bloomfield Hills Baptist Church, 3600 Telegraph Rd., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302.

Doris M. Remington
Age 90, April 15, 2007 at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy. She was a resident of Redford Twp. and was born on January 28, 1917 in Leslie, MI to the late Henry and Ruth Clickner Richardson. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Remington. Doris was a member of the Redford Senior Community Center.
She is survived by son Larry (Gloria) Remington; granddaughters Sherry (Tim) Juuhl and Pam (Matt) Havens; and great-grandchildren Luca, Mike, and Noah. placed next to her husband at Mount Hope Memorial Gardens, Livonia.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 19th, 5pm-9pm at the Sterling Heights Chapel of the Obarzanek Funeral Home, 33250 Ryan Rd. (N. of 14 Mile Rd.). Funeral services will be on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation will take place at Meadowcrest Memorial Crematory, Detroit. Doris' cremains will be placed next to her husband at Mount Hope Memorial Gardens, Livonia.

Lucille G. LaPointe
Mrs. Alexander J. Lapointe of Birmingham, Michigan, died on April 15, 2007. She was born Lucille Eleanora George in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Paul and Lucille George, a widely known family in that city. On July 25, 1942, Lucille George became the wife of Alexander J. Lapointe, an outstanding scientist and chemical engineer, making significant contributions to the chemical and automotive industries. Mrs. Lapointe held various positions as a Librarian at Hoyt Public Library in Saginaw and Baldwin Public Library in Birmingham. She was particularly interested in cultural, artistic, and educational enterprises, a collector of art objects, rare books and first editions. She was a long time member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer of Birmingham.
She is survived by a nephew, Paul E. Troup of Saginaw, Michigan, and a niece, Lynn Hone of Laurel Maryland.
Visitation Wednesday, 1pm until the time of the service at 2pm at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum, 5950 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw, Michigan where entombment will follow beside her husband and parents. Funeral arrangements handled by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 248-435-0660. Memorial gifts may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1800 W. Maple, Birmingham

Age 68, April 24, 2007.
Loving husband of Maureen. Father of Sara (Adam) Levitsky, Jeffrey and Matthew. Grandfather of Abigail, Michael, Max and Miranda. Brother of Patricia (Dr. Brian) Miller and John.
Visitation Sunday 4-9pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile, Livonia. Monday prayers at the funeral home at 9:45 am, proceeding to the Church of Holy Family, 24505 Meadowbrook, Novi for his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Opal Oliver
Of White Lake, April 22, 2007, age 70. Born June 3, 1936 in Harlen, KY. Daughter of the late Hefferman and Bessie Ross; wife of Nelson Oliver; mother of Nelson S. Oliver (Diana), Lisa Anderson (Patrick), and Keith J. Oliver (Vickie); grandmother of Stacy Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Clint Oliver, Billy Plummer and Dalayna Plummer, Hope Oliver, Shania Oliver and Anthony Oliver; sister of Betty Keuthan; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Oliver was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the casinos. A Celebration of Opal's Life was held Tuesday, April 24, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford. Pastor Johnny Clements officiated. Interment Highland cemetery. Visitation was held at the funeral home Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Age 78, died April 19, 2007.
A Funeral Mass was held on April 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Lyon. Arrangements by Phillips Funeral Home, South Lyon.
