Philip joined the Royal Canadian Air Force upon the outbreak of WWII and served with distinction through 1945, including action with the 143rd Wing in Normandy, France; Eindhoven, Holland and Achmer, Germany, the liberation of Belsen concentration camp, and the loss of his brother William in action in Europe.
Philip began working as a custom home builder and designer after WWII, building many of the finest residences and commercial buildings in Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills in the 1950's, 60's and early 70's.
In 1972 he went into business with his brothers, Dennis & Robert building and operating the St. Clair Wilderness Campground in St. Clair, MI and most recently operating Indian Hills Golf Course at Kettle Point, Ontario.
Beloved husband of Aldona.
Father of Philip Michael, William (Vicky), Thomas (Ulla), Ruth Ann (John Lees), Beverly Suzanne Lepola (Clayton), James (Wendy), Christopher (Jeanne) and the late Judy.
Also survived by 9 grandchildren. Brother of Dennis and Robert.
Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 32515 Woodward Ave., (btwn 13-14 Mile) Friday 2-8pm. Scripture service Friday 7pm.
Funeral Mass Saturday 10am at St. Columban Church, 1775 Melton, Birmingham, MI.

Peggy was a retired First Grade Teacher for the Ferndale School System.
She was a devoted teacher and loved to travel.
Loving daughter of the late Julia and Samuel. Dear sister of Elizabeth VanWagnen (the late William), Olga “Mickey” Lomax (Eric), and the late Rose McGuire. Aunt of Gary VanWagnen (Tere Richardson), Cathy VanWagnen (Paul Baldes), Caryn MacDonald (David), Jeffrey VanWagnen (Jean), and Lynda Bucciarelli (Rick). Also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (btwn 13-14 Mile) Tuesday 2:00-8:00pm. Rosary Tuesday 7pm .

Paul D. McPheeters
Born in Berwyn, Illinois on May. 28, 1925
Departed on Jan. 27, 2004 and resided in Birmingham, MI.
Paul D. McPheeters, 78, of Birmingham, MI, formerly of Park Ridge, Illinois, died Jan. 27, 2004 at Wm. Beaumont Hospital.
He was born in Berwyn, Illinois and was married to Delores Kane for 57 years.
Paul served in the US Navy During WWII.
He graduated from Loyola University, Chicago with a BS in Commerce in 1947 and the University of Chicago with an MBA in 1966.
Paul was employed as a somputer systems analyst with Ford Motor Company for 35 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of the Birmingham Senior Men's Club and past president of the Ingleside Bridge Club.
He is survived by his wife Delores, three children Pamela Tiles (Edward) of Indianapolis, Dr. Kim (Cindy) of Flint, Glen C. (Holly) of Marietta, GA. six grandchildren: Kristen, Erik, Christine, Scott, Kelly Phoungphol (Derek) and Kyle and many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul D. and Mamie McPheeters, and a grandchild Katie.
Private family services have been held.

LEONARD MICHAEL MEGLINSKE ~~ US Navy VETERAN OF WW II and Korean CONFLICT
Mr. Meglinske, age 77, died February 5, 2004, at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy.
He was born June 13, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan.
Long-time resident of Sterling Heights.
Mr. Meglinske, now retired, worked as a Clay Modeler for Chrysler Corp.
He was a member of the VFW, the Elks, and the Moose organizations.
Military experience: a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of both WW II and the Korean Conflict.
Surviving Spouse: Nora E. (nee: Hamilton) Meglinske
Surviving Daughters: Lynda Lee Garbarino and Barbara Lesner (Kenneth).

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 8, 2004, from 2-8 PM at A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, MI (between Maple and Big Beaver), with an Evening Scripture Service at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 7:30 PM.
Funeral Mass: Monday, February 9, 2004 at 9:30 AM, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 4571 John R. Troy with Reverend Kenneth Kaucheck officiating.
Visitation at church begins Monday at 9 AM.

Ricarda Salcido Diaz
Age 89, of Adrian, passed away, May 3, 2009, at Tendecare of Adrian.
She was born October 25, 1919, in Pierda Negras, Mexico, the daughter of Juan Saracho & Evangelina Salcido.
Ricarda is survived by her two sons; Mario Sanchez and Jesse Sanchez both of Adrian, her grandchildren, Tina Marie (Pete) Torres and Jesse Lee Sanchez, her great grandchildren; Jazmine, Petee Torres and Ashton Blake and step sister, Mary Alice Ramsburger.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2009, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Pete Valdez officiating.
Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
Visitation will be on Wednesday May 6, 2009, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
