PATTERSON, DARRYLL DAVID Age 58 of Pontiac and Rochester Hills, Michigan; departed this life Wednesday, April 10th, 2002 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Darryll was born on February 5th, 1944 in Columbia, Tennessee to the union of James W. Patterson and the late David Elizabeth (Skeets) Patterson. He was the second offspring in a family of six children. His oldest brother James William Patterson and youngest brother DeForrest precede him in death. He is survived by his father James W. Patterson (Johnny), his wife Neleita, his sons Darryll (Coretta) and Che and his grandson Nicholas, his brothers Cedric (Nora) and Preston (Lisa) Patterson and his sister Monica (Michael) Lamb, a very special aunt Wanda Taggart, his dear friend N.Z. Bryant and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. He will be remembered fondly as a loving and generous father, husband, and friend. The family requests that in lieu of floral arrangements, contributions be made to the Darryll D. Patterson Scholarship Fund, 3591 S. Orchid Lane, Holt MI 48842. She was known for her love and respect of nature and wildlife. Her many years spent in retirement in the north woods filled her with joy and contentment.
